If you wait around long enough, you may see the wives of a few of those very old gentlemen (perhaps three decades removed from their own gogo careers), will join the oldsters. The look may not be one of bliss, but I doubt they'd jump at the prospect of returning to their places of origin. And re the Chinese tourists, the children in tow thing is contemptibly goofy. I'm no expert in their particular psychology, but I suspect there is some belief among themselves that they are superior, and seeing Westerners grovel for the attention of hookers, and the "other" Asians so willing to sell themselves, confirms all that (nevermind that their own hoo-ahs are world class, though Putin would dispute whether they are on par with his). And many of those selfsame Chinese tourists are the bane of global tourism, with their horribly rude behavior (the Thais have many YouTube videos out showing their reckless behavior in the airport queues, etc.), the spitting, the skinflintiness, and the bringing of their rice cookers with them on tour.

Not that the euro's and American's and other Asians have the only right to be in Pattaya but at least they have better sense of just 'fitting in' and enjoy themselves in a good manner.

And why do Chinese parents see it as a fun activity to lead their 3-4-5-6-7 year old through Walking street? Even in Amsterdam parents wouldn't take their kids through until they are 13 or so.

Anyway that said: The first 2 hours coming from Bangkok I was thinking: How can anyone say this place (WS) is more fun then anything in BKK. But. As time went on I can see it good sides too and actually started to like it much better. I also feel the girls are way more down to earth and fun then in BKK and more relaxed overall. Easier to have a chat with without them wanting a new drink every 2 min. Went to a bar last night but forgot the name of it so if anyone can remind me of the name: It's somewhere in the middle. You turn left into a soy and it's then on your right side. I think the promo girls wear purple. As soon as you enter there's a huge bath with soap. You can walk into many gogo bars and have a 20-30:1 ratio. Gogo clubs like Sensations had over 120 girls nightly in June / July but many Japanese men so ratio isn't the best.

Coyotes wear purple some nights, there is a tub in the front, and some very fun girls. I find they push for drinks there compared to some of the other bars.

ItIsMe, consider checking out the gogo bars in LK Metro. Although much smaller, I have more favorite girls from LK than I do in WS.

Agree nice Walking Street video. Rare that guys get clean footage INSIDE a gogo bar. This tour guide definitely knows how to avoid high season by going to Wildcats and Alcatraz, two bars that are never busy! I like one of the Wildcats though.

I have no clues as to why girls would be getting ready to leave Pattaya in May, as Breadman put it. East side of Thailand like Samui and Koh Chang will be at peak sea water colour beauty from February to April, most likely. Sea can be a bit discoloured earlier. West side is different. Phuket is already beautiful in December and January. It's good know about winds of the seasons as well for going to beach resorts, however very little info is available on web sites about the right time of year to visit Islands and beach resorts. They pretend it is good all year round. I once went to Raelie Beach Krabi, long ago, when it rained nearly non stop. That was mistake of wrong timing. No point to go there in wet season.[/QUOTE]Great summary. As you pointed out are you there for the girls or for the beach and how well do you handle hot weather. The wet weather is cooler and just makes it little messy for wearing long pants. With shorts you can just rinse off your legs. A rainy windy Krabi resort is ok based on the services available but is made up for by the lower prices.

In the hot season. I just make sure I get washed and scrubbed more often to keep the body oder at bay. Which dove tails nicely with the girls.

I have always enjoyed this venue, but have not been in well over a year. Mostly for the nearby convenience I choose to go to it's sister club LE Poste, which is much busier. Any tips from Senior Mongers on how to avoid soreness. When you're mid-trip and going 3-4 times daily? On my last trip I had to slow my pace around day 4. I figured I'd ask. I can't be the only one having issues with this.

I ended up at Soi Diana at the beer bar complex. Now. I had the most fun there I think of last 1.5 week. Girls were hilarious and fun. Played loads of (drinking) games (no: no cheating) and you could drink and give rounds all night long for the same money you could be done within a hour in Soi Cowboy for example. LK Metro was interesting too only visit 1-2 places yet. But the whole area is interesting to walk through. Way less 'touristy' indeed and bars fulled with people who seem to be here for a while and know their way around. Def. Nice for a change!

Did learn last night that taking girls back who just arrived in Pattaya and are so fresh they speak at most 2 words English isn't really my thing. In my mind it sounded like a fun idea but it's such hard work at the end and the cuteness and her being all shy (she was 19, and just started work 2 weeks ago) was nice for a while it almost felt like high school again where you would be all excited about holding hands and giving kisses and all. The bar owner told me to take good care of her and be gentle and sweet and was at first bit afraid to let her go with someone yet but because I spend almost whole night there and got to know them she was cool with it. In bed she was nice (same high school feeling) but nah. I leave it at this one time I think. English Thai google translation gets you only so far.

Tomorrow should be a interesting day everywhere with it being Valentines.

This is my sixth day in Pattaya, never been in Thailand before.

A man who I met on the plane wanted to share a taxi to Pattaya and paid the fare for both of us. I had pre-ordered a taxi from pt taxi service.

I reserved a room from Sea me spring hotel for the first week. It is located at soi 10 which is quite peaceful location in my opinion and everything is nearby. Rooms are large and clean, there are safety box in the room and there is a pool on the roof which I like. I think it is a good hotel for a first timer like me.

About girls.

First girl I had in Kawaii bar at soi 6. 350 BF and 1000 st. Was a good experience even though we had to sex upstairs in the bar. I would had taken her to my hotel but she could not come for some reason.

Second girl I took from Gold gogo bar at LK metro. Agreed on 1000 BF and 3000 LT. When we went back to my place I fucked her until I got tired and wanted to rest before another round. I found out she does not understand or speak english so we had to communicate through google translator and she wanted to go eat and there was no chemistry at all. So I offered her 1000 if she wants to leave and she accepted and left.

Third girl I found at soi diana from some of the beer bars. Very cute and funny with big breasts.
For some reason she did not do LT when I asked. Agreed to pay 300 BF and 1000 for st at my hotel. This was a very good experience, too bad I forgot to ask her number.

Fourth girl I found at WS. Beautiful 24 yo FL who wanted 1500 for st at my hotel and gave me her number.

Fifth girl I found at soi diana again from some of the beer bars. This girl was older than the girls I had before but she was fine. Paid 300 BF and 2000 for LT at my hotel and she left about mid day. I will keep picking up young girls instead.

Last night one guy from another forum showed me two places which I had not visited alone before. The drinking street and soi made in Thailand. They were ok but I think they were bit pricey and the best looking girls were already barfined.

From there we ended up to WS and went to some beer bar.

I don't know is it normal but at those beer bars we visited last night the girls were asking me 600 BF and 3000-4000 for LT. Drinks were also same price and even more expensive than a lady drink in a Gogo club so I did not get a good impression. I would rather go to a Gogo club than pay those prices at beer bars.

Took the 24 yo FL again to my hotel in the same night because I reached her on a Line and she was at WS.

Quite often my girls have taken the change from them and over tip for me. Perhaps it's so that they come often for service or maybe it's so that the bar staff will watch over them in the present or future. Yes I normally tip the greens but come on. After a few rounds who has any 20 baht notes in their wallet? I also didn't find the bar waitstaff that bad tbh, the actual bartenders and the cashiers we're mostly pricks tho. I've never had any run ins with the security either, however I do notice that they can be brutally effective when they want to be unlike Australia where it often becomes a pissing contest.

FYI: There is a scheduled power outage for this Wednesday, 2/15 from 9 a to 5 p, that will affect significant portions of Pattaya. If you had a blackout this past Sunday, you'll probably be affected Wednesday. And if they're on Thai Time, It may last longer.

Chatter on a Pattaya messaging group has reports of the Army and BIB on Soi Honey and WS. Windmills and Heaven Above on WS closed for the night. Unknown reason or for how long.

They came in 20+ vehicles and scooters with lights on and then proceeded to line-up at the beginning of the street for some sort of speech or instructions. They seemed bit full of themselves and all smiling and filming each other. Then they proceeded to Star a gogo but they were done there within 3-4 minute and moved on to the next bar (I think it was a ladyboy bar, next door). Then they went towards the Windmill. I think we stood there for about 10-15 minutes. From what I could see girls were moved off the stage. Customers were still allowed to stay inside but most left but new ones were still allowed to enter. It was CSD (Police, Military with all sorts of badges and about 8 tourist police (who just tried to act all interesting and as if they were important, but more so just traffic directors.). From what I saw they were checking staff for weapons (and drugs?) and they were checking all their pockets and such. Can't tell what went on inside but I overheard one of the tourist police guys say it was all just a routine check. But then again he could just say that cause they couldn't disclose anything. They then left the windmill and they were just letting new customers enter and all. They then proceeded back towards walking street and up some stairs to another bar (sorry I don't know the names). I then left so can't give any more info. However I did walk by the windmill at 00:30 and doors were indeed closed. Other bars that they've checked were still open.
