Also after 2 yrs, she's Americanized, and no longer the sweet Latina she was in the DR. As Bravo stated, be there for him when the sh*t hits the fan.

There is nothing that is going to change your brother's mind about marrying that chica short of financial ruin trying to support her and her kids.

This is what most guys fail to realize: the benefit of chicas being your long distance girlfriend is receiving regular Western Union money transfers while at the same time not having to see your ass everyday. Dudes get the thought in their head that "If I marry her and move her to the states with me, then she won't need anymore money from me because I will be taking care of her!" Esentially asking a woman who is used to getting money on a regular basis from selling ass AND Western Union to now just sit on her ass, be broke, and pop out kids for you as a married woman.

I assume he realizes that an uneducated chick from a 3rd world country is NOT going to find any work in the US other than reverting back to selling ass again, LOL.

It probably depends on where you live. For example a young Haitian woman I know in Florida started work 2-3 years ago as a trainee bakery assistant in a Publix supermarket and is now the assistant manager for customer relations, has obtained a GED and is doing college courses in book-keeping. There are a lot of quite well paid jobs in supermarkets where you can start out very low and advance quickly if you are a diligent employee.

There is also plenty of demand for child care assistants, babysitters, etc. And it is possible to run a flea market business selling clothes, etc. , make money selling Avon, Princess House, etc. If the young woman is attractive to look at and flirtatious there are all kinds of sales and promotion jobs. And then there is the whole field of waitressing, where again she might earn good tips if attractive, and working in fast food service, hospital food service, etc. Where jobs can be had that don't need a high school diploma.

It is true that she is probably not going to get a job at Microsoft or Google or a government job, but there are many alternatives.

If this 3rd world chica doesn't have those two qualities, then she will never have a decent job in America. Unfortunately, so many people from other countries think that America has money growing on trees. They don't understand that we work HARD for everything we have.

I have worked with some illegal aliens who could work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make money. However, I have yet to meet a "former" working girl who has that kind of fortitude. Once they get used to making 2 K for 10 minutes of "Dami leche poppi" the idea of working 10-12 hours a day seems like torture.

You're not asking for advice here, but you'll get plenty anyway (it's the nature of this board).

First, I don't recognize her and I'm familiar with a lot of regulars on the strip, but there are so many chicas coming in every week that she could be really active there and we'd never know it, just by the luck of the draw. For that info you need a contact in town who knows what's going on. They are not hard to find.

I too am close to a Dominicana, spend a lot of quality one on one time with her, and have fantasized about what it would be like to settle down with her.

From my experience I only have seen the following situations work out.

If you already live down there, are really familiar with the culture, and take a local wife.

If you are Dominican-American, live in the States and bring her back into a Dominican-American cultural lifestyle, family and friends, so she doesn't feel isolated from language, food, family, friends etc.

Other than those two situations, a cross cultural relationship is unlikely to last, especially if she's a lot younger (those young chicas get bored very easily) but I can see a guy who thinks he has found his dream girl won't be thinking about all the negative stuff, and may go for it for as long as it lasts. It happens all the time, usually with the same ending.

Maybe, as they say, it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all?

All you can do is go on record and point this stuff out, and support him anyway when he tells you its not your business, or you don't understand. Unless he's too young, it's his life after all.

I'll be back in Sosua in December of this year. I visited Sosua in December 2013 and May 2014, and both times I stayed at the Sea Breeze hotels. The first time was at the recommendation of Cuba Dave. However, I found that I liked the friendly tourist groups that congregate at Sea Breeze. Also, the hotel staff has done right be me on both visits. The fixtures are old and the cleaning crew could do a better job, but once I'm liquored up it matters less to me; I stay liquored up for most of my time in Sosua. Frankly, I spend very little time in my room.

Sea Breeze is 40 USD / night. It has a decent bar with pleasant staff. I know the owner and the long time bartenders, and it's very familiar to me at this point. When I look around, I find very few hotels at the same price point w / equal amenities. For better amenities it appears that I need to spend 60 USD-80 USD per night.

What's the consensus out there? Is there a hidden jewel out there that I'm missing with cleaner rooms and friendlier staff, for 40 USD / night?

I was talking to a dominican woman who lived in NY and she explained to me that she didn't American Black people had a sense of community. She said "As soon as you guys get money, you move away from everybody and everything you know. No wonder you have no sense of community!" So if we marry a dominicana and mover her out to the burbs, of course she is going to hate it.

Everyone here should know that Dominicanas have an extreme loyalty to the Dominicano and the Dominican culture. In a way they have been brainwashed to believe nothing else matters. Therefore you are always in competition with that and it's an uphill battle. I truly believe that they think it's their duty to fuck a Dominicano even if they are married to a foreigner. The Dominicano is king to her and to not interact with him would be selling out her culture in her mind.

Now take the Asians; they have loyalty to culture but are also allowed to think outside the box if presented with an opportunity to better themselves. They are also more traditional and understand that a wife has to be loyal, cook, and take care of her household first with her foreign husband. She won't risk a good thing to be loyal to her culture. Why do Fillipinas come to America with there foreign husbands and have strong relationships as they relocate but the Dominicana can't?

The Colombianas appear to adapt well to relocating as long as you can keep the finances up, when the lifestyle takes a dive they are gone to someone who can keep her at a certain status. I can respect that because they are willing be good wives but they have standards. Whereas the Dominicana can be in Canada with a house with a pool and BMW and give it all up to go back to the DR and hangout at el flow.

The Haitians (I've dated a few here in the States) are also a good choice for wife material because they love their culture but are independent thinkers. They are some of the best fuckers and real people but once you try to duck them over its hell to pay. My ex wanted marriage and kids and I didn't so I told her maybe she should move on. She married a white doctor and has twin girls and I'm happy for her. I told her I was just keeping her warm until he came. This guy has a good wife and family.

Cuba has a strong culture also where sex and romance is alive, so you are always competing with the Cubano and the culture.

It's okay for a girl to be loyal to her culture but if she can't appreciate the good things a foreign husband is offering because of loyalty to her culture and her country men, you might have big problems.

I have not seen the dominicano loyalty you speak of. Poverty trumps all that stuff. Dominican men impregnate and skate. The option of not being tired and hungry is a no brainer.

Explain how a Dominican mother cooks three meals for her grown son living at home that doesn't work and doesn't take care of his six kids? Explain how a Chica can fuck tourists for money and give the money to her Dominican boyfriend? If you can't understand this is loyalty, you just don't want to believe what is obvious.
