I was is Spb in April, here is a little feedback.

I tried independents who speak English on Rusdosug.

The one I went to actually spoke very correct English despite having only "1 star" for this skill.

Nice apartment, good performance.

I think you can trust comments on this site to know if it is worth it or not.

I recommend this approach.

I also tried salons. My experience here is that you should be prepared to be disappointed. Photos are heavily photoshopped and the lower the price, the higher the chances the girl will not look at all like the pics. If you dig a little on internet, you can find pics of girls at Ray with the face: prepare for a shock. I don't advise salons below 4000/ hour. The other annoying thing is that the schedule is often finalized at the last minute and that only very few girls will actually be available. I suppose it is done on purpose to attract customers. Finally in a salon most girls will not speak English, which is less fun during the act, and can be avoided with independents on Rusdosug.

Apart from that, salons have more availability and have a fun side (the brothel atmosphere, the abandoned stairways to access them.) There is also always someone who will speak a little English.

In all cases always use internet to find a salon or an individual, call in advance and ask for precise instructions (an address is not enough: ask where to ring, what to say on the intercom, which floor) if you have this information you will be fine.

Another member was asking me some questions by PM about my posts from around 2014 that things were getting worse in Russia. I thought why not share with everybody for our mutual benefit and organizational memory and learning.

I only go to Russia about once a year now, so I can't say I follow the situation closely. But I feel I know the place well enough and go there often enough to have a reasonably good feel of the overall direction of developments. Unfortunately I don't think things have changed since 2014. Either they are about the same (due the economic downturn caused by sanctions and the oil price collapse) stopping the mongering situation from getting totally bad, or the mongering has continued the same downward trajectory because Russia has actually managed to pull through the crisis reasonably well.

Yes you definitely get cold ones in Russia too. No kissing, no BBBJ, listerine on your nipples, upselling, etc. That has always been the case but it has become more frequent.

This whole thing about soul depends on how you define it. Only parts of what people think about as Russian "soul" are really long-term cultural. Part is that orthodox culture is similar to Catholic, so if one comes from a non-Catholic country that adds some soul straight away. Another part of "soul" of Russian girls is about the lack of men after World War II, and then maintained by heavy drinking, smoking and risk-taking which assured a continuing deficit of Russian men. That affected gender roles and ideas about women needing to grab a man if she had a chance. But now Russia is part of a globalized world and Russian women know they can have men from all over, so there is no deficit anymore (and also Russian men are taking a bit better care of themselves) and this is increasingly reflected in their culture / soul / attitudes. Whatever you want to call it.

And another Russian trait is that they can can also be more brusque than others in their rejections, like a Soviet shopkeeper.

Another important development is that truly beautiful or super-cute working girls are further apart. There are still some, but it is not shooting fish in a barrel like it used to be.

The post-Soviet period had some special characteristics, but those are not so relevant anymore. We are now in another era. Russians are well travelled, foreigners are not really exotic anymore, there are not so many poor people etc. This is especially true in the biggest cities. In rural locations it may not be so true, but there there are other barriers, especially if one wants to do efficient rapid-fire mongering like me. If you are looking for a nice wife and have the time and patience to go to the provinces I expect the chances of success would still be reasonably good.

If you have to have white girls, Russia is probably still one of the better places (perhaps along with Germany). One advantage is that when you do find a good one, they do know how to make Love / have sophisticated sex, unlike girls in SEA. But apart from those two points, it is not a particularly great mongering destination anymore.

There are hot girls all over the place, in Moscow, if you have any game and a decent budget, it is a great place. Much better looking girls in Moscow then St. Pet, not even close.

Correct about, not many saloons in Moscow at least for foreigners.
