Medellin Reports

Timely subject. Just got back from Mde, and for the first time in many years, I stayed in an apartment in Parque Lleras. I was shocked at how much this area has changed. I saw many large groups of obvious gringos walking around looking for women. These guys, mostly buffed guys in their 20's and 30's, looked so clueless and out of place that I felt embarrassed to be a fellow gringo. I'm guessing they read / heard stories from years back and were looking for a Parque Lleras that is long gone.

The men (both Colombian and Gringo) outnumber the women easily 2 to 1 in this part of town. And I'm guessing being a Gringo works heavily against you.

Other than to hit some of the nicer restaurants in the Provenzo area, I will steer clear of P. Lleras for the near future. It's still a beautiful area of the city, but it's probably the worse place for a Gringo to be these days.

What worked best for you? This is my second trip to Columbia, First to Medellin. I was in Bogota last year and seemed like I floundered.

I think it's just as easy to join the Alliance Francaise, take a cooking class, or do something similar to meet women for long term wooing. Time is the determining factor. You need a lot of it to make something happen over the Internet or meeting ladies in civilian venues. I could see doing it if I had time to kill on a long term trip. It's a way to break up the routine. It wouldn't work as a primary tactic for me at least.

If it is a chick you are supposed to meet for fucking, why do you feel the need to feed her first? The chicks inside New Life don't expect me to bring them lunch when I go in. That is blurring the lines of dating life and monger life to me.

I have always used the internet to find normal chicks to date with no problem. If I want a hooker then I would rather find her live at a known hooker venue. We both know why each other is there so there is no confusion.

There are some who are semi-pros, meaning they don't work at a casa, but still have a price list. There are others just looking for that WU novio. I think Latin American Cupid has a higher rate of the semi-pros.

With CC, your best bet is if you speak Spanish and stick closer to your age, if you're looking for actual dates. No 25 year old Paisa wants a 55 year old on top of her, unless there's going to be a payday. If you have 2 weeks to work on one or two girls, you might get somewhere, but it's going to cut into your between the sheets time with no guaranteed results.

However, for the guys who prefer the prepago agencies or ad sites like Mileroticos, there is one good option, Twitter.

I found an ad with the girls twitter listed, and checked it out. Between the other suggested accounts from Twitter and the accounts the different escorts follow, I was able to find several clubs, massage parlors, swinger clubs and escorts, complete with reliable photos. Like most escorts, the prices were high, most between 150 k and 250 k.

More than I'm willing to pay, but it seems a more reliable option than Mileroticos, for those who go that route.

I've just had my worst mongering experience ever at la Isla. In general I found the chica's not to be that hot there, there were some I'd rate as 8 though. I went with a taller girl who had tattoo's all over her belly, fake tits, quite a hot body with almost no fat and quite a nice face which made me think she might have some Asian ancestors. Anyway she seemed quite nice in the general room but once we got to the bedroom she was all business. Instead of dancing / enjoying / relaxing even a while she told me to lay down on the bed and she started riding me really fast in a manner to get me coming as soon as possible. I said, hey slow down a bit, but she started pumping even faster and the 'dame tu leche' phrase that general ruins any sex for me came out. She was all drunk, although I've had also some of the best experiences with drunk girls. So once I told her to slow down again she said angrily "dame tu leche o me enojo". Wow the set was quite spoiled already. When I came after a few minutes she said "lets go to your apartment, for 800 k". I said no way, you told me to come ASAP I don't think it will be better in my apartment. She got angry and I got a bit angry too and said "look this was really not good, so I don't want to take you to my apartment'. Then she got really pissed off, started insulting me and when we went outside she started insulting me in front of a girlfriend of hers. I was like WTF is this. I paid 350 k in La Isla, 50 k for a drink for me and her, so 400 k and I get a drunken girl who tells me to 'dame tu leche' and then starts insulting me. Wow. I've had my fair share of mongering but this was really the worst experience by far.

Fuck so called strip clubs. The girls are mostly rude obnoxious worn out hags. There is almost no dancing. The clubs are outdated, uncomfortable chairs. There no point to give them any business. There are very rare exceptions to this. One lazy ***** dared to ask me for an unearned tip and when I coldly refused started insulting me. Then I just stood up and left to cool down. In a perfect world she would get a deserved response, but hey it's their country.

My suggestion is to leave Medellin to us stupid mongers and go find some unknown obscure town in the middle of nowhere and don't post it on the internet.

I wish we could find a place and not let the word out. First time I came to Medellin was 2009 and man has it changed. I stayed in Poblado for the first leg of the trip and Parque Lleras is basically a gringo hangout now. Tons of Americans, Brits, Aussies just walking around everywhere. At 3 am, 4 drunk American guys at a pizza spot speaking English as loud as they can, ordering pizza drunk, getting mad the guy at the counter couldn't understand them -- absolutely no care in the world. Then you got tons of ugly gringo chicks walking around with attitude. Add that to the exploding gay scene especially near Parque Poblado and you got me staying outside Poblado now. Even in Energy, I saw huge groups of Americans this trip. Being American has no benefit these days as it has lost any appeal to the Colombians. Don't get me wrong, when you add the whether, generally cheap prices for food and accommodations, you can do a lot worse but say goodbye to Medellin of yesteryear cause these obnoxious gringos aren't going anywhere. P.S. Gustos in Parque Lleras is a rip off and the regular clubs are pretty lame. At one point I was in a club in the part above Parque Lleras with the nice bars, I think the crowd was 85% guys.
