An unknown fact that many westerners don't know, there are few examples in this thread, is that to get a receptionist job in the PH you need a college degree, for other shitty jobs too, including thousands of call center girls. In other words there are a lot, I mean a lot of educated girls. Contrary to the popular believe that they are all uneducated.
Sorry to be THAT guy but the attraction of most call center jobs is that they are well paid but don't require a degree. Just the ability to handle hundreds of obnoxious and abusive customers per day calling the Help Desk.
You're correct in saying that it's surprising how many low level jobs require qualifications. The girl selling you socks in SM and fetching you a icecream cone in Jollie Bee is probably a college grad. She probably had to beat out hundreds of other girls to get the job and will be fired after 6 months so that the company doesn't have to pay her any benefits too.

The girls so far have been sweet, complacent and above average communicators. However, my limited sample size shows girls generally fit in two categories: (1) locals who while well-intentioned become unreliable by association with so many people who are failures and (2) pros who realize the country is a disaster and have either "worked" outside or are on the path to doing so. For the first group, the term rolling emergencies from a previous post is accurate.
For me, both groups are depressing to associate with. I'm not into pros, and for personal reasons, I can't respect weakness. On the other hand, it's refreshing to have clarity on which cultures do work by seeing those that don't.
Most of the girls I talked to quoted 20 k+, but went down for 10 k. I'm not yet 40 and reasonably fit. Even so, I don't see myself staying in Manila. The city is a disaster. Basically if a rural US town (depressing, crappy food, fat people with unhealthy habits) had a baby with a Latin American country (crime, dysfunction, guys with guns guarding everything). I've bought so many fruits / vegetables that were essentially flavorless, I'm probably leaving in a week to avoid having the shit vibe impacting mine.
Mate, if you were getting quotes for 10 - 20 k, you were probably looking in the wrong places or haven't dug deeper into the options available via this forum.
Sure, I agree, Manila can be a shithole, but you can definitely have a good time for a few days and travel quite cheaply to other areas or islands.
If you're an under-40 foreigner and fit as you mention, in some of these places, even Manila, you'd have sex on tap in The Phils with some pretty hot girls _ From experience.
I can't compare the fruit and veggies. Never had a problem with them.
Have always (since my first visit when I was 21/22) been focused on the pussy platter instead.

_ Phil.
The fruits and veggies are identical in taste with the ones in the USA, just smaller size, and more expensive in the PH.
In both countries the main ingredient in the manufacturing formula seems to be plastic. In addition the PH tomatoes and peppers have the thickest skin on the planet, I think they are engineered for interplanetary travel food supplies.
On the other hand on my island in may-June when the mangoes are ripe, and start falling from the trees on the side of the road, you never tasted something more juicy, full of flavor and aroma, diabetes inducing sweet. I was thinking to experiment making wine or buzz out of them.
What drama? Those disappointed by Manila tend to fall into two categories: the 'scammed' where a fool and his money were soon parted and; those who have their trips planned to the minute and come away downhearted when their holiday didn't operate with military precision.
We've all had disappointing nights and 10's that were in fact 4's in person but just shake it off and move on. Manila specifically and Philippines generally can be great fun but if you are the type of guy who needs to know what will be happening at 7:15 pm Tuesday night, then I'd agree that they aren't for you.
A 6/4 split between Jakarta and Manila sounds about right. They are very similar but the biggest differences is that, post Blok M collapse, Jakarta is a place to go to one venue at a time where as Manila has entertainment areas where you can easily walk from one to another, sampling each. During Ramadan, I would take Manila over Jakarta any year.
Enjoy. G.
Thanks for the input. I've decided to stick with my plan of spending 4 nights in Manila and not let someone else's experience change that. From my own experience, Jakarta is easier, cheaper to find girls at a few concentrated spots but harder to have conversations, whereas in Filipino women are easy to talk to because of language and culture. However, I will switch my hotel to Malate from Makati so I can get a taste of authentic Filipino life food, music, transportation, the whole vibe, and closer access to freelancers at Midnight Heaven, G Spot, Robinsons. From what I've read, Makati mostly caters to foreigners with its go-go bars, nightlife, clubs, freelancers in and around P Burgos St are mostly organized streetwalkers controlled by pimps.

Music will be the neighborhood karaoke, with the most boring songs you ever heard, handpicked to sound the same, no salt and pepper, no kick to them.

I know I wouldn't. Even Filipinos hate their corrupt government and low wages. Hence the high numbers of overseas Filipino workers. High, slow traffic caused by stupid trikes and jeepneys, god awful deafening karaoke, unnecessary bureaucracy, long lines and general lack of Filipino planning for anything more than a day in advance are more reasons to complain about this charming, ill-managed country.
While I haven't sampled the sex in other SEA countries besides Thailand, I can confirm that so far, the sex here has been better than Thailand. In that it's less transactional and less fake (or I just can't tell it's fake). However, the GFE has been lighter than I'm used to perhaps due to my beard. It's well trimmed but "tickles". Has anyone else had this problem?
I may also have discovered a problem to the food. Which is to test drive some girls here for a week, then fly out to somewhere with better food and fly the girl I like in on the weekends. Leaning towards doing that because sensitive stomach has digestive issues here even when I mostly cook at home, and buy from (like the 2) organic markets.

My overall experience had been very positive with filipino ladies (even outside Philippines), they are less transactional and even though some initially were shy but once the clothes are off they shed the shyness too. During my last visit, one of days I had come 4 times and was meeting 3 lady (that I found through DIA), since I couldn't come and was tired I stopped and sat on the couch. She came over and gave me BBJ after few minutes and made sure I came (her mouth). I would certainly spend more time when I visit next time.

Most take it as a personal insult when told that I'm tired and may not be able to finish.
I've had several literally laugh at me and say 'not on my watch' then proceed to ensure that the seeds are spilt.

I'm going to try out Manila Courtesans based on positive reviews here. Can anyone recommend a particular WG on their roster? I'm looking for someone who is open to photography and a facial. This is explicitly excluded in their website, so I expect it would be the result of some additional financial incentives.
Seventy pounds of good clean fun in the city. Tiny delights await.

Valid for both sets of lips, pussy and mouth. I used to have beard all my life, I shaved it off 20 years ago when duck dynasty made it fashionable.
Still have to be careful because half day after shaving I'm already a living sanding machine.
Adapt your diet, you're here for pussy, not for epicurean adventures. Plain rice, and some well cooked meat, and veggies, maybe bread. Forget everything else, you should be fine.
Test driving the girls before taking them in a trip is a must.
