2 years ago, Atlantis charged 10% to change a large amount (2000 pesos) into 20 peso notes. Assuming it is still the same? The manager said it was because the banks started to charge the club due to the huge amounts of 20 peso bills the club requested. I guess that's why I see some Koreans bring in their own bags of 20 peso bills. They also throw stuffed animals which are popular. Chocolates are also popular.
Atlantis won't charge you if you just want 100 pesos changed. Note sure about 500 pesos. Did StudBucket count his change? I only found out about the 10% charge for the 2000 peso because I counted the change. The waitress didn't mention anything about the surcharge.
Some of the smaller clubs either said no or they would only change a few hundred pesos. It seems fun to make it rain, but I'm on a budget. But I do like to stuff pesos down their bikinis and get a feel.
If I wanted a lot of 20 peso bills, I would ask my hotel. You have might have to ask a few days in advance if you want a lot of it. Another option would be to go to the banks yourself, but you would need an account there.
Yeah, I figured they would take a cut. I remember a while back someone told me when he asked for 20 pesos notes, the club gave him these white vouchers instead and girls would be 10 pesos for each note. Don't think that lasted long. I have a regular drive that picks me up from Manila. Maybe I can seek his services to go to the bank for me. I was also thinking about asking my hotel as well. I've seen the receptionist sometimes have stacks of 20 peso notes all prebagged and looking like they were going to deliver it to a room.
