So the girls in Beer Bars either work there or are customers, but are not freelancers picking up guys, right? So that is why Bier Garten cannot be called a beer bar, even is open to the outside air.

I don't use beer bars that often unless need a lunch time fuck, and no other good options. If not looking for sex, I much prefer a good Sports Pub, with no working girls, since the food should be (better be) vastly superior, and I don't get hassled so much to order drinks (Hillary bars are bad for hassling for drink commissions). Even sit at at Corner bar in Cowboy with no working girls, for a good cheap burger. Maybe that should be called an open-air Sports pub, LOL, since they do have sport on the TV screen mostly.

After nearly 4 weeks here, decided it was time to get out of my comfort zone of Insomnia, Lucifer etc and having a GF type 1. 5 week GFE live in! So, as I mentioned earlier decided to explore and adventure.

- Hit Soi 7, 6, Diana, 13, LK Metro, Soi Buakhao etc. And many more sois. Lots of walking, scanning, walking in and out quickly. Lingered for a bit at Shooters (after my visit there earlier this trip with Uncke V) and my what a diff 3 weeks makes. There were at least 3 good lookers last time,. And this time mostly 30's, 40's (wtf) and a couple of late 20's girls. Gave up and hit Soi 6.

- hung around at Nightwish, next to Toy Box, had a drink, bought a couple of drinks for a cute girl (lookers few and far between), may hook up with her (21 from Ubon, but back of hands look like 26, so I think worked at a farm. 1 month in Patts, almost zero English, but might hook up with her on her day off for a LT and Insomnia night out (have her number) and agreed on 3 k. Let's see if works out. She wants to go out and dance too.

- walked in and out of several (almost all) LK metro gogos there (something I don't typically do and opted for this area because it is NOT full of a Japanese and Korean that BBoi talks about. Don't want to hang around those guys, as I find them to be uncool and it sours my mood and experience; stayed and had a drink or two at Touch (ok but did not find any that I cared for.) Then went to Champagne (3 sets of about 20 dancers for a total of about 60 girls, very few guys. Less than 15. Saw 2 girls I like, I like this place cause I don't like to sit and look up at the girls with my neck at an angle and in a sedentary state. Managed to get up to the bar and stand there which was a good vantage point and most girls go out from a door there to a room upstairs to relax, freshen up before their next set dancing. And they are required to come down or slide down a pole from the second floor above. I never saw this part when I was sitting down and so I found that vantage point appealing. Managed to interact well with one of servers / mamasan and bought her a drink (yeah, LOL) and she calls herself No 1 (haha). Having established a rapport of some sort and having a place by the bar and also chatted with the 2 guy bartenders there, so I will go back again for sure and maybe barfine one of the 2 I liked. No 1 told me BF varies depending on the girl, 800,1000, or 1,200. I'm guessing 3 k on top of for the girl. One seems to like me and came back several times to talk. Early 20's, decent English, relatively speaking and pretty face (8-8. 5), rest about 6. 5. Will update this one later.

3. My girl from Isaan asked me to check out TQ (a 50 yr old place and a dive Go Go on Beach RD, popular with Harley guys). Total of 1 I found good and have her number for her day off on Friday, so will head back on Thurs night and take her out and show her a good time. Bought her 3 drinks and chatted with a nice guy from England the whole time I was there sitting at the bar.

4. Checked out many of the beer bars in and around Central festival mall on second and beach RD sois, also going up from there to Soi Buakhao. Walked and walked for hours over 2-3 days checking them all out and scanning for a lucky break. Nothing, nada. Hit up 3 Great rock bands, on 2nd (right across from VT 6 and also just past Mikes shopping mall (2 bands each night, the second one that starts at 11 is very good) and LK Metro (The Cave) .

THEN! Finally, lucked out last night when I saw a really pretty face, maybe 20-21 ( had ID for VT 6 ) , new just 1 month from Ubon, in a booth bar (across from the beer bar complex opposite Central Festival) . Actually did not even think I could BF her. But I did, and believe it or not she was the only girl in this tiny, little booth of a bar and BF was only 300 (I think the Thai lady who owns this maybe her aunt or something) and the girl had almost no English. Very new, very quiet and inexperienced. 2000 LT which is what she wanted. Stayed with me from 12 pm to 7 am. I am still very surprised by her cuteness, looks, age and I'd give her a solid 7. 5 (with 8 to 8. 5 for face and only 6. 5 to 7 for the rest, due to small stature, no English whatsoever and small, soft and unfirm titties. But she was nice and cute at night, but inexperienced. Hope to BF 2-3 of the others who I have established contact with as noted above. So, all in all, quite a different few days for me getting out of my routine and comfort zone.

Instead of complaining, like some folks here, you decided to switch things up and your perseverance is now being rewarded. I'm happy things are looking up and you are enjoying your trip. It makes me want to try and broaden my horizons too and give some of those places you mentioned a visit next time I am in town too.

At least, that is what is communicated to me and vice versa with any monger I have ever used the term "beer bar" with in places like the Philippines and Thailand.

And the example of Bier Garten (or Beer Garden) Soi 7 is another case where the "bar" terminology for it when mongers are communicating with each other about the place is all about how you meet and / or take out P4 P girls from there, and not about the kind of drinking or eating that goes on there. In fact, Bier Garten Soi 7 is actually a pub and a restaurant, isn't it? LOL. But we all recognize it as a freelancer bar, rarely referring to it as though it is a pub or a restaurant. It's all about the format for offering P4 P girls.

On the other hand, Bier Garten (Beer Garden) Soi 19 just down the road is never referred to as a freelancer bar AFAIK even though it has the same name as the one on Soi 7, serves food and beverages just like the one on Soi 7 does (different menu), is as open air through the front entrance as the one on Soi 7 and could conceivably have a few freelancers show up from time to time. However, it has never established itself as a place to meet and engage P4P girls, so there's why we never refer to it as any kind of "bar".

In the mongering context, "beer bar" is not a bar that serves beer, but simply an open air venue with barfineable employees (not freelancers).

You know Pattaya IS sleazy, has a number of ugly pockets, lots of crappy humans, and all that. But, I still find exactly all of that stuff stimulating (both from a sensory and thought provoking, standpoint).

However, once ' adjustment to a new local normal sets in' , and you create, and staywithin the confines of, your own local mini universe (of your mental creation), every now and then it surprises you with a few genuinely nice girls and sometimes decent guys to chat with as well.

Don't settle. Life is too short for that. Stay optimistic and patient and don't give up. Sometimes things come to you. Weird but true. YMMV.

They even set up an all you can eat make your own Som Tam station to attract the girls. But even that did not help.

I did see a bunch of older FLs in there a few years ago lying in wait Soi 7 style. But I don't think I even saw one the last time I ventured in (maybe a year ago?

Did you take their offer of apartment + hostess or only hostess. Did the cost cover everything or did you also have to tip the girl.

Was she expensive e. G. Asking for premium dining, gifts etc.

It will be very beneficial to get some more details on service provided by the hostess and any limitations.

That (on Soi 19) is very obviously a pub (or tavern for some), in my language, and I believe Thais would call it a pub also. Same goes for old German Beer House (Soi 11).
