I took a walk along Beach Road this morning about 11:20.

Some FL's hanging out opposite Mike shopping center.

Mostly older types, spotted one decent spinner, girl.

I was impressed that options were available at the early time.

Went into central and flirted with several retail girls and managed to get line ID's.

Here is a pretty good plan for Walking Street:

1) Start the night at Hot Tuna Bar (or another live music club) to get into party mood.

2) Go to some go-go bar to let young gyrating semi-naked flesh fill up your field of vision and your mind.

I went to Happy, but it wasn't great, maybe choose another warm-up go-go.

3) Go to another go-go bar and mentally commit to offering a lady drink.

Personally, I always try to pay what I think is fair for the girl, based on several factors, her overall quality (stunners get more than ugly girls), how hard she tried to please, the amount of time, etc. "One price fits all" model is not reasonable in my view. This is an important lesson indeed. I had similar experiences with overtipping. Next time, often they won't outright refuse, but are disappointed to receive only the going rate (or a smaller tip). I truly dislike that type of situation, especially if a girl has done and OK job, but I just don't feel like giving an oversized tip again.

These days, even if I actually want to tip the girl a significant amount, if I'm planning to see her again I restrain myself to avoid future disappointment. She might get a more sizable tip on a subsequent visit (clearly separated from the same amount, and sometimes I even say "this is a gift for today, but the rate is still X next time, ok?"). However, the first session sets the expectation/baseline, so it's always the going rate plus 100-200 baht.

Don't know about the experience of others, but it virtually never happened to me to get better service when I paid more than the market rate, quite the opposite. If a punter agrees to a price above the market rate, the girl often sees him as a chump and is encouraged to try her luck to see what else she can get away with.

However, don't push too far down either -- some girls, if desperate enough, would agree to go under the market rate, but grumble and feel bad about it (could be a bit of a face / self-confidence hit as well, being a 500-baht working girl instead of a 700-baht one). Don't know if they would have been a dud anyway, never repeated one of those.

I've been to my favorite disco 28 times in the last 11 months and there are only 3 girls I would overpay for out of the thousands of girls that walk through the door. I would only pay above market for 9-10. I would pay a maximum of 50% more to the top 5% of freelancers. Just like a sports franchise owner I am only paying a premium to surefire first ballot hall of fames with championship pedigree who puts fans in the seats and eyes glued to the TV. 1 of the 3 girls like to socialize and drink and typically doesn't give any action since she has a family. I saw my Soi 6 friend with my #1 overall choice and thought Oh my damn! Maybe I can get at her sideways by arranging a 3 some. No go! Nancy doesn't like girls. I admit I would be at a disadvantage because their personalities could change like chameleon once hired and I have no idea what the performance would be like. I could be hiring a hot starfish.

Thanks for your responses to my recent post. One issue I am concerned about are punters reporting that they never agree on a price beforehand. I have been burnt before by doing this, and for all transactions, mongering and non-mongering I will now always negotiate a price beforehand. This saves major dramas later.

As just one example, I took this girl in Nairobi out from Madhouse overnight and didn't talk price beforehand. I had just read about what the price for LT should be on the forum beforehand and decided that this was what I would give her. Well, next morning I had major problems with her accepting my payment. She complained, said she had a lot of financial problems, blah blah blah, and wouldn't leave the room. I stood my ground however and eventually she left after about an hour. Lesson: Why put up with this kind of sh*t when all of this could have been sorted out with a prior negotiation.

Also, I was in Madagascar a few years ago and overheard a conversation from a Madagascan guy who owned a hotel in Diego. He used to partake in the ladies quite often and he said to "Always, always, always, talk about the price (for their services) beforehand". He had obviously been burnt before. And this was a local guy not some naive tourist punter.

IMO, If you don't agree on a price beforehand, you leave yourself vulnerable to overcharging. The service has already been provided to you. So you are then at the mercy of their quote, and a potentially difficult and nasty negotiation.

It is clear that punters who do not negotiate beforehand (and do not have any dramas) are always paying market rates, or above. Why leave yourself at the mercy of being overcharged? I don't want to be taken advantage of, so I always negotiate. Prior non-negotiation may not be such a big problem in Thailand, but could be more so in other destinations where the populace is more desperate.

And with regard to my previous comments about overpaying, I am not saying that a 2000 baht gogo girl is overpaying compared to a 700 baht Beach Road girl. If 2000 baht is the market price for a gogo girl (I don't know as I never use them), then that is acceptable in my book. I am making reference to other postings such as a recent one where one member reported that he had to wait for a gogo girl of his choice to go with a Japanese guy, before he could go with her. It was reported that the Japanese guy paid 5000 baht ST (WTF). Now this is what I mean by overpaying. So, what if the Japanese guy suddenly wises up and next time wants to pay the "market" price of 2000 baht (for example) for the same girl? What will the girl say to him then: "Oh, no problem honey, I lub you long time". Well, I don't think she will be that generous.

[/QUOTE]We pay afterwards, a lot of the time. I have had plenty of girls that improved with repeat occasions. One free lancer is a classic example. On first session, she expected me to be the normal shit of a Cheap Charlie customer, and gave me okay Service but nothing that special. I paid her well. She was surprised. I did not need to pay her that extra tip if I never intended to repeat her. Since then she has always been keen to see me and giving me a great service GFE. She enjoys the session and has been getting up to 3 pops. Nothing like how she treated me the first time, when did not yet like me, and treated me just like any other average customer. However she has the expectation that I will pay a little more than normal, since we go at least 90 minutes, where freelancers typically expect a 30 minute or so session.

So I believe if you pay very low, you don't get any special effort, or any special GFE. Like BKK Dog says, if you just want a piece of meat, or mechanical fuck, so be it.

Out on the street, it is easy to be a Prince among the Frogs, by showing a good attitude to the girls, and paying them fairly for the time and effort they put in. I don't look like Brad Pitt of course, but not too horrible looking. Good condition for my age. LOL

I recall others posting that they agree with me that to get the best from freelancers, you typically have to cultivate the relationship over time. Sure on the other hand if you choose the wrong bad attitude girl, she will try to con you and rip you off. However good girls can respond in the right way to treating them well. If we start with the assumption that all girls are bad and will try to rip us off, might as well give the whole game away. Picking the right girl is the key. Try to evaluate the so called "chemistry" or just get lucky.

I think if a guy treats a girl poorly from the start, he will automatically find all the girls do not warm to him and do not start to give better GFE service. Start with a negative attitude, and you are bound to get a lot of negative results. Only a percentage of girls are always good or always bad. With a lot of girls YMMV, so motivate them to be good, get them relaxed and in fun mode, is my aim.

Plenty of times I did not negotiate a price up front. Still do it. Not a big concern for me. Its a good indicator the girl will not be really crap, because if she is, I can pay her as little as I feel like. That is a great advantage in my mind. She can be pissed off. I don't care if never want to see her again. In practice girls that do not negotiate, are rarely crappy. Can't remember when it happened. They are confident that I will like the session, and will pay accordingly.

If she demands a higher amount than what you intended or normally pay, you really only have to pay it, if you want to keep repeating her for that higher price, in other words if she is worth it, otherwise just stick to your "fair" price if you have one. So I on occasion paid a little more, only because I really wanted to keep doing her and wanted to come to me any time she sees me, instead of rush to some other customer. I refer to popular girls here, girls that get a customer so easily, they can be choosy. The top two or three girls in a bar typically do have any struggle to get customers.

Treating a girl right and building chemistry is not just about how we pay them, of course. It is just an aspect. Sometimes an MP booking goes for a long time maybe two hours. There is time to joke around with a girl at the start of the session and try show some respect and interest in her to get her into a good frame of mine, before the fucking starts. Sometimes the girl can be wildcat horny if things go exceptionally well, or very lovey dovey has been known to happen. My last Billboard girl was so lovey dovey after a few drinks, I was really surprised, and knew a good session on the bed was coming. We did not negotiate a price up front from memory. You see this purely as a business transaction and nothing more. Where others see it as a relationship in some way. We build a good relationship with the ladies and then it is much easier to deal with paying and so on. Often this relationship is rewarded in the bedroom. Some punters have built up a stable of regular providers because of the relationship they have with them and they don't encounter many of the problems you have. If you treat the ladies as just a piece of meat, they will treat you just like a trick, John, or walking ATM.

I will give you a good example. 2 years ago I was forced into spending my birthday alone in Bangkok. My girlfriend at the time was working late. I ended up at Angel Witch in Nana Plaza. I bar fined a beautiful girl with natural D cups with a gorgeous body and face. I told her I wanted to go for a few drinks and some food before heading back to my place. I took her to a rooftop bar on Soi 11. We had 1 cocktail each and shared a piece of chocolate cake and Cream brulet. Judging from the prices you pay as per your posts, you probably wouldn't pay the girl a fair price for LT. What do you think a fair price is for LT?

In Thailand the girls know when you are giving them a fair rate and will not make waves about that. In Africa the chick probably took one look at you and knew you were going to give her well above the fair rate. When that didn't happen she made waves. What did she have to lose? Before going to Nigeria I read up on ISG about the rates. Posters stressed do not give more than whatever amount. When I finished with a chick I gave her that amount and I encountered the same scenario that you did. The chick stayed about an hour more shedding big crocodile tears telling me to give her more. That was falling on deaf ears so she finally threatened to go get security. I told her to go ahead. Who did she think they were going to side with. She finally left and that was the end.

She had better luck than the girl that went with my coworker though. The next day I asked him how much he had given the girl and he said nothing. When they got to the room she ordered a $20 bowl of soup that he was going to have to pay for. So I would say that it all depends on where you are as to whether you discuss the price beforehand. Of course you can never go wrong doing so. I have read many reports on ISG of guys that give chicks way more than I ever would and they say they do not talk about price because it kills the vibe for them. I guess if you already have it in your head to give 3000 to 5000 baht then there would be no need to discuss it. But if you are a 1000 to 1200 baht guy like me then you may want to reconsider; although I have never had a problem with a girl after giving this rate for LT in Pattaya and many times they are eager to come back.
