I try not to bring many things including a wallet to Tijuana. I have slim fanny pack for all my IDs, Sentri, passport, extra money etc. I also have a money belt.
If I travel overnight somewhere with suitcase I at least lock my wallet I it. If suitcase gets stolen or slashed by a room attendant very obvious. Hotel room safes can be cracked. I bought an exoskeleton soft safe and wrap it under the sink also to deter.

For people who use Uber in Tijuana, I'm curious where exactly you call for an Uber at the border. Do you wait right in front of the cab stands immediately after entering, cross the street and wait at Farmacia Roma, or somewhere else? I caught a video on YouTube where somebody said he walks half a block away down ferrocarril to a paid parking lot to call, which seemed a bit much to me. PedWest had a standard carshare area but I'm never quite sure where the right place for carshare is at PedEast.

I typically land in Tijuana with 1-2 SA meetings a day, every day lined up, and hit HK or Tropical just to 'get out'. So entirely backwards from pre covid.
The membership is kind if pricey, but it costs less than a shitty HK experience.

People usually wait in front there. There is a lull before the taxi line starts mounting up. You will see other people waiting.
