Yangon vs Dhaka... need some help understanding the "situation"
Hi, all,
I have wandered through this forum and I have to admit. It is pretty discouraging.
After 3 years based in Yangon, where night life was rather exciting. As long as you know who to talk too. The lecture of your experiences and my soon arrival to Dhaka is leaving me somewhat womewhat ondering what I am gonna do with my sleepless nights?
Can anyone tell me is there are any night clubs where encounters can happen or anything apart from the dodgy "rental" hotels?
As EZ pointed out, all is a matter of the amount of time spent locally, but I will definitely appreciate all pointers that could cut me off some learning time.
By the way, am I enquuiring about the lakeshore apartment residence. Is it worth it?
Thx
I am a new one in this community
Read your report, seems you are feeling glum about the prospect of moving to Dhaka from Yangon.
I am sure Yangon is more fun, but still lots can happen here. Where are you from originally? Most or all my friends are expats, from one of the expatriate clubs such as the american, british, dutch etc etc etc. Lot of them monger, and once you have your own place, you can compile a list of a few favorite girls you can call. I can connect you with the few i know, plus maybe even some woman who can bring new ones to you to select.
Also I will connect with this Sadhona Mahal gal who posted under the photo section, check her out and see if she is the genuine article, and if she can supply our mates with others when they are here.
Lakeshore Hotel & Apts is a very upscale property on Road 41, Gulshan. Have you seen it or are you just thinking about it from afar. Fairly expensive too if you are going to be here long term. Very public too because when you start having women come over, there is the main gate with the guards, then the lobby with the staff etc etc etc. I know a few people who have stayed there, excellent rooms, good restaurant on the ground floor, but not much privacy.
Most of them stay there if they are here for a short while such as a week or two, but if they are here on a long term assignment, they will stay there initially and then find an apt outside in the same neighborhood.
I own a building right across from the Lakeshore Hotel & Apts, it has fully furnished units, along with privacy etc etc. If you are interested, let me know your requirements, your budget, how long you gonna be here for, and I can tell you what I can offer you. You can check out the pictures of a couple of units, I have posted it under Bangladesh classified ads.
Best of luck, drop me a line when you are ready.
Ez
Hi EZ,
I am a Bangladeshi guy - working and staying out of Dhaka. I visit Dhaka as frequent as once in 2-3 months. How can I contact you ? Or do you restrict your offers for expats ONLY ? Wish to have some updates about Sadhona Mahal too. Sorry for any of your inconvenience, if does it occurs through such request.
