I'll qualify my earlier post by saying:

It was a long time ago. Probably close to 10 years now and I haven't been back since. From recent posts, AC seems to have changed considerably since then.

It was at the tail end of the night so the girls were imports from other bars and everyone was pretty well lubricated by the time we arrived at HiSo.

My buddy and I were in full Expats Run Wild mode then so the cash and drinks were flowing freely. I remember feeding the security guards a steady stream of 500 p notes to smooth the water. This made their attitude totally different to what you mentioned above. They were keeping freeloader punters away from us and even providing private bodyguard services to the pisser whenever bladders were full. We were also treated like rock stars when we returned on subsequent nights.

Could be wrong, but I think my first time in AC was maybe 9 years ago and Sky Trax was the disco to go to. It was like that my first few times there. Then this new exciting place called High Society opened. It was all glamorous with bright lights all over the place. (Everybody stopped going to Sky Trax.) Stayed that way for my next couple of trips, then I went back to AC and they had remodeled the place into its present piece of shit form, leaving that entire left side dark and gloomy.

To me not much has changed in AC since my first time there. The main difference is that the bars on blow row were decent to get a chick and you could fuck there on site. Everybody always thinks the stories are BS. In Thailand you will encounter chicks that have to bring the key to their friend. This is not just an excuse. A gogo chick that I was messing with for free a couple of months ago lives in a 3 bedroom house. There are 3 of them that live there but for some reason they only have 2 keys.
