Bogota Reports

I know some will shy away from Santa Fe area, but with right knowledge and preparation you can make it a good visit. Talent is the same and sometimes better quality then the places up north and the prices are many times lower in Santa Fe then in Zona Rosa. You have to very careful in this area; this is a challenging neighborhood for safety. There is a police and army presence there, but don’t let that fool you, you still have to take care of your security. If you don’t have experience with large South America cities and don’t speak basic Spanish, the hire a driver, the money you spend will be well worth it. You can negotiate fixed price for the full night or hourly rate. This is certainly not the place to be a hero.

I tried to stay in the one block area of Cr16A, between Cl 23 and 24 the place where the most of the action is. It’s bustling with people and vendors and well lit. Any side streets from there will be darker. A walk from there to La Piscina or El Castillo is possible and it’s only a few blocks away, but watch you back. Check out more then one club, some are much busier then others and some will be completely dead. There are so many clubs in the area that it makes sense to check a few and find the one you like. Many chicas move frequently from club to club looking for a customer, so if you fancy one don’t count on her to be there an hour later. Chicas inside the club are much better the streetwalkers, so don’t waste your time with a SW in Santa Fe.

Taking a cab back is another challenge is you don’t have a driver, this is Bogota after all. It’s best to call for a cab or have one pre-arranged with the cab company beforehand. Cabs hang out at the corner of Cr 16A and Cl 24.

A follow-up to my post about not drinking in Colombia. I recently did a trip to Bogota and a few other cities. In all of the bars in Santa Fe, you can order Gatorade for $5K or Red Bull for $10K. ("Gatorade" is pronounced in Colombia similar to AmEnglish, but you have to enunciate the "t" and roll the "r" a bit).

The only place in the country where I was refused service was Joy Night Club, in Manizales, where you had to order a half-liter of liquor. No other option. I told them I don't drink and they told me I had to leave. There are many 'whiskerias' all over Colombia which do not serve beer and you have to order liquor. In general most of these places serve Red Bull. Other than Joy, even in fairly local bars in cities like Manizales and Pereira, I had no problem finding something without alcohol. E. G. Oasis in Manizales served Coca-Cola in a cold glass bottle for 1500 pesos! In Flores Frescas (in Pereira), I was actually able to order a pitcher of Colombiana (soft drink), for, I forget the exact price but around 6000.

A few other notes.

1. Colombian bars are now no-smoking due to national law (different from my last time). I'm sure this has been noted before on this board, but I didn't see the memo.combine with the no drinking, and you can actually spend the whole night out mongering with minimal olfactory evidence (except all of the putrid perfume which all of the girls wear! )

2. La Casona was/is closed. Due to 'remodeling', not sure for how long. El Fiebre was advertising itself as La Casona. (I think most of the bars on that block are under the same ownership). That bar as well as Las Paisas and La Troya were rocking very hard, as well as Atunes. I felt that La Piscina had dipped somewhat. And I've never been a big fan of El Castillo, although that one was pretty lively also.

Also: I have a fetish for women with orthodontic braces. I have been going to Bogota for 5 years, and it has always been the best city for finding women with braces, it now is even better than it ever has been. Bogota is THE CITY to monger in, if you have a braces fetish, especially Santa Fe. Probably as many as 1 out of 3 working ladies in Bogota has braces. If anybody knows of a locale anywhere on the planet which is comparable, I would certainly be very interested in hearing about it.

Still a great personality, and still very talented. Wants to meet more foreign men. Can't think why.

Here is my review of the few I visited. By all means this is not all of the clubs in Santa Fe, just my sample during this trip. See Bogota Lists thread for locations, maps and prices.

El Castillo. It’s right next to the Transmilenio stop on Calle 22 (if you are adventurous enough to take it there). Large club with pricey drinks and good shows. Crowd is somewhat more upscale then other clubs. Chicas will be asking for 80-100K, but you can find similar talent in other clubs for 30-60K on Cr 16A.

La Piscina. Similar to El Castillo, but was less busy. Many talents on hand and prices similar to El Castillo. Worth spending some time there. Their day version is also pretty good.

Las Vegas. One block from El Castillo. Packed with locals and average talent. Beers are cheap if you can get a seat, but shows are so-so.

Manzalitas. Small club and not very busy. Suppose to feature all paisa talent, but it didn’t appear that way. Very few chicas. It’s on the way from El Castillo to the clubs on Cr 16A.

Venus. Average club with average talent. Crowd is thinner here, both customers and chicas. You can find some gems here, but you have to look hard.

Troya. Large and very busy club. One of the best in my opinion. Plenty of talent on hand and some good shows. A bit more pricier then others, but well worth it. Rooms upstairs are also fairly clean. You can enter on both sides, from Cr 16 or 16A, very convenient and fun walk though.

Las Paisas. One of the best on Cr 16A. Very busy packed with customers and chicas. There is a cover charge, but you can exchange a ticket for a free beer. You can get a stunner here for 60K. Watch your pockets as this place is very busy.

In my opinion Troya and Las Paisas are the best places to be in Santa Fe, and not only they are on the same block, but they are on the same side of the street, which you can appreciate in this area of Bogota.

Tamaguchi, Llaneras and Aton. I stopped by there, but they were not worth spending time in. Llaneras was better one of the three.

Here is my review of the places on the north side of the city that I visited recently.

El Chapinero area of the city offers best opportunities for mongering, from my point of view. Area below/South Cl 72 (Chile) and West of Cr 14 (Av Caracas) is a bit dodgy, but much cleaner then Santa Fe and with right precautions you can walk around alone. This is a stone throw from hustle and bustle of Zona Rosa, but it’s much quieter, with few shops and food stalls serving local food. It’s an easy walk from Zona Rosa, but keep in mind that none of the (except Tantra Spa 67 during open hours ) will have signs at the door, so you might be better off spending 2-3K on the cab, unless you are good with Bogota street numbering system.. All of these places close around 8 or 9 at night, so this will be a good early evening or afternoon place for an easy score before the night on the town. Don’t show up before closing, you provider will rush to complete as fast as she can. Most of these places cater to locals and you will rarely see any gringos here, except some well informed members of this site.

Chicas Milenio, Calle 71 # 14A-20 Great place and by far my favorite. It’s a small but clean place with 10-12 chicas on hand ranging from 6 to 8 with only 30K for 30 min with some girls very enthusiastic about providing it to you. No BS about pretending to be a massage parlor, just straight service provider.

Chicas 2000/ Las Profesionales, Calle 71 # 14A-27-33 is right across the street from Chicas Milenio. At 20K for 20 min is probably the cheapest full service you can get without going to Santa Fe. Quality of the chicas is average and service is average.

Kukylandia (Av. Caracas), # 73-28 Good shows at night, low beer prices, but chicas are not the best quality. This place gets busy at night with locals. Definitely the one to check out if you are in the neighborhood.

Tantra Spa 67, Carrera 15 # 67-24 Great place with oriental inspired décor. Only 4 chicas were working when I got there in the afternoon, but the place in clean, friendly and service was great. You can also order reliable escorts here. See more info on their website.

Some places, like Tantra Spa 67 will have specials for a beer and girl for 20 min combined at 25K. I guess this is an excellent after work stopover for some bogotianos. You can enjoy it too on the way back to hotel from the center.

Area north of Cl 72 (Chile) is where all of the clubs, restaurants, hotels and shopping malls are. In this area mongering places will be pricier by Bogota standards and will cater mostly to foreigners or well-heeled locals. It’s safe to walk around day or night, just don’t forget that you are still in Bogota. If you don’t care about the price you will have a good time there, but keep in mind that asking prices here range from 180K for to 400K in the places like Revista Show and you can get for 30K just 10 minutes away in El Chapinero.

All of the places I visited below are an easy walk from Suites Real 85.

Revista Show (Cabaret Sign) Calle 86a # 14-57 and Casanova's next to it are both top of the line establishments. Chicas will start by asking 300 – 400K and bar fine is another 150K. Yes there are some stunners there, probably 8 or 9 if dropping 500K for a full service does not bother you. Of course you do have a chance of getting a gorgeous 22 y.o. paisa to spend a night with you and you don’t have to dig though the seedy Santa Fe to do it. Prices are negotiable, but still, don’t expect it to drop from 400K to 50K for ST.

Lalo’s is another high-end club in this area, prices were a bit higher there.

Angel’s (Mantis Club) on Calle 83 # 14-26 and Abejitas on Carrera 14 # 83-23 around the corer from it are places to see even if you don’t plan to pay for the service. Billing themselves as massage parlors offering all types of massage including Colombian style (tempting ;) they have huge flat screen TV’s on the walls showing porn and sexy chicas in short skirts that will offer you full service for 180K. They are clean and it’s a good choice for an afternoon gateway. Keep in mind that they don’t have any signs at the door, so go by the address of the place provided. They are both on the 2nd floor of the two story building.

I really liked Suites Real 85 on the corner of Cr 18 and Cl 85, clean and pleasant place to stay. It’s right next to nightlife district, only 4 blocks away and huge Carulla 24 hr supermarket is 2 blocks away. There is a ton of restaurants, bars and shops in the immediate walking distance and area is very pleasant. You can appreciate that you can walk to Suites Real 85 after a few beers and not subject yourself to a taking a cab from the street late at night. Hotel is very girl friendly and you will have no issues in bringing you chica here late at night or getting an escort girl to your room. Breakfast in the morning will be an icing on the cake. Suites Real 97 is a bit cheaper, but further north from the corner of Cl 85 and Cr 15 nightlife/clubs area. VIP apartments run by Fred are even further north from Suites Real 97. Price is a bargain in comparison to what you would pay in Zona Rosa, but being on 125th Calle you are that much further from the center. You would get a private room and share facilities. Rooms are nice and clean and service is top notch. This place is good if you limit your visit to clubs in Zona Rosa/Parque 93 or you get an chica to come to your place. Tantra Spa 67, Carrera 15 # 67-24 is good and reliable for that, 180K for 1 hr service, transport included they will throw in anal for another 100K, ask if the girl will do it. However daily or nightly trips to Santa Fe from here can be exhausting, Bogota traffic gets really bad. Pesqueria Jaramillo is a classy seafood place that’s next to VIP apartments and Carulla supermarket is just a block away. Fred was always ready to help and can put you in touch if you need entertainment for the night.

Jose Alvana is a driver for Suites Real 85 that you can use. You can usually spot him in a lobby waiting for clients. He is an older gentleman, punctual and easy to work with. Negotiate your hourly or daily rate beforehand. He can take you to the airport, places of interest or any entertainment place you wish. Have the address ready since he might not know every single one of them. He speaks Spanish only. His prices will be higher then a cab, but you will get a personal service and piece of mind if a trustworthy person picks you up after a night out in Santa Fe. If you need someone with fluent English then William Serna (the Kangaroo Man) 1 57 [blue][Telephone Number deleted by Admin][/blue] is a good choice. He will charge more then Jose, but he is younger with a newer car and he will be willing to escort you in Santa Fe area if you so desire. Always negotiate hourly or daily rate up front. He can also set up with drivers who speak little or no English and will charge less. In my opinion if you are an intoxicated westerner taking a cab on the street in Santa Fe area in the middle of the night you are pushing your luck hard. Paying 40-50K for a driver that you can trust to drive you around that night is a small price for safety.

Recently, I met this cab driver interested in the hobby, who talked to me about a place I hadn't heard of.

Most reports are either centered in the Santa Fe area (Piscina, Atunes, etc.), or in a vast piece of the city generally known as the north, ranging from 106 street massage parlors, to fifty-something chapinero area casas.

Well, my friends, this should be something interesting for those of you who are fond of adventure.

The south side of town apparently has its own share of fun. Primero de Mayo, for example, is the zona rosa of Bogota's working class. Rumor has it that Fresita and Barbie, Piscina's absolute stars, end their stripper shifts and leave to party until dawn in different joints in this area.

The mention of Conrado's as the south's own Piscina, makes me wonder if someone has already been there, and if so, it it's worth the apparent risk of going beyond everyone's known boundaries.

Best/Fave club, brothel. Clean, safe, hot girls. Normal stuff. A good bang for you buck!

Cheers! [/QUOTE]I took a ride down to Conrado b/c a few people mentioned it. Got down there, well, well south of Santa Fe (maybe 10-15 mins). Got there and there was only one strip club! I asked the taxi driver if there was anything else, and he said not really.

There were some other bars there. Maybe he was just fucking with me, but I didn't see any place worth going to.

I honestly don't give a fuck about safety b/c I can pass and speak enough speanish but I was hammered that night and didn't care about an extra 20k cop on taxi's to maybe see a newer spot. Didn't work out for me that night, but heyyyyyy. It's all part of the fun!

It's funny to think of people worrying about going to Conrado's (it is just the one club btw) as a safety risk, but not worrying about Santa Fe, where it is MUCH more dangerous.

I've never been there myself (let's just say I know that familia politica goes there) but I hear it's good.
