i have been reading the forum for some time and it has been of great help in many places i have visited. however my experiences have never been anything i deemed worth to report as they would have been just a repeat from previous posters experiences.

however this time i think i have found a gem (at least for me). i visited mosocow hotel on christmas eve, not many girls and just a few ones that i feel atracted (some of them were plain ugly), not so good male to female ration and horrible band.
there i met a 30 years old girl, a former music teacher, half ukranian, half russian, that agreed to spend the night for 1000 dirhams.

The Pilipinas never arrive at the Seaview until after 11pm. They can, however, be found at the Rock City - Highland Hotel before this time.

There are often 3 or 4 get into the Imperial now as well.

Avoid York, is doesnt appear to beimproving.

Last night a few pals, Wildcat and I went to Troika Restaurant/club in Ascot Hotel, Bank Street, Bur Dubai. If you want to impress a CIS babe, this authentic Russian restaurant is a great place to go. For 175 DH, all you can eat Russian Buffet, and all you can drink included (spirits, wines etc). I enjoyed the free-flowing double Jacks while the others enjoyed pepper or currant vodka. They have good-value a la carte some evenings also. (30 to 60 DH for authentic Russkie dishes).

Buffet opens at 9pm (fantastic food), the musicians start at 10pm (laid-back background music), and the floor-show starts at 1030pm (Russian dancing/singing).

The Russian waitresses are dressed in traditional national dress, and were almost forcing us to keep ordering the "free" alcohol. Bad girls! (I don't remember much after 1am, except for some wild dancing and more drinking). :)

Diners included many Russians, and some guys of various nationalities with their tasty Russian courtesans. There were also some gorgeous Russian girls dining together at a few of the tables without men. Damn damn damn! they were nice!

I'd had too many double JD's over the night, and after a bit of dancing, we headed out at 1:30am. Next thing, I realized we were in Rattlesnake with Wildcat at 2am! I blame my Russian pal, but he assured me today all was fine during our brief stay. Luckily it was a quiet night there, with almost no working girls in sight. Could've been big trouble, as I've been in bed with many of them at one time or another. A quick drink there, and home we went.

Troika is a classy place, but I'm certain that some of the single girls were there for more than the food and drink and dancing.

A local pay as you go SIM card is easy to obtain, go into any Etisalat office (there is one in the Al Ain centre opposite computer plaza in Bur Dubai). Not cheap but cheaper than your UK card plus the girls will be happy to give ‘missed’ calls and sms on a local number, as for calling PRC it will eat up your credit!
You will need your passport and 170dhms (I think) which includes 30dhms of calls.

If you are not going to be coming to dxb on a regular basis, you might want to try the "Ahlan" service from Eti$alat.

Again, passport required, 90 Dhs and valid for three months.

got a call from a girl i met in cyclone in novemeber. been busted 3 weeks in jail , and sent back to chechneya. outside cyclone just walking had visa and the lot . le the motherfuckers!!

how dubai has changed in 3/4 years. it used to be the best. some of the new guys in dxb, wont beleive that you used to be able to get russian stunners in the astoria (back in the day) for 150 - 250 dhs. & there was zero attitude. does any1 remember them days ? back me up.

I agree things have changed. I still posit that DXB can offer exceptional experiences compared to the rest of the world. Really quite astonishing when you consider the context.

I will be in DXB from 31st for a few days. Quite new in this forum, but already curious 'bout different places apart from just the triangle. From what I read here - maybe Premiere, Xanadu, Amnesia or some upscale thing like Buddha (which one has the hottest CIS stunners or the occasional pretty non-WG?) Too optimistic about chances or door policies? Thought the hotties all wait for a broke boring guy to fly in for a few days just to harrass them. So it will be WOS back to regal or york? Anyway, anyone might want to witness or join the disaster? And does anyone have a good suggestion for NYE? Would be grateful for PM. 50 knows me and might join as well, haven't asked him yet.

In order to save 500 dhs, flew Gulf Air. [b]In theory[/b], an extra 90 minutes each way on overnight flights. No big deal, and, for me anyway, 500 dhs is not chump change. After all, it does buy a night of [i]fun[/i] with an attractive lady...

On the other hand, it's just a night of fun with a wg, no big deal. How Gulf Air stays in business is beyond me. How can a 50 minute flight be delayed over an hour?[list][*]The obvious "hold the plane for passengers on late arriving connecting flights". (And their luggage). But when your schedules/connections are unrealistic to begin with... You will ALWAYS be late.

[*]Gulf Air's computer system must be a disaster. A number of doubly assigned seats. And, rather than the ground staff doing THEIR job to sort things out BEFORE bording the flight, they had obviously "not my job'ed" the problem and just passed it off to the cabin crew, letting everyone board. Literally milling passengers in the aisle...

Idiot passengers didn't help. It'a a 50 minute flight, Bahrain - Dubai, for Christ's sake. Not a big deal you can't sit with your boss, spouse, friend, whatever. Take the empty single seat and let's get going. But noooooo... like that old kid's puzzle, you know, 16 squares, 15 tiles, put the tiles in numeric order... Any number of reshufflings required.

Idiot passengers (2) : keep asking when we'll leave. Hey, it's NOT a bus - you don't take off with people standing in the aisle... well, maybe in YOUR country, but not here. Standing up to complain about the problem does NOT help, and just obscures any vacant seat...

Finally, over an hour late, past the time we were due to land in dxb, plane departs. Arriving dxb, given Gulf Air's [i]prominence[/i] (not), it's a bussed gate. Fine. But how difficult is it to let the airport know your ACTUAL arrival time so that the busses can be waiting at the parking area? 10 minutes after coming to a stop, door is finally opened. (An [i]influential[/i] airline would have the [i]wasta[/i], for an UNUSUAL late arrival, to have these things in place. But when it's a daily occurence...)

We must have parked at the end of the runway... it's another 10 minutes bus ride to the terminal. Now 2am, a BAD time to be arriving given a lot of overseas flights arrive early morning. Immigation area HEAVING with people, a majority who don't seem to understand the concept of personal space... But I luck out, and get moved to a [i]GCC[/i] queue. Nice thing about dxb, they are efficient, and know how to make use of their facilities.

HINT: take the queue to the right in the immigation area - often, you are moved to the GCC "no customers" queues.

Past immigation... and an hour's wait for the baggage. Again, Gulf Air must have waited until EVERY bag was unloaded BEFORE trundling them off to baggage claim, and, for sure, no baggage train WAITING for the plane. So bad that the flight info disappeared from the baggage belt sign BEFORE a single piece of baggage had been delivered from the flight.

So, instead of being home by 2am, enough time, if I wanted to make some phone [i]inquiries[/i] as to who was still at the bars looking for a customer, it was 3:30 before I got home.

With the previous Miss T (deported), would not have been a problem. Would have left her a set a keys to my place, and I would have returned to a spotless house, a muli-dish meal: "Are we expecting other guests?" - "No, didn't know how hungry you'd be, or what you'd want to eat, so wanted to give you choices.", a great massage, and some [i]relaxing[/i] ministrations...

As it was, came home to the house disaster I left (nothing like leaving QUICKLY after work) ; no elves to magically clean. Thought about calling the current Miss T, but not quite ready to start that up again, and while she can throw a mean dinner party, cooking is the exception rather than the rule.

Would just wait till Thursday evening to go out, taking my own advice:[list][*]Book AWAY from Gulf Air.

Figured I'd missed the 1st half, due to the late arrival, but it was a west coast game, so did not start until 5am. That's the good news. Bad news: I knew I couldn't stay awake for it. Solution? One of the greatest inventions ever: the DVR. Programmed the unit, 6 hours later, was watching the game after a relaxing sleep. Fast foward the commercials, replay the close calls...

Forget your vcr - it's a dinosaur. If you don't own one, don't hesitate - get a DVR NOW (besides, it's DSF).

As such, Thursday night, headed out to Seaview. Plenty of space in the parking lot... (those in the know are LOL about now). About wrenched my arm out of the socket when I grabbed the door, gave it a tug, and... NOTHING. LOCKED. Asked security: seems last night was a religious holiday - all bars closed. Now THAT info would have been useful BEFORE venturing out.

11b - i agree about gulf air. last time i was travelling back from bahrain, they told me the flight was delayed an hour, so i went to the business lounge. 30 minutes later i went back to the boarding gate, but they'd closed it and wouldn't let me board as the plane was now full!
