"uh, uh", is pretty common American Midwest English. Even for the white folk, whether they live in a ghetto or not. I regret the day I used the urbandictionary to clarify a point which you were misunderstanding. :-)
T any impoverished or down on her luck Filipina/family who nets (marries) a foreigner is lucky is as all hell. I think someone on ISG said it is the equivalent of winning the lottery for them.
Now if that guy is young 20-30s and has “old man money”.... simply extraordinary. This why I won’t get married. I know on this side of the world I am the catch. Not the women. Lucky me my ole lady lived aboard most her life so no relatives asking for money and even if they did I would just say uh uh.

That’s Ghetto English for no.
Enjoy your new life brother.
This is sad, so why am I laughin' my ass off?
I'd think if the rich foreigner didn't support the impoverished Filipina's family after marrying her his life wouldn't be much fun. I'm sure that the family would put pressure on the wife and make her feel guilty for turning her back on them to go live in "luxury" with her cash cow. After all, we're talking about the people who shared their rice with her until she grew big enough to use her pussy to catch a foreigner. From the family's point of view they made an investment in getting her grown to the point where she's nice and fuckable. When a foreigner marries their daughter, takes her away and refuses to send money they must feel like he stole the family pig they were fattening for years.
As far as they're concerned sending her to a bar would be a much better deal than letting her marry a foreigner who is not going to financially support them. Eventually, the family will convince her to take the foreigner to the cleaners as soon as she gets her green card. And who can blame her when poor papa and mama are still living in a shack? This girl could have remained with her family selling her good stuff in a bar to help her family. Why should she let some foreigner root her for free while her family lives in a shit-hole?

Family pig?? Sounds like you really respect the women.
Yes, I do and pigs are considered to have high value in Pacific Island cultures. If they sacrifice the pig for a feast to celebrate your visit it is considered a great honor. I don't know where you're from but you don't seem to hold pigs in high regard. Let's chalk this one down to cultural differences.

Agree.
Although I think CM's post was partly sarcasm, it does hit on some unfortunate truths.
Beside the point, but I just finished reading "When Broken Glass Floats". The Cambodian author reminisces about her childhood during the Khmer Rouge atrocities. Read it and you can feel how valuable a pig can be.
This is sad, so why am I laughin' my ass off?
It's okay X Man, I laughed too until I realized how sad it was for the family to see years of farm or factory work walk away. Anyway, no one roots for free and these guys always end up paying more that if they had given papa a small pension for all the hard work he put in to raise a daughter in a poverty stricken country. Remember these girls have IMBRA and other laws on their side. Sooner or later they'll take the cheap ass foreigner to the cleaners once they pop out a few babies to give them good leverage.
And trust me when the troubles start you'll want papa in your corner.
Yes, I do and pigs are considered to have high value in Pacific Island cultures.
Yeah, but I'll bet they are not so high valued in Mexico any more. Them fucking pigs have a lot to answer for:).

Although I agree the forum is for the exchange of information between Men on the subject of finding Women for Sex, this sub forum is called Filipinas - Opinions and Advice.
Except for the recent very short conversation about pigs, there has been a significant amount of heated discussion with varied opinions and advice.
For instance Tungsten's report about the family dipping their hands into his pockets was interesting and very valid. It is advice we should all take before plunging into a relationship with Filipinas.
Similarly our heated debates about
1. virgins and revirgination
2. filipinas who were virgins and then were devirginated (unfortunately for him, not by original suitor - Nightrider)
3. age differences between couples, especially in the 3rd world developing countries and the World's only 4th world country (Philippines)
all seem to be personal opinion and in many cases specific advice. Some of the posts have been downright hilarious while others have been incendiary.
What is wrong with the opinions and advice given in this subforum?

I think he was referring to two comments which were basically personal insults by two excellent contributors to the forum. Had nothing to do with the fantastic "pig" post discussion (which hasn´t been touched).

Be careful what you say
I'll be looking for a "death squad" to take out her dad. None of the family likes the prick anyway.
I'm sure we all know that the above statement was made in jest, but I would be careful what I said on a public forum. If, by chance, some fatal accident were to befall Dad, you might be a prime suspect.

Your Tax Dollars At Work
Pigs are so valuable to some indigenous peoples that special forces has gone so far as to sling load hogs into the jungle with Blackhawks to garner the cooperation of tribal chiefs in certain locations. When you live deep in the jungle paper currency has little value and possession of currency is a clear indication to guerrillas that a settlement had contact with outsiders. In these instances pigs are the preferred form of legal tender.
I've won the love and tender favors many a jungle and mountain girl with a few chickens or a plump piglet.
