You seem to have misunderstood my intentions, though. - Not that I can blame you: We had a bit of a scruff a couple of years back about price-quality in IST mongering and I suppose you assume I´m looking for budget solutions. Well... In actual fact, I´m looking for in-my-neighbourhood solutions. I love to hang out in the local bars, find a girl and then WALK back to my hotel. - The way they do it in SE Asia and much of Latin America.

I´ll go on looking for a nice GF hotel within 10 minutes walk from Mustapha Kemal Cad. I can´t expect people from the "big, car-loving nations" to understand this, but... having to take a taxi for 15-30 minutes back to the hotel just doesn´t feel right to me. :-(

Everything depends on mongers budget, mood and personal preferences.

I always prefer to use my house for mongering but time to time I need to use hotel. When it is necessary, my first choice is Hilton Istanbul, than Nippon at Talimhane, than Dedeman in Gayrettepe and lastly Taslik in Macka.

If you prefer to hang out at Aksaray, very few of the girls accept to come to your house or hotel. Firstly security secondly pimp rules,thats why they use close hotels which are also controlled by these guys.

Even if I have limited budget and visiting the city, I don’t prefer to stay at Aksaray, Beyazit and Laleli hotels. I don’t feel comfortable at those neighborhoods at night. Some of the hotels in Sultanahmet and Siraserviler don’t allow you to take your nightly GF at your room.

I find 200$ or 200 Euro for 2-3 hours is reasonable, some other friends may find it expensive. All depend on what you are looking and the quality of the service. I have not been mongering at Aksaray for a looong time. I prefer independents and mamushka girls. 150-200$ is the normal market price due to the low exchange rate of USD and arising depend on quality girls.
