The "chocha economy" is already fucked up and it has nothing to do with the "hip hop type" (interesting euphemism). The girls aren't any worst, they were never that great to begin with but they used to be an exceptional value thus the trade off. As Hoof Hunter pointed out price inflation and service decline is not unique to Sosua and are more a result of a influx of guys who are willing to pay more for less. As mentioned before when the Europa was one of the nicer places in Sosua guys were holed up in sex hotels like Sosua Palace. When those places closed they migrated to the Europa and it became the lovely place it is today. Now its decline and everything else is being blamed on the "hip hop type" by the "I am not entirely comfortable with the increase in black guys" crowd.
And those hip-hop types (as you refer to them) have the strong potentiality of fucking up the chocha economy of Sosua real quick. You better believe it. Quick.
Where did all this racism come from?
We are Americans and we should not be divided like this fighting amongst ourselves.
What are hip hop types? I am curious because in America and in most of the clubs with an young adult crowd hip hop is played and listen to by every skin color.

He's saying punks loud asses who dress and act a way associated with hip hop music and culture (which is to say loutish, uncultured, threatening, noisy, stupid, ignorant, and violent). His point has nothing specifically to do with race.
Just got back last night. I spent a week in Sosua, and Man did I pick the wrong week! IT FUCKIN RAINED just about everyday. I like to hang on the beach during the day before the hunt and you just couldn't. Oh well my bad luck.
I still made the most of it though. I stayed at one of Rocky's Condo's. Not a bad place-a little away from everything (Trade Winds is the condo assoc. Name)Marco, the owner of Rocky's is a great guy. Right from the get go when he picked me up from the airport he was giving me advice and pointing out the dangers and the do's and don't. Not sure if you'll read this but thanks Marcos!
My first night there I met Margelisa, she was just finishing up on the computer at Rocky's as I was there for dinner (good food). Marcos and I were talking as I turned my head to see her walk by. Big tits and a nice tight butt. He called her back and we sat at the bar and knocked a few back and had a few laughs. Marcos told me she was a GFE type and VERY HONEST. I found this to be exactly true. After drinking and dancing all night we motorconched our way to my place and she was a NYMPHO! First I have to say guys, That although I'm only 5'4'' I workout a lot and because of this I got ALOT of attention. I also know that I got better prices because of this.
Next night I met a little chica (can't remember her name) but again a nice time. Third night I met Angelina. A stunning Haitian chica. I think I fell in love with this one. She was sooo exotic looking-you know the Asian like eyes and beautiful pout lips! As hot as she was though she was only so so int the rack. Then came Alexandria, She was a beautiful girl from Puerto Plata. Dressed nicer than most and looked like she was just there to have a drink. Swa her check me out a couple times but that night I thought I'd lay low and re-coup some energy. As me and this Guy I met from NY were leaving Latino's she runs to me and leans against me and puts my arms around her belly-pretty hot. Little bit of an ass (I love the tiny ass')I tell her no thanks then she tells me I'm not one of these girls (punta) I said well if you want to come over for free and prove it no problem. She responded with ok but only if you want to give me a massage. No more. Of course I said yes, She turned out to be an Animal in bed. All night and a few times in the morning. She never asked for money. Saw her agian the next night. Same deal. She told me she thought I was Beautiful and when she saw me rebuff all the girls the night before she had to have me.
Third time I meet her and she kind of thinks she owns me. She had a little attitude, so to show her was boss I bought my first girl a drink (across the bar at Classico's) That was it she was pissed. I didn't feel like dealing with the attitude anymore and left. She walked thru latino's to make eye contact but that was the end.
Had one more girl the rest of the week and then started trying to meet some of the local chica's there. Most won't deal with you because they think you're banging *****s all week. But I met a nice one and will try to keep in touch with her. Alli I all had a great time and look forward to another trip. Sorry so long guys hope I didn't bore you.

How is it here, if you like Haitian girls your in. The two main discos in the center of town fill up at around 11. There are plenty of girls. But if you like Dominican chicks your pickings will be sparce, hard to find a good one. Mostly Hatains. I picked up this pretty dominicana brought her back to my hotel. But like i said if you like Hatians your in. Another word to newbies. There arn`t that many hotels here.Your best bet is to reserve a nite in the Europa, even call on the phone, then when you get here look around. It is very hard to find things here. The beach sucks and the town is uncomfortable, only good if you get a drink at one of the many bars. If you like to drink beer hang around with hatian girls this place is for you. It is cheap, Hatian girls max 1500 many cheaper around 1000.
Another word to newbies. There arn`t that many hotels here.............................The beach sucks and the town is uncomfortable, only good if you get a drink at one of the many bars........
Good point Scruffman about making sure you have a room available. One other thing is if you plan to arrive late it might be wise to pay in advance for your first night's lodging. I have heard of hotels giving rooms to a different guest if the person with a reservation did not arrive early in the day. The last thing you want is to be stuck in Sosua without a room.
The beach is only good for sipping a cold Presidente at one of the stands and searching for a chica or two. During the day if you are not chica chasing there really isn't much to do in Sosua.
Sorry dude, no mean to antagonize, but your point is BS. Hip-hop types aren't what has Sosua in the predicament that it is. If such were the case, Rio de Janeiro, Medellin and Lima Peru are 3 examples of what used-to-be great monger markets that got fucked up other than hip hop types.
Let's change that "hip-hop types" term and replace it with "desperate idiots." I assert that because only a completely desperate idiot would allow an otherwise undereducated (maybe illiterate), and probably more financially-desperate chica out-hustle and out-negotiate him, yet they do it all the time, and tell their friends. And I'm not talking about newbies either. There goes your market right there.
The "hip-hop types" aren't the reason that the Europa or Sosua is what it is. It was the folks before them. Funny enough, the Europa was the better of the mongering lodging options about 3-4 years ago. These hardcore non "hip-hop types" flocked in abundance to such 5 star establishments as The Sosua Palace and the place across the street with the name that I forget now. How soon we forget and cast blame.
Now some of that same non "hip hop type" crowd have inhabited Medellin, and prices are very laughable now. Case in point, imagine a full service massage place go from $30USD to $80USD, and not due to exchange rate. I present you with Loutron in Medellin. "Hip hop types" didn't cause that. Same with Help in Rio. Same with Tequila Rocks in Lima.
Hip hop has nothing to do with it, nor race. It's common sense or lack of usage of common sense by desperate idiots. I rest my case.
If you have a bunch of cats going down there and making it "RAIN" up in Classicos (throwing money up in the air to show their "wealth") dont think for one minute that the chicas down there arent going to gravitate to that element with the quickness and then have very high expectations in terms of what they think they should be getting from all of us--they are very attuned to hip hop culture, its values and philosophies. I understand your point, but understand mine. These guys arent desperate, they want to show off and impress a pack of hoes (music video mentality). And as far as Medellin is concerned, I havent seen an African-American male on my three trips there except for myself and my friend even though I have had a couple of my friends go down there and they are all professionals like myself.

No racism here. Just observations. I am African-American and I love hip-hop culture in its purest form, not what it has become.
I really don't know.

I knew I'd butcher a few of their names.Yeah she is a sweetie.
Guess you had to see what was happening to appreciate. While I think she is beautiful and a nice girl, just thought it was ironic that she had an attitude about me buying a drink for as she said was a Punta.Although she didn't charge me I think she was a chica for hire, she new everyone down there.Hell I was starting to miss the chick after 2 days with her.

I fail to see what the matter with Haitians is. It sounds like you are going downmarket. I speak Spanish fluently and I can get by in basic Krèyol. I had both Dominicanas and Haitian women when I was there last summer. I had good and bad experiences with both kinds, but in the end, Haitians seemed to be more genuine. Perhaps that was a fluke.
I would like to see what your take on this is. Perhaps there is the idea that Dominicanas are more, shall I say, "hygenic". They tend to be more light-skinned, though not always (for me, the darker the skin, the better). In any case, I will be making my way back to Sosúa this summer. I have an open mind. I only care if the girl is nice or not (apart from the looks), not her national origin.
In thinking back about my experiences there, I do think that a kind, generous attitude (kind but not stupid), well-dressed presence, and a knowledge of the local lingos (both Spanish and Krèyol) go an awful long way towards getting your girls but then again, some will say that all you really need is to flash a wad of pesos and you will get as far. I humbly beg to disagree.

Yeah, that "making it rain" shit kills me. I find it just as hilarious in the USA, as I would abroad. Doesn't matter to me one bit. I'm confident that my game will stand up, therefore I could care less what other dudes are doing. I do me.
I don't doubt that this happens in Sosua, but even last night, I didn't see anything like that. Yes, there were guys dressed hip-hop, but their attitudes and demeanors were not any different or more over the top than anyone else. In fact, I can honestly say that the loudest folks I've run into so far here were some European mongers at Passions. Not bad dudes at all, but just a little extra loud in the back with the girls.

And that's my point exactly. No hip hop types there, yet the market rates are surging. You can blame the hip hop types. Look around and you'll see who's doing it. It ain't the Colombians, nor the hip hop types.
