I concur on costs in Manila GE. Cant comment on other areas.
Since abortion is illegal in Phils the girl must procure the drug from just inside the church in Quiapo. One cannot bowl up to a drug store & buy it over the counter (in my experience).
IF the abortion drug works the girl WILL very likely need to have a medical procedure called a Dilatation & Curettage ( D 'n C in popular parlance).
In Manila the cost of the drugs + a good doc + a decent hospital + post op pain killers & iron tablets will cost the punter all of 25,000+
AV
Ok I should have been much clearer about this abortion pill option. Since its illegal it takes a little effort to get hold of.
To whom it may concern
About this pill "Misoprostol" its used to prevents gastric ulcers but its also used as an abortion pill. '''Cytotec and Cyprostol and Mibetec or Misotrol', Prostokos'' are brand names for Misoprostol. In the Philippines you have Cytotec thats what my wife used to end her pregnancy successfully.
You have to get a prescription from a doctor in order to get it (my wife got her prescription from a doctor who was friend with one of her girlfriends that was probabley very helpfull) offcourse she had to lie about her pregnancy. You can get the pills in local Pharmacies but its kind of rare but she got it there. The major Pharmacies will be more difficault becos they gonna interrogate you over that pill.
With a little effort you should be able to get a prescription and get hold of Cytotec if she can't get it maybe a friend or a relative can get it or maybe you can get it. Just be creative make something up, I have a hard time to see how you would not get it if one really tries because this is a medicine to treat ulcers people do use if for that.
There are a lot of vendors in Quaipo Manila who sells abortion pills illegally and abortion herbal medicine also. But you don't always know what you get so we didn't explore that option
Again this website is actually really good because its an organization dedicated to help women all over the world with unwanted pregnancies you get all the info you need about this and help too if needed. Don't do any abortion pills until reading this website. If you should not be successfull in getting your drug I think you can get help from this website. But its probabley faster to do it on you own.

About the costs of abortion 25000PHP+ sound to me a little expensive but I cannot disagree because each cases are diffrent it depends on what you do and where you do it and if there is complications etc etc.
For us the cost was much less and we were lucky I think because no complications and maybe becos we did this at an early stage that probabley helped: the cost of drug was 3000PHP, the examination fee after abortion 2500PHP, no painkillers (her choice I wanted to buy but she declined for some reasons) if your girl wants painkillers you buy it. But it took a little time for her to recover from this. This was in Manila last year.
Catswhiskers I keep my fingers crossed for you and your girl

Typo? Did you mean just outside the church?
Photo attached. I've heard from at least one person that it didn't work.

X
Do a search & read my post from exactly 12 months ago on this subject or google cytotek. Its an abortificient used legally in other countries by doctors & illegally by desperate women in the phils. Like all things medical it has side effects & is not 100% guaranteed (close enough).
As of 12 months ago one of the many politically inspired moral outrage 'crackdowns' had driven the vendors INSIDE the church with the unspoken but tacit approval of the church.
You want my girlfriend's phone number so you can quiz her too?

It's not necessary to be rude and it's not necessary for me to go back and read your posts from six months ago. The picture I took was from outside Quiapo church. I didn't go inside because they wouldn't allow me inside with a camera. If I had been inside, my post might have had a different tone. But I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt.
Your post in the last 48 hours said "inside" the church.
For the record, Amavida says abortion medicine (snake oil) is being sold inside a Catholic church. I should go back six months and look at his other post, but there is such a consistency of inaccurate information (in my opinion), that I really don't want to bother
Oh, and thank you for your unprovoked and unnecessary personal attack on the Manila thread. I've been rather impressed with most of your posts recently, but too bad you still carry this grudge.
I can't reply to rudeness or insults from AV, but if he has something factual to say I will be happy to reaccess. I've been wrong before and I've apologized before.

Yes, but it's also possible to use regular birth control pills in lieu of this pill. Feminal used to be the strongest BC pill available on the Phil mkt, but it has been withdrawn (outdated). The ones on the market now should suffice though, if taken in appropriate amounts and intervals. This is best done under medical supervison, of course!

SIM card for globe
How and when does a SIM card expire?
I have one card that I forgot to bring on my last trip, so it hasn't had a load in about a year.

X
I would guess about a year, but you don't have to worry about that. If the card expires you can easily replace it and typically the cost of the new SIM card includes enough minutes so that the cost of the SIM card becomes neglible.
I myself usually buy a 100p reload card before leaving the country so that I can recharge my phone upon landing on the next trip. That way I can have a roommate without barhopping on the first night.

X
They have an initial expiry date for FIRST USE. After that they stay active for a long time. Just add some load to it when you arrive X. Then again they are so ridiculously cheap why fret? Toss it & get a new one when you arrive unless you think people still want to contact you on that old number..

Abortificient's are the way to go. Read up on this.

You are absolutely correct, it should read "in lieu of Morning After Pill". I read the previous posts sloppily, thanks for pointing this out.
That said, this regimen is useful directly after, and as Mercury et al won't sell you MAP, this is the way to go in those cases..

overdosing your girlfriend on oral contraceptive pill is not a safe option for early pregnancy termination.
i am reposting this link in the hope that interested parties will get a clue.
http://www.womenonwaves.org/set-274-en.html
since we are talking about the phils where abortion is illegal the unhappy couple must take matters into their own hands by acquiring the abortifiicient drug & then seeking medical treatment for the girl after the fetus has been expelled.
ending a pregnancy by chemical can lead to serious medical complications for the girl. be prepared for medical expenses.
i shudder to think anyone would base their decisions solely on what is posted here. all the best.
Overdosing your girlfriend on Oral Contraceptive pill is NOT a safe option for early pregnancy termination.
Of course there is not such a thing as zero risk. Terminating a pregnancy carries a risk, so does giving birth to the child (usually a higher one to boot!).
For instance the oral contracive pill Nordette, widely available in PI pharmacies, contains the very same stuff (Levonorgestrel) as the ECP, but in lower dose.

As posted before, proper medical advice should be sought.
