Yes, I read in the forum that one can meet girls on the bus and maybe even get some action. Plus I get to see the countryside.
The reason you can sometimes get some action on the bus is that the chicas use the bus to travel to and from Sosua, so certain buses, like the last one on Friday evening into Sosua are likely to have some single women on board headed for Sosua for the weekend. The early morning buses are much less likely to have such passengers as chicas tend not to get up early unless they have kids.
Hi Frannie, yes, my first night is in SD. I fly in late afternoon to PUJ from Atlanta. I think Sousa is right near Sosua haha.
Atlanta is a hub for Delta. They have connections to more convenient flights to Santo Domingo and Santiago, usually via New York.
Here's my itinerary in case anyone has comments. It'd be cool to wing it with some DR vets. Maybe Tempecorto? (smile). Arrive in PUJ 11 Jan take bus to SD stay one night at Hotel Casa Coco. Then Metro bus for four days at Sousa, stay at Rocky's. Then southward to Santiago two days at Hotel Matum. Then bus to SD four nights at Dona Elvira.
I am flattered Bro. My comments are in line with what others have stated.
1) I do not like SD. With its big city chaos and noise and what have you. However you have a bunch of people lined up, then it is a different story. But always have back up for each of them. As Old Kool says, often times there are no shows for a variety of reasons including no money for bus ride. I tell them to take the bus and I would reimburse but typically do not send money ahead of time. Also, unless you are into "casa", it might be hard for you to fish with limited Spanish the very first trip in SD.
2) I think spending more time in Sosua is a better idea as Frannie says. The fish is everywhere and it is a small walkable town and I understand one can even do without English although, personally I stay away from anyone who tries a bit of English on me. Also food is excellent including Dominican food.
3) You can invite the women from around Santiago (I do) and that may help you without having to travel to Santiago for two days unless your Santiago contacts cannot travel to Sosua. Limiting it to Sosua and SD as Mr E suggests, will allow you to spend more time fishing and less with move and new hotel and all that baloney.
My two cents.
P.S.: Have you already booked your hotels as well. I do not recognize any of the SD hotels from this forum. Perhaps others do.

It turns out to be the cheapest and shortest flight on Southwest Airlines frequent flyer plan.

Just concerns me that you are thinking of spending seven nights out of eleven in the large cities. Still, it is YOUR vacation, and no doubt you will have a lot of fun.
Any boots on the ground reports?
It appears that Brother P and I will be in town soon!

Some of the DC chicas in SD and Santiago that I've been corresponding with are super stacked and sexy so hence those locations but I do like the beach, too. Maybe I will get lucky on the bus, too. I can hardly wait. I love those Asian babes when I go there but its so hard to find big boobs there. I think DR is known for big boobs, yes? I'd like to hook up with Miosotis in Santiago if that's possible. Has anyone been with her?

While there are big boobs, the slim waist and big boobs together are not that common. Actually rare, to my limited experience.

I would need to bring jesus, buddha, and mohammad with me to bless my activities!
. I think DR is known for big boobs, yes?
I think more appropriately Sosua is known for big booty's versus big boobs!
