But the way it works is that you have to take a paid receipt back to the bar to get reimbursed $5, and since the rate is $5 per 12 hours you have to do it twice if you stay a full day. I didn't wait around to do it, but I figured that it would be like the free drink: "check the computer, photocopy your I'd, and make you wait 5 minutes to sign the slip". I could be wrong about that last part.

I did have a couple that looked at me funny when the hotel dude told her 45 minutes, but I told them they would get a tip if they were good during that time, so no issues after that.

Also, for an hour, which is $25, you get an hour and a half; love that part. I have not use the coming into cab fare, but HK has a new van and driver, and the dude is quite nice. Last night he took me to the Hotel Ticuan and I tipped him 30 pesos, god knows I could not have walked / stumbled that far.

I have asked you this question before but I was curious to know what other guys with less clout go through. I just don't know if the VIP is worth it for me. It seems like you are on your own when it comes to chicas and service. I like when brothels expect a certain level of service from their employees. Unfortunately HK doesn't run it's operation like that.

They do the whole check your I'd / paperwork bs, but like I wrote before, just have your waiter take care of it for you and use the same waiter for every VIP card claim. Once they know you're legit, they don't check the computer and this expedites the process. Since they are doing it while I'm at the table having a drink, I don't mind it the couple minute wait. The only exception is when I leave immeditely after going upstairs; then that wait is annoying.

I posted here a while back asking for advice on my first trip to Tijuana. I have been on here reading everyday just to be as informed as possible for when I make it there next month. I'll be in San Diego for 5 days. My initial plan was to go once and just enjoy the rest of my days in San Diego. I will be out there from a Friday night until the following Tuesday. It seems the place to be is HK, however, after all the reading, I am thinking of making more than just one visit during my SD stay! Questions is, although I'll have a room in SD, I think it will be a pain crossing back and forth everyday. Is there a certain hotel I can stay in in Tijuana near the action you guys recommend? I'd like to be out there one night while things get good and don't want to cross back drunk / late at night. So I'm thinking staying at a hotel there a night or 2.

1. What are the rates for overnight rooms?

2. What hotel is recommended?

3. When I wake up in the AM, what is there to do? I'd also like to see some touristy things but don't want to get pick pocketed! Are other nearby general areas safe to just walk around?

4, I've gotten a good feel on restaurants just from reading on here, but any one that is a for sure must? Sea food is a plus!

5. Other bars / clubs. I hear mention of many being out there, but apart from what seem to be the 3 BIG ones (AB, HK, CC) are there any other worth checking out? Or would those be a waste of time?

6. What is the easiest way to get a girl to leave you alone? LOL. I know that's the opposite of what I'm going for, but in general I want to wait out the perfect one! You should stay a couple of nights in Tijuana. It's relatively easy to cross over on foot every night, (make sure to bring your passport) , but if this is your first time you might as well enjoy the full experience and consider staying at least one night in Tijuana.

Questions 1 and 2; you can get a room in the hotel associated with Hong Kong, Hotel Cascadas. While it's primarily a short-time hotel for mongering, it's just fine for a night or two. (Check out the Hong Kong website for a link to the hotel). If you want a nicer place to stay, just a short cab ride from the Zona, check out the website for Ticuan, nicer place and away from the noise in the zona.

3. Depends, some people like to stay drunk all day, some people like to walk around, if you like the beach you can get a cab to take you to Rosarito Beach.

4. If you have already read the restaurant reviews on here then your good. You can always get some tacos from a street cart too.

5. The big three HK, AB, CC are all close by, several others are sketchy ones, but some people are into that. The main centralized action is on Calle Coahuila, but if you want to check out others spots, the cab drivers get a kickback for taking you to other spots like Purple Rain. (but you can pass on that one).

6. Seriously? Just say 'no gracias', and repeat several time until she thinks you're a robot, and if that fails just rip a fart, that'll clear her away.

7. Lots of people say it's better to just go upstairs if you want a girl, the 'dances' are a nice sampler, but really, if you want to spend as much on dances as you would actually having sex, then that's your own business.

8. If you are worried about losing your smartphone, then just get a disposable camera from a store before you cross the border. Lots of people take their phones without worry, but it really is up to your own comfort level.

I stayed at the Cascadas and it was very convenient, but I stuck with street girls and HK bar girls. That made it cheap and easy to take a girl up to my room, but had I wanted to take up an AB or CC girl I would have had to pay for a short time room. Of course, if you stay at the Ticuan (which lots of guys recommend) , you'll have to do that anyway. I got a basic room for $32 on Thursday and $40 on Friday (with the VIP card). It felt safe to me. Keg gave you some good advice. Personally, I stayed up until 3am, slept until noon. Then I got some alley pussy, then took a nap, then went back to HK. I didn't worry about finding anything to do during the day.

I poked my head into a few, and they all looked to be a waste of time. If you just want to pick a girl and go to a room, you might want to check them out, but none of them seemed like places I'd want to hang out. I wouldn't feel comfortable being one of three guys (and the only gringo) in a bar filled with 20 women, all of whom want you to choose them. Keg's "No gracias" is perfectly fine. If you prefer to let them down easier, you can say "Mas tarde, por favor" ("later, please") or "otra vez" ("another time"). But "No, gracias" is more direct and they get it.

The dance I got was a waste. I only did it because I really liked the girl I was with, but didn't want to take her upstairs. I thought an $11 dance (half price because of the VIP) would be a good way to see what she was like without committing to a $60 arriba. It was an average dance much like you'd get in many clubs in the states. I'm sure it varies from girl to girl. But as you note, the cost of three dances (15 minutes in a closet-sized room) is what you would pay to go upstairs for 30 minutes in your bed.

The only pictures any girl allowed me to take were the official pictures by the HK club photographer, and they were $5 per print. Every other time I asked I was firmly and clearly told "no way". For an hour, use pesos and don't go over 1, 000. That's plenty for an hour. $110 is crazy money, despite what you may read elsewhere.
