Kanda-san,Sorry, my mistake. The little extra was in fact given as "taxi money", not as a tip. You are absolutely right about this, no need of tip here in Japan, no matter where you are from my experience. It can even be embarassing for a person to receive a tip...Gomennasai.

In Japan the service is good because that is what is expected. Good or great service is rewarded by the agreed upon fee. Bad service is penalized by non-repeat customers. Tipping is not a part of this equasion. If you think the girl gave you exceptional service, then invite her to dinner or be a repeat customer-DO NOT TIP.

Monday night I was propositioned by a street walked on the Takanawa side of Shinagawa Station. It was the first time I'd ever seen any action going on there, but before you get all excited the woman had to be at least 40, probably 45 and since it was late and I was disgusted I didn't get a good enough look to figure out what country she came from.Last night I was drunk off my ass and propositioned by several Chinese girls in Roppongi. This may have had something to do with the fact that I shaved my head (I'm not in the military) but usually my friends always get offers there too. For those of you who are really hard up to get any action I'd suggest looking for paid action in Roppongi, they never seem too discriminate to me.

Don't know much about Kanda (though my namesake) though Akihabara, one stop over, is starting to blossom. Big Cosplay fetish and the maid craze has taken over. Many legit bar, cafes, etc., but lots of backstreet action as well. Worth a look.

Friend recommended new place "Vicious ___" across from Nippori Station (Nippori Eki Mae Bldg- just ask the police box!) and was definitely a treat. Huge pink sign on the upper floors. Ecellent service, including BJ, for 10,000 YEN. Definitely heading back soon.

God, I love that place. Arrived late on Monday and headed over there around midnight. A very diverse crowd to say the least. Lots of TS's, good looking but no matter how you cut it, it's still a guy. Met a couple of Thai chicks. The one who could speak English best told me I could have the other one for 20k. I told her I had just arrived from BKK and would pay the prevailing BKK rate. She didn't see the humor. Anyway, time wore on and got them down to two for 10. I was pleased.Went to Heartland on Wed. after work but no great shakes going on there. Eventually I made it back to Motown. More of the same altered guys but also a few more locals. Also a lot of low life looking muthas. They didn't stay that long. Ended up with two more, Thai/Japan mix. This time freebies. Unfortunately one passed out on my hotel room floor but the other was quite accommodating.
