Thanks Amadeuss and Expat American, I understand your view points, and I too am with you on the North Jak places being the best. My iteniary will also mostly cycle through Classic, Travel and KI and maybe a dash of Malio or Empo if I feel like it.

But it gets a little boring to have the same type of routine everyday, I don't plan to travel too far from North Jak also, but will be looking up whatever is close enough to explore.

I read few reports on Orchardz spa having a similar hot / cold pool and sauna as Empo in slightly lesser price for more time, so I may check it out and same goes for Sun city, maybe try cherry I guess in Loksari, since I am staying close by I may just step in and out if nothing is worth the time there. I don't mind going to 3-4 more places in a span of 12-13 days to mix it up a bit just for 1 day for short time and then come back to the default place slightly later.

Very pleasant weather. During the day it was in the mid 80's fahrenheit. Humidity not too bad. I wore t-shirt and shorts day and night. There was some rain but like most of SEA, it rains for a short period of time and stops.

Definitely try the dim sum restaurant. I ate there twice and took some back to my hotel. Har gow, siu mai, char siu bao and a Coke cost me, I think, US $4.00.

One thing I have noticed about Jakarta is its diversity, Javanese, Sundanese, Chinese, Christians, Balinese, Malays, and even a few girls who resemble Koreans, Japanese, even Latinos. With such variety, you can always find someone new who matches your vibe and mood that day and never be bored. Having said, if you find a few places you really like and know well, it is often better to stick to them than constantly searching for something to prove otherwise. I've also read a few posts on this forum comparing Jakarta to Pattaya. Frankly, comparing the two seems unfair to Pattaya. You're not limited to nightclubs or go-go bars in Pattaya; you can meet many friendly freelancers online, on the beach, or elsewhere. You can also easily get the LINE number of a girl you like at a gogo bar and meet her after her shift without paying commission to middlemen.

Another downside of Jakarta is how scattered everything is. You can travel about 25 km with Gojek or InDriver for 50,000-60,000 IDR, but traffic is terrible; it usually takes 50 minutes to an hour to travel that distance.

I'll be staying here for another 12 nights. I'm open to suggestions and will continue to share my experiences.

Don't baseline your overall experience on one isolated incident, it is generally not like that, I have never been hustled for change in Classic, Mamas can be pushy and I am hearing this 40 mins stuff as a new thing across few posts now, you insist for 1 hour with a girl. That being said not all experiences were through the roof either the proposition is best cost/ time wise but everything depends on the girl and your in room experience and that can vary greatly between girls. 3 some wouldn't be so bad for 1 hour 500 k, I personally never opted for it mainly because 3 some isn't always the heavenly experience that it is advertised as, it can often complicate things in the room especially with language barrier (they can communicate with each other but you can't), they can easily tag team and waste your time without you getting much from it, they can become shy of each other and that may prevent them from doing certain things, if you don't enjoy the vibe and your johnny doesn't get in the mood you might find the embarassment doubled, they will not do anything with eachother so you will be forced to taking turns and 1 hour isn't enough for such an ordeal, you may have to push the agenda if both of them are non responsive it is easier to ditch 1 girl and call out the non performance but it gets complicated with 2 of them together. I would say push for the 1 hour after couple of visits the mamas will also soften (if you use the same one).

I hear you and most of my exploration ventures have also been a bust in Jak, Blok M was just dry and the travelling time / traffic to South Jak was awful, I will keep this in mind. I do not committ to a place until I see all relevant signals as green and try not to travel too far out (last one was my first visit there so I did it anyways but lesson learnt. Jakarta isn't the place to travel long distances unnecessarily). I also stepped out of the be Fashion club as soon as I heard their proposition without spending a single penny, but at the same time Maxwell turned out alright and rooms were really spacious and good, bathroom had bathtub etc, too bad girls weren't as attractive but pros and cons.

I didn't go to Fortune (mentioned that by mistake, but I know it is a place, have read some reviews here, you can search it in the forum), I did not stay at Blok M and B Fashion girls are pretty but rates are too high and they ask for 1.5m without promise of FS (which I found very weird).

Good day fellow mongers, I have been out of the p4 p scene for a few years, I used to be a somewhat an active member here years ago (lost access to the old account), I mainly frequented west Africa and Thailand, never been in Indonesia before.

I have an upcoming 7-hour layover in Jakarta around noon followed by another 12 hours in Balikpapan.

Any tips for and guaranteed action near the airport and in Balikpapan during this short window. I am a seaman and this trip will be every 3 months and other stoos and my home country are mongering wastelands.

It is just as easy to get a girl's WhatsApp in Jakarta as it is to get a LINE contact in Pattaya. If interested PM me, I can share a tried-and-tested method for doing this.

Any deviation carries a potential severe time cost penalty. Enjoy Jakarta, AR.

Don't talk, but make a hand gesture (politely) pointing at the cash showing her you want your full cash back.

She will pretend she doesn't have the change, but as you stay in front of her and the next customer cannot get in front, she will eventually pretend to search in her own bag or ask a colleague to give her the cash, but you'll get your cash back with 100% certainty.

I've done it a dozen times and always had my change back. Then, after a few other attempts they will remember you and not going to try it anymore knowing you're going to be firm.
