Sudirman Hill Residences.
I have stayed here and it is great. It has washing machine, kitchen, refrigerator. The apartment shares facilities with somerset hotel so there is swimming pool with the view of Jakarta, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Gym. Really close to so many restaurants and minimarkets. The downside is it's far from North Jakarta and no free breakfast.
Has anyone recently stayed at Mandarin Oriental? Are there freelancers in the MO Bar? I normally stay at four-star hotels under $50 USD when I'm traveling to Jakara for pleasure as my hotel needs are minimal, but this time I'm heading there for a summit near SBCD and booked the Mandarin Oriental so I can meet business clients. I heard the MO bar is nice with live music and drinks but is the freelancer scene similar or nowhere close to BATS at Shangri La, CJ at Mulia bars?

Strongly recommend. Amazing Chinese restaurant (not moo goo gai pan).
I didn't see any pros at the bar. The bar was actually dead the few times that I went.
But honestly it doesn't matter. The hotel doesn't care who you bring in and out. Like zero. And it's easy to get girls in Jakarta. Having a bar with girls would be the last criterion I I would consider.
I actually preferred that the bar was dead. Because when I brought girls to the bar, there was nobody staring. Except the bartenders.
Well it happened. For someone who never even goes for a bbj and insists on CBJ / cfk had a moment. This was a massage lady I visited for third time. First 2 were no sex just base 1 and in the heat to f it for third time we had penetrative sex. I was reaching out for condom (which I always keep) but she said no. So excited I came in less than 30 secs and was cautious to ejaculate outside. But now panicking. Asked her if she does this often and she refused but I cannot be sure because of her profession. I see a lot of regulars here go bareback so wanted to ask what should I do? How much is the risk? I even checked PEP but seems it's available only on prescription and typically such stuff will be reported to ministry of health. So real panick right now. Please guide.
Probably best to get your will in order. OS can as a consolation prize (because you will definitely need consolation) Organise a one off referral for a ride with Grab feel although you must promise to wear gloves and no skin to skin contact. For a tour of Jakarta's cemeteries.

Then you get to experience removing them with nitrogen and without local anesthesia. And there's no cure. And don't google image search "HPV filiform warts". Ask me how I know.
Thanks for the recommendation. I tend to avoid Classic given the reports of BBFS / CIP on the forum.
As a barebacker, you can spare us such holier-than-thou posts in the future. AR.

There wasn't much information available about the MO Bar here, so I doubted about the freelancer scene here. I primarily chose Mandarin Oriental because of its strategic location in central Jakarta, close to Bundaran HI and the BNI stations, which makes it easier to take the LRT or commuter trains to the bars in North Jakarta and to Blok M. At other hotels like the Shangri La, Millennium Sirih, I often feel trapped because it's hard to get out of the area on Gojek or Grab rides from those locations.

Maybe half a star short of five star but damn close. It's a five minute ride to Classic (my favorite) and literally 1 block from Emporium. Can't have a better location for a girl-enthusiast. Grab never took more than 2 minutes to arrive.

I would love to stay in South Jakarta because the north is a disgusting dump.
I have used Google Maps to check the travel time from Tosari (close to Mandarin) to Glodok. Line 1 apparently takes 48 minutes! Is this correct? If yes, gojek will always be faster.
I can also vouch for Movenpick, great pick. Opened last year has a fantastic morning spread and a nice Italian restaurant, courteous staff and modern rooms. Emporium next door and is just 5 minutes walk to Classic. 2 downsides for me, small rooms and not much to do in the area. That's why I prefer to be in center closer to the malls. My picks there: Ascott, Mandarin Oriental, Pullman and 4 points by Sheraton.
…And it's easy to get girls in Jakarta..
I've mongered in Asia, US and Mexico.
I've been to Jakarta twice and used Tinder and Seeking. I've been to Classic and Emporium and Grand Indonesia Mall. I've RTFF many times. Can you kindly elaborate on exactly how do you easily get girls. Thanks in advance.

(or at midnight when everyone is at home).
But anyway, back onto public transport, I have taken the Jakarta MRT and I had thought that it would be relatively easy just to walk over to the station right? Nope. There are no pedestrian walkways, and even the zebra crossing turned into a bike / car space leaving you without any room to cross the road unless you weave around the bikes. Yes, there are some strands of pedestrian walkways but a third of the way through you will be met with motorbikes and cars that straight up park on those walkways leaving you needing to walk on the car lane. This applies to the North and South.
Unless the train actually stops at your required destination that it really isn't that convenient. Other than that I haven't taken the Public bus but is it really worth when you are on holiday and time is precious since you've only got a certain limited amount of time before you head back?
I also worked out that getting the Grab bike / car would not amount to that much of a cost, like 2 USD for 10/15 minutes of travel journey via bike and something like 14/15 USD for an hours worth of travelling via grab car, it really isn't that expensive and you'd really save a lot of time and effort.
