IMHO there is nothing wrong with asking about prices as this is part of the process and all reports should try, where possible, to include prices. If the quoted price is higher than the "guide" you would then reasonably expect better service and more GFE and a better quality location than is normal. Simples! For example, on the Costa Del Sol, the WGs at the Navy Bar in Puerto Banus ask for €300 for an hour (in the later hours can be negotiated down to €200) and they are typically nothing special to look at, the gorgeous babes at Milady Palace try to start off at €400, whereas at Estark you can get similar quality for €150, at Tonys in Fuengirola €100 and one of the SWs in Poligono Guadalhorce (and there are some hot ones there) for €30. So, nice to know the prices and the likely quality and not be taken to the cleaners.

A couple thoughts / questions:

The Raval area that I was talking about and which I regularly visited is CALLE RAMON and the 2 or 3 adjoining streets (can't remember the names). If you are standing on Las Ramblas facing the Liceu (opera house) and walk down the side street (right side) for a few blocks you see it.

I think the Rambla del Raval you are referring to is a completely different area. Yes I've read about the worsening situation in recent years on Las Ramblas with the influx of young African girls causing trouble at night and accosting male passer-bys.

It's such a SHAME that the city decided to crack down on the entire street-walking scene in the city because the Calle de Ramon it was a fairly tranquil area from what I remember. I never felt threatened or harassed. It also had a nice selection of very mature and plump ladies who were respectful and nice.

Shame on the city.

C / San Ramon was the street I was referring to. Mostly E European gals working there, a few Africans replace them after dark.

Brief Update:

On Monday afternoon I dug out one of the cell phone numbers of a streetwalker I used to see from near Calle Ramon (a very chubby and mature Brazilian lady who is 60 years old now). I asked her about the crackdown and police presence and she said that everything is basically the same as before. The police do their regular patrol but then move on. They don't seem very interested in the comings and goings of the area. The only difference she said is that there are fewer ladies now. (Well at least some good news)
