The reason I responded is I struggle with the same issue every trip. 2 hours to New Orleans Or 4 hours to Houston. The minimal savings is not woth being on the road for that long, especially on the return trip. JMHO.

And as a professional driver (fuel trucks / party buses) $20+ a HR for driving is pretty good. Just can't decide if I want to save even more and take the bike to MIA. That'll save me the parking $ and use less gas.

As I write this I'm sitting next to a webcam girl in a Poblado high-rise. She looks just as good in person as on cam. The apartment is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom in a nice estrato 6 area. In just a few minutes I'll be having lunch with another webcam girl, same situation. Both grew up in middle to upper middle class families, both are well educated and both realize this is their highest earning potential at this time.

However, neither would go to a room with you or me, for any price. Why risk it when they make more in 4 hours than your example makes in 2 weeks?

In all things, there are different classes. While her body might make her look great, in Colombia her social class is what she will always be judged on. The people she works for exploit that. They pay her estrato 2 wages because they know she will accept it.

With training, a good workspace and the right equipment, she could work 10 hours per week and make at least double what she makes now.

Some of my friends here are webcam models. One of them happens to be my roommate. We were sitting and waiting for some other friends, one of which is also a webcam model. They arrived and we all hopped in a Uber for a short trip to a nearby restaurant for comida tipica. After a good lunch we took a short walk.

One friend had something to do, where I will be working, so him and I went to the office while the girls took off to do their own thing. What he was involved in took 3 hours. Even though I could understand only a little of what was being said, I enjoyed hanging out with a bunch of hot webcam girls.

They were all nice, normal women, who had come from their various homes to participate in the same thing I was hanging out and watching. One theme that kept being repeated was that they were not prostitutes.

This is nothing against prostitution. The webcam discussion started because of the assumption that all the webcam models, and there are several thousand in Medellin, are available for a price. Certainly there are some who use the webcam to advertise the other services, but there are many who would never consider prostitution. We could go over the old argument that it's all the same, but it isn't to them.

As for being confined, none of them are confined. They go where they want, when they want and do what they want, with whoever they want. One that I met today just returned from Italy, another just got back from a trip to the US. Two others are getting ready to travel.

The risks I'm talking about are the various risks associated with prostitution. There's disease, pregnancy, the risk of violence, even the risk of death. Inviting a stranger into your home can be dangerous. Going to a stranger's home can be dangerous.
