True, Thailand (as well as Europe) prices for the same car typically will be 2 to 3 times the cost of the US based price, however I was under the impression the 530i had been out of production for years, and thus its price in Thailand would now likely be in the $60, 000 range for one perhaps 7 to 10 years old.
When bought new (or the equivalent new model) , yes, its price in Thailand or Norway could well be $200, 000, and he's only mentioning the new price, therefore he is in fact accurate.

Some comments on girl drinks. Its a good idea to understand the rules at each bar. Sometimes the girl must sell a quota of drinks for the month or face fines for not doing so, we which could eat into her salary seriously. So she really needs the girl drinks badly. She may well wish to drink a beer, but be forced to order a girl-drink coke or similar. On occasions I have ordered no drinks myself, or ordered a beer and let the girl drink it, and helped the girls to drink the girl drinks purely for quota reasons (and I did not wish to drink alcohol anyway).
When there are no quote fines, then can find out secretly if the girl would rather get a cash tip instead of the girl drink commission, but cannot be too obvious with this scheme. I never buy ping pong balls to throw at girls, as the bar makes half the money. Its better to give cash tips to the girls. Girl drinks are even worse with girl typically making much less than half the steepish girl drink cost.
In the end I need to spend a reasonable amount on drinks so that the bar will value my custom and give me the best possible service. However be careful. If you are too generous, you get far too many people hanging around you waiting for drinks. You need to be selective as to which staff to buy drinks for or tip. Guys that sit on a drink for a long time are just a waste of space to the bar. So the customer should keep buying another drink at reasonable intervals, be it for himself or the girls. The entertainment of girls dancing and doing shows etc, not to mention unnecessary staff who are not that useful, is paid for by the drinks, so no need to be too stingy.

If the Lady is found to be taking money so the customer avoids the price of a lady drink I would think the lady may be in trouble as the establishment is losing money.

You and I seem to be on the same wavelength. Philosophically speaking, no woman (including wives and GFs) comes free. The question is really. Where the costs are for what do we incur them. I follow simple principle:
1. Variety.
2. Extreme beauty (sadly, can't live without it)
Combining the two results in the need to go beyond the usual P4P into a "make-believe" land of GFE. I say "make-believe" because for a person coming to BKK of 5-10 days once in a blue moon, a true GFE is hardly an option. So, in addition to usual Go-Gos, G-clubs, and soapies, I prefer to have an option of non-pro or free lancer to accompany me (some English is a must). The question is. Where is best to procure this. Clubs like Insomnia (for non-pros / freelancers) , soapies (to collect phone numbers, as you suggest) , G-clubs, or all of the above?
I'm certainly open to try.

I will be in BKK for about 2 wks. I have 3 options:
1. Enjoy BKK in depth
2. Have an incursion to Pattaya.
3. Have an incursion to Angeles City in Philipines.
Some tell me that there is nothing much in AC that BKK can't offer, particularly in terms of slim, young model-looking girls. Yet, others say that it is worth shortening the BKK experience for a trip to Pattaya or AC.
I wonder what the respectable members of this forum think on the subject. Many thanks in advance for your opinions!

Making a long story short about cars. Just last year there were a number of reports about the Thai customs and how many millions they have lost due to the corruption of their own agents turning their heads when it came to imported cars especially the Benz and BMW.
If the vehicle isn't made like 51% in Thailand you are going to get a jump like 40% on the price of the car? In Pattaya, you have a number of show rooms open with these imports and certainly I have seen a jump in people driving them around. I envy those that can afford them and give them a thumbs up but I have also heard just like Big bikes imported that they have a hard time getting parts and service? Even with the crackdown or most likely just a show in the news that they might be doing something, things don't seem to be slowing down for these cars especially in Pattaya. Story after story I'm told you better know a guy in the black market to help you unless you can pay the full prices of importing?
Last year I saw a Lexus, which is made in Japan on the show floor at Central Festival for 4. 2 million baht, the Mini Coup four door was something like 4 million baht too. My budget, I guess I will have to keep on dreaming in my Toyota Honda scooter.
Seeing as how every body is different I suggest you pick 2 and go from there. Then make a second trip later and pick the one you liked best and add the third option to see the difference. You should have a good time in all3 but will end up with a preference. I personally prefer Bangkok, but it is more expensive than the other 2 and that is a consideration.
McDonald's next to Robinson's which is next to Westin Hotel. I've scored twice with Uni girls from there. Eye contact.

But as to Thailand, I'd say go to Bangkok AND Pattaya. Nice as Bangkok is, I cannot stand it for more than a week at a time. Too busy, too hot, too much people. Great mongering opportunities though.
Pattaya is so much different, you have to experience it to believe it. Still it is busy and hot too and the beach is not so nice. I booked a room in nearby Jomtien which is much more calm and has a nicer beach. And it is only a short baht-bus ride away from the Pattaya "candy store".

And you expect us to somehow believe your post? Look I don't know what you experienced on your visit but I was there 2 weeks ago and was treated with courtesy and respect. I'm pretty sure I met the guy you're talking about. He wasn't impolite and abusive to me or the other customer that sat there talking to him for a long time as I sat at the bar and had a few drinks. I also had a good experience across the street at the BJ joint.
I'm going to err on the side of caution and guess that you have some kind of vendetta working here. And if you're getting your postes deleted here for being abusive I can only imagine what might have transpired at Nuru.

"Money #1" as they say.
Now with G club girls there is a different issue that can arise, as most are looking for (wealthy Thai) boyfriends or ongoing sponsors, and if you're not a member nor in Bangkok on a fairly routine basis, they're not usually going to waste their time.
