Been reading this board for about a year now but have never gotten around to posting. I've finally come upon an opprotunity to visit AC but have some logistical concerns. My current situation (Iraq) and my employer (Tito Sam) aren't big fans of exact dates when it comes to R&R. All I know is I will be taking a "break" for 18 days sometime late June/early July. I'm pretty sure they'll fly me to the PI but just in case I'm planning on flying out of San Francisco if they fail. I need to arrange transport to AC from Manila and I think I've got that covered via a private car and driver. My biggest concern is hotel. I can't make reservations because I don't have exact dates. Is it hard to get a room for a couple of weeks this time of year. I've been looking at Wild Orchid, Orchid Inn, Pacific Breeze, etc. All the usuals. What do you guys think is my best bet? Are there other options. I'll have more questions in the coming weeks. I want to land on the ground ready to rock and roll. Any of you all going to be in AC around the same time? Any other advice or info you guys may have would be greatly appreciated!
I wouldn't worry about getting a hotel or transportation. All can be taken care of the day you arrive if you must. Don't get hung up on certain hotels. There are plenty of decent to good ones around. You are there for the entertainment mostly. Just go and have fun. I believe it's rainy season during that time, so getting something won't be difficult last minute. Pacific Breeze and Central Park, the same owners reply within 24 hours and can arrange a pickup for you. But like I said, don't get hung up on the hotels. It's not that big of a deal.
Since I haven't found any information like this in this forum before, I thought it may be helpful to first timers!
1. there is a bus shuttle service between Manila-Angeles-Subic (and vv)
->Southern Cross Bus Shuttle
I tried it myself (from AC to MNL) and it was on time, reliable and comfortable at 550 Pesos!
See the jpgs
2. please also find maps of AC entertainment area.
See the pdfs
Cheers

There is a shuttle that leaves the Sunset Gardens Hotel everyday at around 10am goes to By The Sea and returns at around noon. Double check but I think that is correct. I think it is 500 pesos per.

If you have to fly from SF you may want to look for this routing.
1) I'll probably be there for a week in early July.
2) You could use the Margarita Station website to book your hotel. You list your top few options and they'll do the legwork for you getting it booked. If the notice is VERY short you might have to move once or twice during your stay. Margarita Station also has the cheapest airport pickup rate, and will show up with a cooler full of your favorite beverage.

Okay, so Margarita Station's info and services are good to go? I've been reading through their website and also Jimmy Reginas, but haven't heard much talk about if they are reporting good info or if the folks running the sites are good peoples.
Keymaster already gave you great advice. If you're coming out of Iraq...I can't help wondering why you're getting the willies about booking a hotel in AC.
Margarita Stn has been in business a while, and I assume they make money from the bookings. It's not my favorite place to eat, nor hang out, but I think you should give them the benefit of the doubt. Mr. Woodrow has suggested it, and it sounds like he's used the service.
I can't help but think it's a bit disrespectful to post a message doubting the validity of the recommended site -- much less failing to thank the poster.
I have no idea about "jimmy regina". Who dat?
If you prefer a pool, as I do, you can start with Hotel America on the low end, and of course most of the more expensive places have a pool.
Have a good trip.

Jimmy Regina is a young (same age) Caucasian male via his infamous website is how I first heard about AC. Google his name the site will appear magically before your eyes. He runs a blog and forum. Every so often he blows through AC like a hurricane and tells the world all about it. Generally cool guy also.
Hey Guys , Does anyone have any info on Flights between Guam and AC?
Google is your friend...
http://www.guamportal.com/guam_flight.html
"Northwest Airlines one of the major US operators offering Guam flights and US passengers can connect to airlines in a number of other countries. Philippine Airlines, China Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Korean Air all operate frequent Guam flights. This combination of airlines connect Guam with Hawaii, Micronesia, Hong Kong, Australia and other international ports."
Also, can anyone update us on what other flights there are to and from Clark anywhere in PI or SEA ? Thanks HUSKY
Here's a start : Cebu Pacific

It's amazing what huge flight packages are being arranged just to get laid.
Maybe a domestic flight in the US,
then SF--> Guam
Guam--> MNL
then somehow to AC
bumbum bumbum...... :D
and all the hassle again going back.
Always wondering, if all counted together including these high fuel surcharges nowadays, what is the price per pop?
But I can understand, because just being back from AC.... :D
Having every night such a firm 19y/o body and good GFE is simply priceless.
Now 50 days and counting till next trip.... :p
But I don't wanna complain, trips to JKT and Phuket are within these 50 days,
and KL isn't bad either.
Cheers!
Gents,
I was checking out some music today and came across a goofy song that has nothing to do with Angeles City but I liked the melody and general idea behind the song in it's regard to women.
So I edited the song a bit and added pictures from my recent trip.
Hope my monger brothers enjoy the video on You Tube.

In the meantime I'm off back to Colombia again tomorrow.

2. Overland from Istanbul to Cairo through Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Israel & Egypt.
3. Air Arabia from Luxor to Sharjah UAE.
4. Air Arabia from Sharjah to Cochin, India.
5. Overland from Cochin to Bangalore.
6. Jetstar from Bangalore to Singapore.

Because I could kiddo.
Could have written a book about the experience, particularly when I hired a car in Jordan and got lost one evening on the Palestinian West Bank. Thought I was an ex-Gamahucher. Should have known better - the Palestinians are one of the most hospitable people on earth and took me in, providing food, a bed for the night and an escort the following morning to put me on the right road.
Also got in a spot of Mongering along the way :D GH
