I'll be making my first trip to Merida in September. I've read the forums but most of the intel is a bit dated.
Any updates on the fun in Merida? Is Calle 58 between 70 and 73 the best option? Is it generally safe? Does Merida have a strip club scene, hopefully of the Tijuana variety? Would I be better off to drive to Playa del Carmen for a few days of fun than to hang out in Merida?

The same calles are still hopping, the same clubs in Kanasin are there, and a taxi driver will take you to a casa de cita. Lots of girls walk the centro streets as well.
It's not Tijuana, but you're better off than you would be in Cancun or Playa, where you'll pay four times as much. And have some trouble finding it.
Merida is a sleepy-looking town, but it's sophisticated, and everyone knows their pleasures. You can find yours there too.
Do your homework on this site, and report back!
Thanks Grayshorter and DirtDog. I will make my way to Merida. Last time taxi took me to ugly chick place so he could get a cut. Prefer to avoid taxis if possible. The key is though I need something to be open during day because I have to get back to my ship. This is my shore excursion.
Has anyone been to Tulum and had any luck with strip clubs / brothels. Read back quite a ways and hoping to find some action when I am there in Sept.

Plus 1 more on the north end but south of the coba road on the west side of the federal road.
These are only open at night. I believe.
There are girls that work in tulum away from family in playa and Cancun, so there are usually some hotties, but keep in mind September is called "sept hambre" because it is "slow".
Let me know when you are there, maybe I can drive down and explore.

I left the Philipines and have been wishing I was back there, until I went to Pussy cats tonight at 10 pm. Met I cutie that said she was 23. After some more conversation, it gets even better, she pulls me out and starts giving me a hand job! A rough one but still a hand job. I tell her to be gentle and then she says let's go to the private dance area for 200 pesos. It was well with it.
After we returned to the table I order her another drink and after she finished that drink I told her I had to go and she had to go change to dance. I was a happy man. Total damage was $500 for her drinks, my 4 beers and an additional $200 for the privado and I tipped the waiter $50 and the doorman $ 50 for watching my dog. Then I walked home a happy man and so was my dog. Of course YMMV.
Hey all. Haven't been in area for a while but Los Globos is located near the hotel paradise across from airport runway. It's just before the first roundabout off the road that continues from Highway 146 after it splits to insurgientes. I believe it's Obregon. Los globos opened and closed a few times so it may be hit or miss. Going to have to learn the names of the places as I know most of them just by location. Seems like have to get to Los Arricefes. As I don't believe I've been there.

Los Globos is the building east of Paradise hotel. Has the arched windows with the burnt orange arches painted on it or at least that's the building I went into as Los Globos.

Thanks To Skyman for updating the Los Globos info in Chetumal. If anyone requests, I'll repost the whole list of clubs in Chetumal, with some additions and corrections.
Does anyone have experience with girls found online in Playa, Tulum, Chetumal, etc? What are the best classified sites to check? I have a few to contribute. Let's grow the list:

And of course there are antros, clubs and bars that are open afterhours. These are often strip clubs, but sometimes are just clubs with lots of girls, shady characters, club kids, drug dealers, and generally noisy types. Which is why they get closed down so often.

I'm going to be back in Belize for a while later this year so I'm looking to share more info. How do we get someone to separate Chetumal into it's own forum. It deserves to be on it's own as it's has plenty of nightlife and, being so close to Belize, would expect to have a ton of interest. I'm pretty well versed in Belize, but there is much better diving in Chetumal that there's really no reason to dive in Belize. I'll give info to anyone who is interested just PM me.
So, go Chetumal and the heck with the rest of the Costa Maya!

I agree that Chetumal deserves its own forum. But PDC does too. The only way that will happen is if we all post more about these places, so much that the administrator decides to split out the forums. Chetumal should be one, Playa del Carmen should be one (maybe mixed any Maya Riviera or Tulum post) and Cancun should still be one.
Considering the sheer number of tourists visiting Quintana Roo, it would make sense for the board to split these areas out from Veracruz, etc. Tourism and oil are Mexico's biggest industries, and Quintana Roo is the number one tourist (and therefore monger) destination in the country.

Drove by at about 11pm tonight, and the lights were out. The Paradise Hotel looked dark too. I'll check it out again in a week, with an update on all of the clubs on my list.

I'm heading back to Cozumel and Costa Maya this November, and was hoping there might be some additional updated intel on Costa Maya (Chetumal) before I pack. Can you provide the rest of us with some insight on your experience there?

I ended up at a few places this week in Chetumal.
First of all, Arrecifes is the most comprehensive club in town. They always seem to have about 15 girls there, from all parts of Mexico. You can get a lot of mileage at your table. The private dances are 200, I think, but don't last long. And there are one hour privates that are much more expensive (1500?. But you'll have to tip your dancer quite a bit in addition to that).
At about 7 o'clock, all of the girls changed int o a skimpy uniform and danced onstage, followed by the waiters picking the girls up from the stage and depositing them on customers' tables and laps during two or three songs. Great looking girls of all types. 8's to 10's.
I also stopped at La Picuda on Veracruz. Nothing happening there. I might have been there too early. More of a bar where you will have company instead of a real stripclub. I'm used to strippers kissing me, offering their nipples and more at my table.
I stopped at Bar Milagros (on Juarez?) and met a couple of nice girls there. I got email and phone numbers to meet later, but haven't had time. This isn't a strip club, but is another companion bar.
Then I went to Capirote. And met the complete package. A very hot, obliging dancer who made out with me at my table. In the brief private time I had, she wanted to check out my package first hand, and I checked her out with my tongue and fingers. I need to go back there. Very reasonable prices.
That's all for now. I might post later about the couple of 18 year olds I spent time with in a hotel in Playa. Girls are a problem because of their inexperience, but they worked pretty hard and were very accomodating. And we all remember those bodies and how unconscious girls can be of how much we're into them.

I agree with others, PDC needs its own category. I just returned from Cozumel and enjoyed 2 days of playing in PDC. One note, of all the massage places on the main street, Oasis had a happy ending option. The laidies outside are very careful and for some reason will tell you no happy ending when your outside but they are quite obliging when you go upstairs! A good hotel to host at PDC is Illusions. Not an all inclusive so the cost is nice and its a clean hotel.
