I would add that for any guy who has had a fungal infection, prevention is better than cure. That is why I say, don't use a cake of soap in the crotch area. Yeast likes Alkaline. Use a neutral shower gel, or better still maybe once per day one of the special crotch wash products that are slightly acidic. I use that in a very small bottle. I believe yeast cannot grow in slightly acid medium.

Also keep your crotch dry. If damp from sweat, change undies. Wash often. Once per day is not enough in Thailand sticky weather. Underwear should not be made of synthetic substances. Cotton is fine (or no underwear if you are a Scott).
