I do not like to contribute to cross-chat and argument, but I wanted to interject a 'Thank You' to those who have mentioned that they gained some useful knowledge from my reports. I am so gratified by this, brothers.

I have gote some very good informations on where to stay (decide on DREAM) and on all the other things.

But I am missing a good tip on where to go for a very good tailor? .

A am looking on a good and very reliable tailor to visit and get 2 or 3 suits made. I am not looking for the real cheep, but fotr the good value.

I konw this ist not the usual question for this forum, but maybe someone has a tip.

I am very pleased with my suits made by RAJAH tailors in Sukhumvit soi 4. He also has a very good reputation and uses very nice materials. His references are quite good as well. Not the cheapest, but one of the better ones, I think.

Actually, this subject has been broached many times on the forum. I second Raja's recommendation. Not the cheapest, but quality is good.

It's a remake of the 1999 Thai movie of the same name and directed by the Pang brothers who made the original, as well. A friend who has already caught this one says it's not as good as the original. The original is quite good. So, I'm keen to see this one.

He is getting up there in age so hopefully some more of his wealth will be distributed out in some form to the masses, especially to those people with thier young kids sitting on the sidewalks of Bkk begging. True, we won't have to have a telethon for him anytime soon. But, I don't think he's quite as well-healed as Forbes indicates.

I do agree with your sentiment. But, I doubt that wealth will suddenly start to trickle down to the masses, in the event of his demise. The son is one of the least cheritable people in the upper echelons of Thai society.

The Times story does make that point which is one of the reasons he is not on the Forbes list for his individual wealth or as an individual. However, beside his own personal stash, which is still a considerable sum, he does have some control over the trust. You're probably right though, most of that money will not be distributed anytime soon to the people who need it the most.
