This is a dine in situation. Called her over to my room, had a good time, then within 30 seconds she is texting away for the next 20 minutes!
She said it was her friend, the same friend, for the full 20 minutes. Why don't you just call her instead of incessantly texting? Isn't it faster and more efficient?
Anyway, the pictures are too grainy to be stimulating, but just notice the time stamp at the bottom. Within 32 seconds of getting off me, SMSing...
Who took the pics? hehe

As for me, if a girl started texting within 30 seconds of the act, I would have thrown her out of the room!
Answer: Texting is free in the PH. Voice calls cost money.
To receive texts is always free. To send texts is not always free. But yes it is much cheaper than voice calls. With a Smart or Globe reload card, you typically get a certain number of free messages; how many depends on the amount of load you buy. Once you run out of the free messages, then it's 1 peso per text without a discount scheme. There are various discount schemes for texting: for example, Smart has a scheme by which you can pay a certain prepay fee and get unlimited texting between 11pm and 6am. I'm not recalling the particulars, but you can look it up on the Smart website.

Then you get free sms to all networks for 24 hours. Works great.

Question: will ANY tri-band GSM unlocked phone as long as it has 900/1800 work with the SIM cards in the PI ?

FF,
I thought that you need to have at least P21 balance. P20 for the unlimted text and P1 just to receive text and calls.

Robb
I seem to recall stating that you have ot have P1 balance. But to be honest I never really check. I know theres lots of other " all promos out there.". I always ask the girl of the moment and they always tell me something or other about a promo.

Not all will take mms settings tho.
Other more expert brothers might be able to let you know more.

Yes. In fact, 900/1800 will work everywhere in Asia that has GSM service.

SMS and Shangrila
Have a couple of questions. Will be coming for my first time in Makati.
1. If I tell a girl to leave the phone switched off throughout their time with you, are they likely to comply? Having phones go off with calls or sms is something that really annoys me.
2. Have heard much about the Renaissance Hotel. Any tips about mongering in the bar at the Shangri-La makati. I will be tired on my first night there and would prefer to avoid having to go out. Any tips on keeping things discrete?. The place will be swarming with work colleagues.

If she likes you, you should be ok telling her to turn it off.
I had one sweet Filipina lady in my bed last week, with her head in my lap when she gets an sms signal. She stoppped her bobbing, thought for a moment and was on the verge of going to answer it when I suggested to her that if she touched her phone, she would be thrown out the door immediately. Her head went back to work.
I have a sweet Thai friend who sometimes travels with me, and whenever she meets me at the airport, she shows me her phone, takes sim card out, turns phone off and says " I'm with you, I don't want any interruptions". Now thats class!
