Trip report Oct. 27-nov1st
Late report, got swamped with work when I came back. First time to MDE, 2 non speaking Asian dudes with google translate ready to go, RTFF, amazing map. Shout out to the one that made the list.
Day 1:
Buddy and I got an apartment near Parque Lleras, quite convenient but expensive, near an exito. No probs getting thru immigration got picked up by our driver. Got to our apartment around 11 pm. Met up with a gringo and some dude on fb that msg me at Parque lleras. Saw "independents" walking around. We decided to head up to La Isla. 5 peeps in a yellow taxi going up a hill, fun times. Got sat near the stage, had to purchase a bottle, forgot the name but it was nasty. Lots of hotties around but I did not pull. Buddy pulled a nice skinny with a cute butt, IRC her name was Jenny. Talks perfect english. Damage was 350 k, service was good. I got her whatsapp #. Went back to the apartment around 3 am.
Day 2:
Met up with a local tour guide he's a cool dude. We ate at a street corner, had that cheese on a toasted flat bread with mango juice. Tour guide will ask what you do, to get a better understanding of what you want to do and tailor out the day. Cool dude in my book. Afterwards we went up the mountain to run off it (skygliding). It was a very good exp, I would do it again. Afterwards we went to Energy. I believe it was around 1 pm there were 10 girls that were wearing costumes. I picked this angel, forget her name. Performance was amazing, massage was OK. I like the set-up they have and you can pay with a CC LOL. Went back to the apartment to freshen up and later on we went to dinner at san carbon. Afterwards we went to a seedy little strip club called "Apotcosis?" Something like that. Reminded me of a strip club in Mindanao, very seedy LOL. I pulled this tall one with curly hair, name escapes me. Damage was 200 k. Rooms were small, red paint, small ass shower, rock hard bed. Perfect. We danced to the reggaeton music then proceeded to do the nasty. Performance was 6/10, attitude was 8/10. My buddy pulled 2. He didn't like the first one, complained and got a discount for the 2nd one LOL. Back to the apartment.
Day 3:
Tour guide picked us up a little later than usual, long night LOL. We ate at El Rancherito for bfast. Loved the hot cocoa with leche, lactose intolerant but yolo. Did the tourist thing again and went to metrocables. Amazing city, we were talking on how our native country (PI) missed its chance to be like this. Afterwards we went to a diff casa, forgot the name sorry. Only 3 girls working. We didn't care, I pulled this one with fake everything. Talks ok english, from Venezuela. Performance 6/10, attitude 8/10. My buddy had performance issue to tour guide took us to get some Cialis. Decided we need to get some cohibas (most I've ever spent on this trip). We went to this restaurant to smoke and talk about life. Went back to Energy and only 4 girls there. Picked a curvier girl and got the "steam room" Holy hell shit was hot, shower was complicated, mirror on top of the bed full of water / steam. Performance 8/10 attitude 8/10, I couldn't shoot the gun, excuses were tired, dehydrated, getting old. Buddy pulled a short one with abs and does squats, he said perfect and got her WhatsApp, name is Camilla. Afterwards we went to the apartment to freshen up and walked to Parque Lleras. Amazed at the Halloween scene, we found a good place to sit and people watch.
Day 4:
Sunday, day of rest LOL. Ate at a small restaurant near the apartment and talked about how lucky we are in this trip. Friend whatsapp the girl Camilla to come over the apartment, I was kinda paranoid about bringing girls over, she met us at a restaurant near our place. She text her friend to come, so I wouldn't be alone. Three of us were in the apartment, she had a very good attitude, google translate mvp. Of course we took precautions, hide everything and watch our drinks. We only had water and plantain chips LOL. Then her friend arrived. Hooly shitt. Short about 5' skinny but with curves, name is Isabella. We hit it off, went to our separate rooms, we did it in the shower, bed, couch, walls LOL. Both stayed for 3-4 hrs, 300 k + taxi. We had grins on our faces, didn't get drugged up, no lame performances. So prior to coming to MDE I was using Seeking Arrangement. Was talking to this girl to meet me up when I was in MDE. Sent her a text to meet up at a restaurant. Buddy and I came, drank beer or two and talking on what's happening with our lives so far, we reached to an agreement that we are getting to be old dirty bastards then came my girl, holy shit she was hot. About 5'7 tight jeans and nice blouse? We hugged and order some food. She's a great talker, english, we stayed there for an hour or two just talking. Then she showed me her google translate (mvp) on what I wanted to do next. I said for a couple of hours, she quoted me 500 k, I'm like hmms. Little bro was like, "dude I want that" so I said sure, where?! Ended up in this IBIS love motel. Shit is amazing, she undressed and start dancing on the pole. Perfect body, nicely done man made boobs, girl squats and it shows. We stayed for 4 hours, more than it was agreed, but she had fun and price stayed the same. So Seeking Arrangement worked, tinder is shit in my opinion. Buddy called Camilla while I was with SA girl for overnight. I came home around 5 ish. Gringos still smoking outside hostel.
Day 5:
Last day. 2 hrs or so sleep, Buddy hailed a taxi for his overnight girl. Tourist stuff continued. Tour guide took us to Guatape, 740 steps, not so bad, just rest. Had a couple beers and photos for FB purposes. Went to this town with the white church, did some shopping. Lots of tourist, but good exp. We stopped by a restaurant, had a whole red snapper. We went down to mountain to Leutron, it was night time on Halloween day. Place itself was great, only 4 girls, I picked this tall dark one with see cups and curly hair. We proceeded to this room, and it was ehhhhhh just like the service. Performance was the worst I've gotten, but she did give me a good massage. Little bro was very disappointed and held off. After the hour met up with my friend and he said worst service by far. Back to the apartment, said goodby to our tour guide, awesome dude. Friend was leaving at 2 am and I was leaving at 6 am. We got our girls to come over. Friend left first, girl went with him to the airport, LOL uh oh. Told him we coming back. Had an excellent, multiple sessions with Isabella, little bro thanks cialis. At 530 am walked her to looked for a taxi, lots of backpackers still about smoking and looking at us kissing and groping. 6 am, driver pulled up and off to the airport. After immigration, cop asked me where I stayed, for what, how many days, how many bags I had, same thing before I went in the airplane. Then off I went.

Yes I made a fb account, didn't pull from them. Used tinder, no me gusta. Used seeking arrangement, worked out very well, possible luck. Tour guide was Willi, awesome dude, 10/10. Not a lot of casas visited, same with strip clubs, and SW scene not seen. Will I go back? In a heartbeat. Spanish needed? Maybe. Any questions, hit me up.
Return trip to Medellin this week. Wed- Sat.
Headed back to Medellin for my 2nd trip and can't wait! Arriving this Wed. And staying through Saturday. Will hit the usual spots (La Isla, Fase, Energy) but also wondering if there are any new or trending spots to hit? Also. Would be very much open to meeting up if anyone else is in the area!
TAKE NOTE. ATM vs. Cash vs. Credit Cards, which is best to use in Colombia
Gringos should pay attention to the new fees credit cards are being charged from the biggest processor in Colombia, CrediBanco. On two big purchases today (different businesses) they tried to charge 3. 5% transaction fee each time, without asking if I'd like to proceed like an ATM would. Only the grocery stores in my daily activities living here still do not charge this fee, but restaurants, businesses, etc have changed over recently. It doesn't matter if you opt to pay in pesos or dollars, which they do ask your choice, they take the money automatically.
It is now far better to use your ATM card to withdraw cash and pay that way. Credit cards should not be used unless you like getting clipped. This fee is obviously aimed at gringos as its justified as a currency "commission" so wouldn't affect a colombian credit card from colombian bank. I used to use credit cards for everything here but have slowly been forced to use them less and less, until today where there are now too few places to make it worth carrying around. On one large purchase I told the business to reverse the charge which they did, but remember this is South America and it will be a huge hassle dragging on for a month or two to ever see the money credited to my account. Best not to rely on customer service from the bank or the business.
Bringing foreign curreency and exchanging at a cambio (exchange house) is still the worst option as you get robbed for close to 10%, but the once great option of credit cards is no longer viable as you get smoked for the 3. 5% here in Colombia plus whatever your bank might charge at home. That leaves the ATM to get cash, which is the far superior choice. They offer the best exchange rates, and if you have a card from one of the banks mentioned many times before in this thread, there are no fees to take money out. If you see CrediBanco down the side of the hand held processing machine (purple sides, and front sometimes), put your card back in your pocket!
