A taxi ride (on the meter) between Suk Soi 11 and Livingstones on Soi 33 costs about 50B in light traffic and takes about 15 minutes, maybe even less. ...
Oh, you guys have fun here, 3 full pages in 24 hours, that's more than in the best Giotto's Lodge in Bangkok times... :) .
Taxi ride (meter) from Suk Soi 11 to Livingstone's in Soi 33 - in light traffic you will not even need 5 min., and pay just 40 baht.
I hope I added some useful information to the forum right now :) !
Gentlemen,
NEP vs Soi Cowboy, of the two areas which has better quality, in terms of looks, brown skin, and thin girls?
Other than taking a Tuk Tuk, what other means of transportation could I take to these locations?
How about the BTS Skytrain? Easiest way to get around BKK.
As far as your question about NEP vs Soi Cowboy, I don't go to either, so can't answer.
If you don't mind dropping a few bucks why don't you try the Pegagus Club?
I think you guys owe me a beer. Lets all meet at NEP and you guys can take turns buying me a beer. Then we can call it even.
Thanks, but no thanks...

Tll
Well, RA. I've had a lot of experience with TLL. While you're right to a point, especially now (TLL has a lot more P4P in disguise), I had many good experiences with women on there, related before in a very lengthy post. I had some quite terrible experiences as well. But, since I met my GF on TLL and she's turned out to be a real gem, from a good family, I would still cautiously recommend the site.
I don't have any experience with TLL; but, go to any internet shop in one of the Farang "tourist" entertainment areas and you will see P4P girls chatting with guys on the internet. Sometimes several at once. After a while the baby needs formula, the mother an operation, or the buffalo is sick and they need money. Not much at first, but once it's sent the hook is set.
Also, according to PurpleHaze having a Thai girlfriend/wife "is nothing to brag about."

And in heavy traffic... 5 hours?
How about from Nana BTS to Phrong Phong (my Thai spelling sucks)? Five minutes and 20 Baht regardless of the traffic.

Clarification
Purple,
I think the reason you ruffled so many feathers is really very simple. You asked some questions, and got polite answers. In return, you posted arrogant comments and insulted everyone who offered help by calling their contributions crap. Call me crazy, but don't you think that's being an ass? My comments below ..
I have been here less than 24 hrs. and my dick is raw already. I had three different ladies, young (19-20) tiny one LT from Rainbow 4, older (29) super tiny ST Morning/Night Bar, and a older (35) skinny soapy massage with FS, some hidden place that my tuk-tuk driver took me.
I paid a tuk-tuk 50B and he took me around for about three hours and showed me all I needed to know about BKK.
You missed the point on responses to this one. The 50B ride was not the main issue. The hidden place, where the tuk-tuk driver took you, paid the driver 500 baht for bringing you there, which came out of your pocket as part of the price of the Soapy. You were scammed. There are better Soapy's for the same price you paid. The only reason others laughed, was because the comments you made, regarding crap information and how the driver showed you "all you needed to know about BKK". Yeah, in a way I guess he did.
A lot of the mongers I have seen here are some pathetic looking blokes. Some are down right goofy and dirty looking. One guy I saw today was a dollar short of mongoloid looking. What's up with so many guys with yellow crooked teeth??? Not complaining because that makes it soo much easier for me to get the fine little brown fucking machines.
Let's see .. make fun of people, use of derogatory & racist comments, topped off with a heavy dose of arrogance. The comments paint a better picture of you, than the scene you described.
Being my first time here in BKK I will say some of your guys advice about this and that is really overrated. I think many of you exagerate the realities in order to justify your existance on this forum. A lot of crap is put out on ISG and I think in comes from those who just don't know how to assimilate in foriegn country.
Later.
Let's see. First time in BKK, 24 hours, newbie mistakes, and you are an expert on assimilation. Sorry ... arrogant. Justify our existence? Hardly, but again, just an arrogant comment. Crap on the ISG? Why then are you here asking questions?
Not one useful bit of information in your post, rife with insults, and just not a very flattering picture of who you are. Sorry man, but you went from bad to worse with all of your follow up posts. Insults, name calling, and more insults.
I'm not sure what your problem is, but you are going in the wrong direction. I hope you read what you wrote again, objectively. I hope you read your follow ups again, objectively. Ask yourself how it looks, if someone else wrote what you wrote.
Peace,
AT2

Absolutely. If you are Soi 11 and there is light traffic (meaning you get lucky enough to get a green light at Asoke), then 5 minutes and the meter will show 35 thb.

Does your prong pong?
...
Nana BTS to Phrong Phong (my Thai spelling sucks)? ...
You cracked me up LOL :D
Its really very inconsiderate when naming BTS stations not to choose something that Farangs can pronounce readily, especially in very touristy districts.
There is no spelling in English that adequately conveys the correct pronunciation unfortunately.
Normally spelled: Phrom Phong but could easily be Phraawm Phong or Prawm Pong. First syllable long and 2nd one short.
พร้อม พงษ์ I think.

Internet Dating

I'll do this again, albeit briefly.
I met about 65 or so women on TLL over 3 years. Of those 2 admitted being P4P, upfront. Another 10 were in that gray area: no money upfront, but little requests later on, as we got to know each other better. So that's 12 that I'm pretty sure would fall into P4P in one way or another. There were probably another 2 or 3 of the 38 I shagged, that might be suspect, as well. So, that's a total of say 15 that were probably P4P. That leaves 23, including my current GF who were in no way that I could discern even remotely P4P. There were never requests for money. They were just regular dating situations, as far as I was concerned.
I'm sorry RA, but it's a new day. Thai girls of all stripes are all over the Internet. Your old belief that, the only way to meet a good Thai girl is by being introduced by a Thai is just so out of date. Sure, there are lots of P4P girl in Internet cafes chatting with Farang. But, there also lots of Thai girls in general chatting online every single minute of the day, just as there are girls everywhere else doing the same. I see my HiSo students on Hi5, Hot or Not, TLL, Facebook, MSN Personals...you name it.
The Internet is the new dating scene.

You're probably correct, I'm just not in the dating scene anymore and a little out of touch. But, I would still be wary of any girl I met on the internet. As I said before my wife owned an internet shop close to Soi 7 and translating chat and email was a big part of her business. Most of her customers were Bier Garten girls and you would not believe some of the scams they were running. Some of these girls were pulling in over 100K a month from their "boyfriends" living in foreign countries.

Moe Chit and On Nut are appropriately named. Because when I go to Mo Chit I buy more shit at Chat-a-Chuck (again my spelling). And since the "nuts" are found along Sukhumvit I head to On Nut when I want to go anywhere on Suk. My way of navigating in BKK

Well, that was happening back when the Internet was a mere shadow of what it is now. Remember the weekly warnings of Bernard Trink on the subject? I remember a girl from Long Gun back in '97 that I took out quite a few times to the point that she just used to come around mine and hang out. One Sunday, she got a call on MY LAND LINE from some loser in Oz who was sending her 60,000/month - a lot of dosh back then. She had several guys on line doing the same. Her bank balance was quite healthy. She once showed me her bank book and she had a balance of 1 million and a half.
The story's the same. The Internet has just made it easier.
