The first and most important piece of advice I will give to you or any new comer is to negotiate everything before hand. Tell them what you want and ask them if they will do it and how much everything is going to cost. About 75% of the girls will be truthful with you.

I don’t try to get them to drop their prices from their original quotes since 100% of the fun your going to have is directly related to the girl’s attitude towards you. Thai’s are funny in one way, they fell if they got paid this much the last time then they should always get paid the same every time. And if they don’t get paid the same then they feel cheated. Some girls would rather sit at the bar all night and make nothing than drop their prices even a little, to avoid losing face with the other girls at the bar.

The bar fines for beer bars are 300 for short time and 600 for long time. The girl’s rates are 500 for short time and 1,000 for long time. Long time means they spend the day and night with you and leave in the morning.

As far as taking the girls out to other bars to eat, drink, watch football and have a good time most of them will really appreciate your effort to treat them as a friend you will be reward in many wonderful ways, hopefully. But, be careful, some of these girls really like to drink and get so drunk they are unable to perform the functions we pay them for.

All in all, you did not do so badly for a first timer. And now that you know the rules you will be able to have even more fun.

Other beer bars usually have one price (200/300 bath) independently if you take the girl for LT or ST.

The USUAL rates are the one you posted, but some girl could be asking/expecting more.

And what a LT means to the girls is not an exact sience!

In response to Bill Miami's warning about Thai girls drinking too much I have often wished to meet a Thai girl who will have a drink, the ones I have met usually just stick to orange or coke and when I have splashed out on a bottle of wine they usually just have a sip. I have tried to get a few Thai girls drunk to see if they are more game in bed but I have only succeeded once most are like the Chinese and avoid alcohol.

It happened to me once and never again. Lastly, is it easy to travel between the Soi 8 area and Walking Street?

Definitely stay on Soi 8. Only cost 10 B to catch ride down to Walking Street. There are a couple of good hotels right on Soi 8. I usually stay at Sunshine 1200-1600B but cheaper 850B at 2 hotels that run down street in front of Sunshine between Soi 7 and Soi 8. My mind is blank right now and do not have cards with me but one is a British place (Pig and Whistle?) and other is something like AFN. Can not miss if you just take road from front of Sunshine on Soi 8 to Soi 7. If you really need I can look up for you and send.
Soi 7 and 8 are right next to each other. There are several go go bars there. The one next to Beach road on Soi 7 has a jacuzzi show. Run by a younger mammasan from Bangkok that is real funny and lot of fun. Girl cost ST 1000 B plus bar fine 600B. The biggest problem with go go bars the bar fine is usually always 600B plus cost of girl plus drinks and if LT then add food cost. Then problem getting them to leave in morning. Always have an exit plan ie. "I need to leave for tour so leave." If not they want to keep you on string making money. Remember you are the ATM machine so you run the show. Also if you are wanting anything in particular agree in advance. Do not get to room and then get turned down for anything but straight sex.
Personally I think Walking Street is turning kind of boring and lots of ladyboys.
If you want something quick and easy hit Lollita's for a qucik BBBJ for 700B. They are located on street behind Mike's mall. For price kind of takes the urgency off you.
And for whatever it is worth part - always kiss the girl before you bar fine. I have found if there is no real response or passion it will be the same in the room.
Try to change your thinking from how you think back home. A lot of these girls are lucky to get a ST or LT 4-6 times in one month. The less effort you put into it the better you will do and less it will cost. Not like back home where you have to wine, dine, and beg to get anything.
