That said, one of my favorite sources for videos of any kind on youtube is Bangkok112. This guy posted a "Cheap Charlie" pub crawl last Thursday when I was there. He spent 644 baht and visited 10 places for a beer at each place. Watch it, its really fun:

I tried to follow it and got derailed twice by the obvious distractions. First I started in the late afternoon, at the Jack Tar on Soi 6 for a beer, sitting on the outside. As the video states, these places he lists are good for people watching and the Jack Tar did not disappoint. A short, chunky farang woman walked down the soi with her chubby toddler in her arms, nervously looking left to right in the bars like she was looking for someone. Probably safe to say that Daddy had gone AWOL and she knew where to find him.
Next stop was My Friend You, where the beers were indeed 55 baht. Went inside and had just ordered a beer when a local burst through the door, carrying a toddler with one hand over the child's eyes! He ran through the place and out the back with none of the staff batting an eye. Nothing was going on there yet, but one of the girls offered me a BJ at the bar for 800 baht, so I guess there could be nasty things going on that a toddler shouldn't see. That was something on "to do" list but I couldn't find any until then. Out of season, durian is hard to come by, but I ponied up 120 baht for a piece and decided it was really delicious despite the smell! Headed to the Windmill for Happy Hour and sat next to a friendly German guy who had barfined this one girl two nights in a row, and was going to barfine her again. I can't recall the specific amount he said he paid her, but it was somewhat more than what Banana Boi quoted below. But, I recall he perceived it as really cheap, as you would expect from someone who lived in the NRW, where living costs are in a different universe from Pattaya. The girl wasn't much to look at, but she was sticking close to her cash cow that night. Couldn't get any attention from the girls, like Banana Boi reported below and moved on having drank much more than one beer during happy hour.
