A little shocking to see that the first post from a non-Viet visitor, that is seemingly there because of Cohen's reports, has already been paying more than Cohen stated the price is there.

Attention any and all visitors to Vietnam: Don't overpay! Morons have already ruined Thailand and Angeles city prices by overpaying and tipping like idiots there! There aren't many places that naive fools and idiot showoffs haven't basically ruined for themselves and the rest by overpaying and tipping in countries where there is no tipping culture among locals.

Remember that a person that overpays in Vietnam is viewed as a fool, a chump, and an easier target of more scams by locals in Vietnam. That is especially true of foreign fools that leave a large tip to show off or try to get a girl to like them by tipping her more money than any other guy would, which generally in Vietnam I don't think guys tip the girls at all generally. Maybe some rare guys do, but likely only a small percent of the main payment. Some places maybe there is a payment to the location and then a payment to the girl, but that is not a tip.

Again, don't pay more than prices recently posted on this forum. Especially from reports like those Cohen posted. (Unless haggling has truly been tried and the sellers didn't budge at all. Then maybe start walking away. Then look back. Haha. That is Asia).

Only budge on that a little if have already said "I know the price is 250,000 and not higher. " at least a couple of times and tried haggling to the point where none of the people are showing any flexibility and that is basically that. Then go to 260,000. Then maybe 275,000. 275,000.

Remember that this is mainly about preventing inflation in the long term. And actually the local viet customers don't want anybody to overpay either. Those guys want to keep the prices as low as possible.

Thus to maintain affordable prices and maintain friendliness from local customers, truly try to keep the prices at 250,000 there.

Likely coming there soon. Maybe next week. Sitting at a hotel in China now and Xiamen in China has been an example of how utterly bafflingly retarded a nation such as China can get when some overpay for years.

Some bubble tea shops in Ciamen sell a cup of bubble tea for almost 4 US dollars. In craphole China. Anyway, China is crashing and burning like a flaming turd now and most of the Chinese population obviously can't affordably buy that bubble tea and nor can most mainland Chinese afford the rents in China.

Also if you are a foreigner the BEST girls are never brought to you as they get requested by regulars by name and number etc, only the uglier girls will be brought to you as they are the ones not so busy. First off I find Hanoi info very sketchy and contradictory over the internet, so I'm going by provide as many facts as I can and hope this post doesn't get flagged for some commercial advertisement rule. So here we go.

November 2018 I go to Mai Spa on 47/5 Nguyen Khanh Toan. It's about a 20-25 min scooter ride from the old quarter. If you see the Lotte Plaza tower you are almost there. There are also a few other massage places around there too, such as Dich Blue Massage which is 3 buildings down and Sakura Spa maybe 2 blocks on 175 Bo Song. To get to Mai Spa you can ask your driver to take you to Highlands Coffee at the beginning of the block. There's a ton of construction in that area, so maybe tricky to find as Mai Spa is off the main road. It's on a small road parallel to the main one. It's like a frontage street.

So you walk in, they speak absolutely no English but they have an English menu (see my uploaded pic). Walk in and the guys will straight up say, 450 k + 500 k tip. You pay 450 k as you leave. 500 k goes to the girl in the room.

They take me upstairs and I use Google translate and ask the guy for a "skinny girl" and tipped him 100 k. He leads me to a room and I ask him about the window in the door but they all have it. I wait and within 5-10 minutes true to my request a tall skinny girl shows up maybe a 6/10 on my scale. She wasn't really doing it for me and seemed grumpy.
