And if you are budget minded, stay there, if you like privacy, stay there. The rooms vary in quality but all are clean. No problems bringing women to your room. It is located behind the Popular Bank, take the side street to the left of the Bank. One of my favorite places to stay. Private is the word.
Thanks for reply? How is Air condition? Bed? Strip Observations
Last night I hung out on the Strip from about 10 PM to midnight to check things out. Noticed lots of Haitians hanging in and around Bar Central where they typically congregate. The police where patrolling the streets and whenever they passed in front of Bar Central the police would tell the Haitians to go inside the bar. I never saw the police telling any Dominicans in front of Rumbas or Bar Central to go inside if they where hanging out in front. The line to get into Classicos started around 10 PM and I checked out the Chicas as they entered the place. Lot's of fat and ugly girls with big booty's entering the place. The few pretty ones that a friiend of mine and I talked to who where entering Classicos seemed to have a bit of an attitude. I classify these girls as the "sport fucker" selections as I'm sure they would be asking for, or at least trying to get as much money as they could from the newbies and others.
Did you ever feel unsafe walking to and from Perla De Sosua late at night? From what I recall it is dark as shit back there. And no sign of security or law enforcement. It would be easier to get robbed down that dark street, if a robber with bad intentions chose to follow somebody.
Not an expert on that particular lane, though I know it.
In my more active days a few years back I used to walk about the poorest barrios of Puerto Plata and in the Haitian batey of Muoz, often in pitch black during power outages. Both areas contain a lot more desperate people than the El Batey part of Sosua.
But I wouldn't make the walk you speak of. What is the difference? The difference is that Sosua attracts criminals who are deliberately looking for easy and (to them) affluent gringo targets, probably with a moto handy to make a quick getaway.
In the other areas I described the locals would assume (wrongly, as it happens) that I knew what I was doing, was maybe armed, or was under the protection of local friends, or was a broke-ass bum with no more money than them (which would be nearer the truth than the previous assumption).
Of course neither action is very bright and I would not do these things these days when there is more drug-related crime in the DR.

While nothing ever happened, I did feel a bit nervous walking down there late at night. Overall the location is great, no street noise but just a couple of minutes walk to everything.

I see a lot of Haitian chicas in there that I'd like to taste but I always feel like non-Germans aren't exactly invited to hangout and pick-up "their" girls. I could be way off but that is the vibe I sense when I walk by there.
My first night in Classicos was about a month ago and it was amazing how at 11:30 pm the girls entering were pretty hot but at 1:00 am the models all started to enter the place. It seemed like the longer you wait the hotter the chicas get but maybe they are the ones who roll their eyes at you if you offer anything less than 2500 p ST?

It was dark as hell, and I noticed some dude following me. Now there is nothing (that I could notice) down there except gated residences so if you are not going to visit one of these places then you do not belong here. I didn't belong there and neither did the other guy. The guy was still a bit behind me when I noticed a dog barking in one of the houses. The owner came out to check out the dog and I started chatting with him. When the guy walking behind me noticed that, he turned back and disappeared. It's easy to make a wrong turn (the way I did) in that area and things can go bad real quick because like you said, it is dark as shit. Back on Alejo Martinez I noticed the security guard at one of the shops there holding a chrome sawed off shotgun. I don't think he would have gotten involved if I would have gotten in trouble. Be careful down there.

Never experienced or witnessed any coolness to non-Germans. Only problem was occasionally we would get talking and they would try to involve me in their buying rounds when I had neither the finances nor the metabolism to keep up. Had many a good chat with them, swapping notes on various haitianas. Plus another problem from which you would not suffer, derision of my national soccer team. Half of yours are Germans, anyway!

Haitians and Germans

?
You may be confused with the guys eating at the German place next door, and I have never got the impression Bar Central was a "German Bar". In fact I noticed a lot of French Canadians in there during the Winter when I was here. Some of the Canadians where going with two Haitians at a time, and I know why!

Indeed a French guy was trying to teach the waitress some French (deux cents) who was trying her English on him. I later sat at the tables on the road (a remarkable change seeing men and women sitting at the tables along the main strip) that were serviced by that bar, chatting with an Italian, chugging down beer.
BTW, the white stock in the US is primarily of four nationalities: Germans, the Dutch, Brits, Irish included? And Italians just to state that 50% are Germans would be a little too many. LOL.

In my few visits to Sosua I haven't seen even once a Haitian female with a non-German male. They don't even look at the black USA Guys.
I figured it was some unwritten rule like in baseball, LOL.
Look harder. Many haitianas with Italians, French, Brits, other Europeans (though rarely East Europeans) and Canadians, especially French Canadians. .
I have found that most black Americans are looking for paler skinned women. And they are suckers for died blonde hair (which doesn't look good on haitianas). So maybe haitianas have found that is not a good sector to target. But there are many exceptions. Most of the black guys in my circle enjoy haitianas as much as I do (or we wouldn't hang together).
Most haitianas cannot afford to be picky.

All the times Me and other guys got hit on by Haitianas as I / we were passing Bar Central, sitting at Rockys Restaurant, or hanging in front of dee Latins, they must of thought I / we were German? Maybe they thought I / we were Black Germans instead of USA black guys? That would explain how we had so much Haitiana juice over the years.

Good to see you correctly including the Irish among the Brits, though, as they come from the British Isles.
Not sure the Dutch contribute much of a percentage though, compared with Russians and Poles. Though I imagine when in the States your social circle is confined to the Van Rensselaers, Schuylers, Stuyvesants, Van Horns, Gouverneurs, Rockefellers, etc, so you might get that impression. "Dutch" in many other contexts, like "Pennsylvania Dutch" really means "German (Deutsche)".
