I have to agree. I've had a number of high-end, gorgeous girls insist they wouldn't do LT, only ST. After the ST was over, they'd head back to the Go-Go, and it would be pretty quick before they'd get another ST. Even tried one at Happy-Go-Go going after midnight. She was beautiful, and even though it was towards the end of the night, wouldn't go LT. That was probably ok anyway, as how enthusiastic would she have been with me doing "sloppy thirds" or "sloppy fourths".

However, a historical perspective is interesting. Recall how they jacked up prices around 1997 when the Thai economy imploded. Though that caused outrage in the mongering community, the providers enjoyed ten years of those higher prices. Long term, it makes sense to keep prices up. Maybe there is a lot of pressure getting them to maintain prices. Their services will, after all, always be in demand.

This is very true! Everybody has their own theory as to why girls aren't budging on price; be it the economy, lack of tourists, politics etc. The real fact of the matter is that demand is still high. The only event that caused a drop in prices was the airport closure, which cut off the flow of all the sex tourists completley.

Go out any night in Pat and you will see there is no shortage of punters looking for action. Also the amount of middle eastern punters is getting larger every year(they've pretty much taken over Tony's disco). These guys pay through the nose for p4p.

Yah, people will cut down there spending on hotels, restaurants, and shopping malls, but not when it comes to getting laid.

Guys are still gonna pay top dollar to get laid with high quality meat and all the hotties know it.

Muslims generally end up with more disposable income as they drink little and htye do like to fuck.

Low season has arrived and the number of customers at Happy a-go-go is dwindling ...

So they raised their happy hour drink prices by 5 baht!

Thai business reasoning:

* Many customers (high demand) -- lower prices.

* Few customers (low demand) -- raise prices.

It was a while ago, but I think it was 1,500. That girl would not budge on the LT, just refused. I think it was the desire for volume (which as a stunner she would get), rather than a child/boyfriend at home. Definitely hadn't had a child (unless she adopted...). I think her name was... uhh... 94. Yea, pretty sure her name was #94.

For the top-notch girls (i.e. no shortage of customers wanting to barfine them) at Happy's, I believe LT was typically 2,000 - 2,500 plus barfine. That was for the high-end stuff. I remember one girl, you'd have to get there reasonably early, or else she'd be gone. Her name was... hmmm... 46? Maybe 26? 46 or 26, don't recall her exact name.

I Remember when they raised the airport tax at Koh Samui to 2600 Baht because so few passengers were flying. If people had been going to pay that, it would have remained.

The only thing that helps is to shop price aware, indepedently of being able to afford more or not.

Failing that hang around by the barrier that closes off the access to the back of the boxing ring under Marine Disco, also on Walking Street.

The white Russian girls as opposed to the Arab Uzbekis tend to do a circuit of WS but always seem to stop off there.

They are not cheap. I got asked for $100 short time by the last 1 that approached me. Stunning though she was the local girls would go long time for $25.

Theory about P4P and prices.
I guess the impression that at low season the prices goes high, might be a wrong impression. I think at low season many girls go to other places, maybe Gulf countries, Singapore, HK, Europe, etc. Same like in ancient times the hunters follows the path of the buffalos.
And the amateur girls might leave Pattaya to spend the low season with their families.
The result is that in Pattaya there are less girls. So, demand is the same as in high season.
Also, the more hard core prostitutes will remain in Pattaya and those hard core girls, might have sponsors, or enough income left from high season.
Also, maybe in low season there are more Stunner available and monger will asks the better looking girls for prices and they are always more expensive like the average or ugly girls.
So, the higher prices might be resulting because guys who go in low season with a 5 or a 6, now asking a 7 or 8 (out of 10).

The reason for the increase in beer prices might just have something to do with the duty increase on alcohol brought in by the government last week.
