Sosua Reports

So again, a disillusioned individual thinking like this would be a perfect candidate to send that DC young lady some money. If you have a problem with the amount or whether you haven't done something with her already, then just keep sending her 200 pesos at a clip until you get to the quality of service you think she'll provide when she finally meets her benefactor.

Saturday I was feeling more energetic so I decided to take the advice of a board member and do something productive. I would go to the gym. I visited two gyms but they were both closed since it's Saturday. Instead I went to Castillo Mundo King, which was good for killing an hour.

I wasn't feeling energetic at night, but it's Saturday, so I had to go out. While eating dinner I'll often notice a few really attractive chicas rushing somewhere, but I never see them later. I wonder where they're going?

Rumba seems to be the only game in town, so I went in around 9. I wasn't desperate to pull somebody, and kind of wanted to drink alone. But Haitians would randomly come up to me. I don't know how to politely tell them to go away, so I end up pissing them off. I'm probably on some Haitian blacklist now.

Classico's opened at 11 but they wanted 400, so I wandered around for a while instead. I considered going to bed around midnight, but it's Saturday night in the Dominican Republic, so I went in Rumba for one more Presidente. I spotted a petite busty chica I sort of liked sitting with her two amigas. I sort of made eye contact with her, but she seemed nervous.

Then another Haitian came over asking for money for her house. She was very pretty, but I hate being hassled so I had to get away from her. I went over to nervous girl and said hola. She's probably only a 7 or 8, but I liked her look, sort of classically Spanish, with her long hair pulled back. She spoke no English.

I got a weird nervous vibe from her and considered just going home. But I made a little effort to talk to her and pushed my minimal Spanish to the limit, asking her where she's from (Santa Domingo) where she's staying (no idea), does she like Sosua (no! How long has she been here (a couple months), how old (25), does she have a bambino (no). Her amiga said she would give me a "sucky sucky fucky fucky grande fiesta," so I took her home.

Chatting with her with the help of Google translate put her at ease. She was passionate and horny, kissing and even getting on top and banging the heck out of me. When we were done at 2 she wanted to rush to the disco to see her amigas. She was afraid of policia, so I walked her there then went home to bed.

Despite her average looks, the service was great, so I'll likely stick with her for my remaining three nights (I told her I'm here for a month). I got her number. She said if she saw me with another chica, she would cut my head off.

Haitians are usually a lot less aggressive as they don't want to risk drawing the attention of the authorities. I have never been hassled by Haitians in Sosua (or anywhere) and I don't remember reading about it here. Being hassled by Dominicans is standard, of course, and turns a lot of people off Sosua. I have had emails from two different acquaintances saying as much in the last two days.

Did they look like the Haitians Mr Gogo posted in post 2703 in his forum?

If they did, they are probably Dominican.[/QUOTE]During my last three trips covering approximately 50 days in the last 7 months I have found the Haitians to be more aggressive than than the Dominicans, however they have never hassled me. However I have encountered Dominicans that have hassled me. I agree that the Haitians want to maintain a low profile and have typically been polite when turned away whereas the Dominicans can be nasty.

It is refreshing to get an updated on the ground report. I appreciate your efforts and these kind of reports are my favourite. So, is Classico the only happening spot? What about Rumba, or some of the smaller bars? How are the streets during the day?

All my trips are at least 7 days this one 10 and since I've been coming this is the slowest Rumba today 7-20 was dead not even half full. Classico is good but it seems that the actions starts later and later Rumba uses to get going at about at about 1700 not anymore. There are more smaller bars theirs a new one next to Casa Cayena, 3-4 waitresses one is a 5-6 depending on your standards, and all bars have about two guys talking to 3 disinterested waitresses. Empty if you like something above a 4. With all that said I've got 7 more day and things chance day to day the best day was Thursday and I'm still having a great time.

I spent a fair bit of time telling him how good it used to be, in the "old days".

I might as well have saved my time. He had the time of his life with new chicas available every day (the kind he liked).

I stayed at CC last weekend and hung out a bit at that bar.

Great vibe and super friendly staff/ owners.

I highly recommend it if you just want a chill place without the "punanny stock exchange" vibe of Rumba.

I'll be heading back to paradise in a couple of weeks. My new routine a couple of days alone in Sosua, then the GF comes up to join me for the rest of the trip.

We've been all around the Island together, but I'm always drawn to Sosua. If she wants me, she'll have to make the trip.
