I still do well in Cuba. Well, everything is relative. I can get fantastic ass, but it takes me an insane amount of work. It takes lots of rejections and scarred girls, and when they are interested, it takes dating and charming and... And that is for a mid-thirtees, Spanish-speaking, Cuba-experienced guy who by any standards is, well, lets just say, not at all scarry to look at...

So, if Jonsie speaks perfect Spanish, has been many times, have the street game that it takes and has just forgotten to tell us about all the rejections, then the picture is clearer for me. As it stands now, someone would read it and think 'Hey, that is something for me - Joe Rookie who can say 'gracias' and have never been to Cuba. I'm gonna swim in hot girls down there'. And it would be sad if a report like that lead to those kind of assumptions.

Since I am heading over for a couple of months in Cuba in a few weeks, I would love it if things looked like that now. That would be like returning to the 90's. But I doubt it has changed for the better since my last visit in spring.[/QUOTE]Good points.

The last time I was there I saw an extremely attractive young woman outside Habana Libre walking down the street minding her own business and very much ignoring me suddenly get questioned by several police immediately after tourist-looking me smiled at her.

Even if I had it as easy as Jonesie--and I don't doubt he's telling the truth--I would not represent Cuba as such easy pickens.

For one thing, it is not easy for every man, obviously. So unless I see a certified foto of Jonesie, I'm skeptical I can shag something as fine as that gorgeous woman he uploaded. Truly, Jonesie, my compliments.

More important, it is extremely hard for providers there now. Their "workplaces" are under constant surveillance.

Seriously, there are cameras outside the clubs filming girls as they get into the cars with guys. So if you pick-up a non-pro take her to Galliano's Casa de Musica, she will get her picture taken, either in the club or getting into the cab.

Approaching a non-provider in the wrong context, such as near Habana Libre, can get her booked and questioned.

So I would hope mongers are careful and discrete for the chicas sake. imho.

I know you have comparable experience in Havana, but your approach comes across as pugnacious.

I don't chase girls down La Rampa or in Parque Central because I know the police presence makes it the worst place to talk to girls and expect them to talk back. If I do troll the Malecon, it's mostly for nostalgic purposes. You won't find a lot of that in my reports because I stopped doing it because it stopped working at the percentages I prefer.

I've often said it, and I'll say it again. You can drop me off in Centro or Habana Vieja and usually within an hour, I'll be in some shitty apartment with no running water, a ladder for stairs, a dog under the bed, or some other "only in Cuba" scenario fucking some hot chica for 30-40cuc. I do this because this is something only Cuba offers. You can't pull that off in Medellin or Costa Rica.

Guys who bash Cuba because they miss the Veradero/Special Period days, or because there's no termas should get over it. Cuba is still one of the best places on earth to monger if you're willing to play by Cuba's rules. Which means girls won't talk to you on the street if there are cops around. It also means more often than not, the girl will want to take a seperate taxi because she doesn't want to cut sugar cane for a couple of years for being in the car with you when you're pulled over.

Cuba has plenty wrong with it, but it has plenty right. I won't apologize for knowing how to get what I want within the system...

If you guys want to call my style bickering or tell me I have an offputting way of participating, cool, so be it. I am active in here, I respond to the 10-15 plus weekly requests on advice and casas and what have you that are in my inbox weekly. Likie Jonesie, I do not get paid.

Heck, in Havana I have even, on occassion, walked up to some poor monger I saw in the street there striking out, and helped him to be in bed with a hot mulatta within 30 minutes. I consider muyself someone who likes to help, and I feel sorry for all the single men I see in Havana getting nothing, because they thought they had taken a trip to somewhere you could just walk around and pick girls off the trees.

I think I have about as much luck in Havana as Jonesie. Although I rarely pay. But thats with more than a year of experience in town. And to me, Jonesies report came off as a fantasy for the average monger, and not a realistic scene for anyone else than true Cuba-experts with months if not years of experience on top of fluent Spanish, good looks, youth, game and much more. And I think a clarification lacked.

But it's all good. I get few to no thank yous for the info I provide, I rarely even get a thank you after I spend half an hour answering some strangers Cuba-requests in my mailbox. I can live without that even though I find the attitude in here often too selfish. 'Give me some info and fuck off' seems to be the mindset of many posters.

But I also have a temper and some pride, and if the result of me questionning the 'report of distinction' tag for such a report is that I have to take these insults, that's just not cool.

And so I will definately consider doing what almost every single Cuba-veteran on these boards has done before me. Take my clothes and say adios muchachos. Just not worth it.

That's way too much, yes she could be very nice and give a very good service but for a cuba expert like you, and I don't doubt about it you are, this is too much, in my opinion every girl in salon Rojo, el Turquino, Habana delirio are a waste of time and money, most of the girls are soooo controlled by their chulo, that it is definitly very annoying.

I agree with Jonesie during daytime centro Habana or Habana vieja you have a lot more for less money.

It is also a little more advantageous to go in August. Alot of Cubans do not work in August as it is too hot. They are at the beach, at the clubs and on the streets. Fun times can be had at Cuban beaches in August.

Adding my 2 cents to the accessability of chics in Cuba. While what jonesie says is very believable. I'm not convinced on the pricing. True there are an abundance of girls to be had. Everywhere, however it all depends on what type of girl you are interested in. I break them down into categories, totally professionals (pros), professional-amatuer (pro-am) and totally amatuer (am). If a mongerer goes to havana, all they have to do is go to any "tourist" club like la cecilia that jonesie mentioned. However, this club has only pros working there, and be prepared to start the negotiations process at 100cuc, they are more less hot. Off course the later the night goes, the lower the price is, by then all the hot ones are accounted for. The pro-am market is found on the streets of Cuba. If a chick gives you the eye on the street, she is more or less is interested for some fee. Now if you see a really hot chic, no eye contact, I can assure you she has a boyfriend/husband. That doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try. But from my experience, they will blow you off. They probably have at least 10 guys hitting on them per day and they are already being taken care of by their boyfriend/husband, so what reason would they have to go for a tourist without transportation, living in a shitty casa particular, and risking the police. Now the amatuer market is kind of a dating process like anywhere else in the world, except in Cuba it takes a few dates to score. Off course the hotter the chick is, the more difficult the score becomes. I've been to other latin countries and still think that the quality, variety, you can have anything from black to Chinese and just overall sexuality is the best in Cuba. They just know how to fuck in bed. I think it's all that dancing that translates into incredible gyrations in the cama. And lastly, I don't think TG's posts at all sound like bickering, his posts are very informative and educational. Keep it up. Envious, you're going for a few months.

I agree with some other fellow mongers here, without knowing the signs and the going Cuba may appear like a dead fish. But well said! Sure, there are (almost) no pimped chicas with fake boobs, but if you know the dos and don'ts, speak some Spanish and above all don't monger where 100 yumas fight for a single average chica, Cuba is still the place to be.

I learned that the hard way. However the only scores I made were on the Malecon and off La Rampa.

I agree with you - this is very doable in Cuba. You may have to spend a 1/2 day approaching chicas to find one and then 1-2 hours time trying to find an illegal casa particular - after all this hassle, yes, you can land that kind of scenario. And you are right "only in Cuba" Its a big pain in the ass, but a fun and exciting adventure.

I miss the days when I went to Varadero, spent 1-2 hours looking found an 19 yo hottie, I hardly ever got rejection due to paranoia, and I invited her back to my casa particular and fucked her. None of this having to run around finding an illegal CP.

Having said that, when I went back in 07 08 - I had NO LUCK in Havana Vieja. Actually the only successes I had in La Habana were a 22yo non-pro hottie on the Malecon and a 24yo non-pro hottie I met on a side street off La Rampa.

Thinking there was too much paranoia - I went out to the Oriente. Holguin had paranoia, but not as bad as Habana. Not alot of chicas there maybe I saw 4 white girls who were clearly "on the market" - I met a non-pro and she was definetly scared. We had to go thru the rigamarole.

In other provinces: No girls in Bayamo nor in Cienfeugos nor Baracoa wanted anything to do with me. So it seems this is a country-wide paranoia with some cities more paranoid than others and different paranoia levels depending on day of week.

That is why I Like Cuba. To my knowledge Cuba did NOT have brothels even in the Special Period. I liked Cuba in the 90's because so many normal everyday girls were available and you could score alot easier because there was no paranoia and you could bring them to your CP to fvck them - so it was convenient.

In Cuba it is 100% OK for a cubana to share a cab ride with you or to get into your private car. I have NEVER had a girl request a seperate taxi. In fact, sharing the car makes it easy to talk to the girl - because they wont bust a girl in car with a foreinger. I have never heard of the seperate taxi thing - that is silly.

In 07/08 I went around Nov Feb. I never considered the time of the year to be a big factor.
