I have had a blast at BT in recent years and found some particularly lovely young ones at Tamuku -- but have been scared away for over a year by the drug cartel wars. What spooked me was a buddy who lives in Laredo and is of Mexican heritage (several generations in US, but quite fluent). He used to go at least every couple of weeks and had a regular he liked to see at Papagayos -- but now he says he won't go. Stories about cross-fire, etc. Locals are SPOOKED about crossing the border...
Give me some comfort here -- or some reality. I need a trip bad! But I plan to live to make many, many more... Many thanks.

Out of the last 7 weekends, I spent 6 in Mexico, 1 was Reynosa. 5 of those were NLBT. It's not nearly as bad as the news media makes it out to be.
I am going to be in NL tomorrow for the first time. Any other gringos going to be around? I will buy you a beer or three to show a newbie the ropes.

I have been to nlbt many times but I've never been to any of the downtown clubs. If one was to go on a friday night, would boystown or the downtown clubs be better? I assume there are no rooms at herradura or montera , what is the best hotel to go to in the area? I understand hobbying is illegal outside of BT so one be disreet I suppose. There are motels, by these clubs, girls can take you to for $10. Read all my previous post and you can get a lot of info.
Also there are a lot of post about BT from the mongers out there that are great also. Best hotel downtown by clubs to spend night, Fiesta $38, Matamorus $30. Clean, safe, girl friendly. Just don't walk with a girl down the street and you should be ok. If you take a girl to the motel, tell her where to meet you and go by yourself. Let her follow you a couple of min. later.

Do I need a passport to visit Mexico?
Until January 8th, 2007, U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico are required to present either a passport or two other forms of official identification. If you don't have a passport, your best bet is a birth certificate and driver's license. From January 8th, 2007 on, U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico by air will need a passport to return to the United States. Those traveling by land or sea may travel without a passport until June 2009, when a passport will be required for all travelers.
This is how the rules stand at the moment, but they may change again. It's a good idea to get a passport if you're planning to travel to Mexico, whether or not the U.S. will require it upon your return to the United States. Having a passport may help you to avoid hassles and it's the best form of identification outside of your country.

Its not that I cannot afford it, its because I CHOSE not to pay for something that once was free. Its like the government providing an entitlement benefit, like social security, and then taking it away.
By being thrifty I can be a world travellor. I tell people I am saving for my next million, and it is true.

Going to Reynosa BT. Leaving Friday evening.
Got to stop through Laredo on my way to McAllen, and decided to check out BT. Since I had my entire tractor-trailer with me I decided to go with one of the shuttle services that operate from the Laredo truckstops. Left Saturday with "Kenny", and four other horny truckers at around 1900. He charges $25 to ride inside his truck, and twenty if the night is busy and you have to ride in the bed of the pick-up. Got to BT and parked outside of the Shamrock. I went in drank one beer ($2) and left. There seemed to be around 4 to 6 girls there at 1915, but I only considered 2 fuckable. Although the quality is suspect sometimes, they do get the girls out early so when the shuttles get there at 1915ish the girls are all ready. Got a door girl, ? Erika maybe? Not sure of the name, but she was on the right, near the very top, of the street that goes parallel to the street you enter the zone on. Ok looking girl, $20 for head. Went to DaNash to sightsee, but they weren't opening until 2200. Ended up at Tamyko, ended up negotiating with a big-titted strawberry blonde. Ended up getting an hour for $. 8+room fee. Good service, and I almost hit it again the next night. Then went back to Papagayos and drank till we left at midnight. On the way out the girl in the taxi in front of us was one of the star girls from Tamyko, and one of the other truckers started telling us how some guy took her to Lake Wales, Fl, fucked her silly, and then left her there to fend for herself. And that she fucked a lot of black guys like myself. (Ooh, foreshadowing! )
Sunday! Back on the grind, as it were. Went to Shamrock. Dead. 4 girls, one fuckable, one borderline, 2 gorditas. No other customers. Went to Papagayos, got pitched by "Lucero", older but still very nice blonde. She wanted $100 for FS, I laughed in her face, and then she walked around and blackballed me to the rest of the girls. No big loss, there were about 7 there at 1915. Went to the re-opened Marabu, they said they had three girls working, I only saw one, Adrianna? Very acceptable brunette. Drank a beer, shot shit with the "part-owner" about how he wanted to have the place have a laid back atmosphere. You can't get more laid back than dead, I guess.
Rolled back to Papagayo's, much more girls there, probably about 15. But they were getting snapped up so fast, I thought it was going out of style. DaNash, was just getting started around 1030. Saw a light brunette, very young looking reading by the bathrooms with another hottie dressed in a policia stripper uniform. Both statred negotiations at 150. Have fun without me. Went to Tamykos, talked to Martha, brunette, very skinny, 24 anos, probably 32a/be-22-34, very good english. Asked her about Lake Wales and her eyes lit up, and she wanted to know how I knew she lived in Florida. Took her to the room for $50+16+1 propina. In room, she gave cbj, mish, doggy, and lots of cg. IMHO, not the most loving girl in the world, but she is good for a PSE type fuck. She does date a lot more black guys than normal, so if that's not your thing be forewarned. Also got ten dollar head from a door girl on the way out of the zona. Honestly at this point I remember nothing about her.
Please excuse my not remembering some of the girls "nombres artisticos". I'm writing this a state away in a NyQuil stupor. Thanks for the scouting info.
Final stats: Days: 2 Girls: 4 Times popped off: 5 Cost of girls: $197 Transport and other incidental costs(Dos equis) $70 approx.

I was down last Friday night. Planned to be back Saturday but did not care to return.
Mexican Border cops are a hassle. .Got to BE a little early and was hassled again to get in.
The action and quality of he girls is way down from years past. There are more pretty door girls than I have seen in the past. They have poor attitudes and not much better on the service.
Michael, "Mike" is still working in Papas. Good guy to know if you do not speak the language. He is probably the shortest waiter there, has a thin mustash.
Guess I just remember the days before the drug wars. It is just not fun anymore.
Packed up and went to El Paso, Juraz. Much better town for our hobby. Some good looking girls and prices are about 50% of N.L. and better than 50% lower than Acuna. It is a long way for East cost guys to go though. Have not been stopped or hassled by a cop yet. Easily checked through the border, both ways with the proper ID.
I hung around the previously mentioned meeting place Friday night and did not connect with any poster on the board. I did make friends with a trucker from Florida thought. He was a nice guy, e toured the clubs and talked for quite some time.
The girls I have met here here in Juarez have a much better attitude.
