I found that there was no problem at all in taking one of the better-looking Casablanca girls up to the room (there are many fuglies). I was told that it was more of a problem if you brought back girls from outside (I think security is assured of a tip from the Casablanca girls).

After staying around one month I was well-known to the security so I tried bringing back a girl from Strings one night and pressed a note into his hand as we came in (I cant remember how much but it wasn't much). No worries at all and she left early next morning with no questions asked.

From then on there were no questions asked, just a wink.

I brought 2 girls back on another occasion and the guard suggested that at least one of the girls leave her ID at the counter (for your protection Sir).

Have been a passionate reader ever since I discovered this site and I really appreciate some of you posters' contribution which made this forum a really good place to get info from.

Anyway back on topic, I was in UB this summer for a very short duration but managed pay a visit to Strings hoping to bring a girl back to my hotel, unfortunately it didn't go very well for me. The place was only a quarter full when I entered the club and I think it was only after 11:30 that more people arrived. I have to say the crowd was amazing especially after 1am, and there were in fact a few that seemed to me as $$ girls but I wasn't entirely sure, so I didn't bother going over to them to start a business conversation as it will put me in an awkward situtation if they are not who i'm looking for (I might have been a bit shy). So i decide to just sit there alone and wait for someone to approach me instead, but that didn't happen either, so I left the club in disappointment.

So I was just wondering what could have been the causality in my unsuccessful hunt this summer? and how would you advise me on my next hunt in Strings because I just got back to UB again about a week ago, but for a long term stay this time.

And I would also like to know more about Amrita, as I rented an apartment near the UB bank, so its within proximal reach.

In strings, keep eye contact, smile, wink, offer them a beer, ask the waiter behind the bar to pass them a drink etc.

If you want more action, head to the dance floor. Probably get some there too.

With regards to amrita, I would say its not a safe place to go alone if you look foreign. Get a local to go with you. To be honest, if you are at UB bank, a lot of clubs are accesible. Like Face Club, or Metropolis, Silence or even Medusa

You can even try Mass club down the street of the main road near UB Palace. There's a lot of place to drink and club, but the safest bet for a foreigner is always Strings. Less trouble with the locals.

Rather annoying as I was quite looking forward to going back there, I'm leaving next Tuesday and I don't expect it will open on Monday as it's women's day.

Walked around Peace Avenue for a couple of hours today and couldn't find anywhere. Found a Thai Massage place near to the Bayangol (Vista building), was a very good massage, but also very legit.

Any suggestions for anywhere else to try? I'm determined not to resort to Casablanca.

I am heading for UB next Monday April 12 and will be there working until August and I was planning on hitting UB Massage first thing. Distressed to learn it is closed and now not so accessible but I will follow your tips and see if I can get there again.

Just a few questions about the other places I used to frequent.

I stayed in Bayangol last trip (2008) and Casablanca was OK for me but you need to use the sieve on the women along the back wall near the bar. Sarora hotel place is not there anymore and there are some other similar places around the town. There is a fairly clean one inside (downstairs into basement) of Kaiser hotel near South Korean embassy.

Actually couple days ago, I noticed that in the basement where UBM used to be there was a sign said "New UB Massage". Didn't go there and don't know how is it there. Been to Mercy recently and a girl that I used to ask for is not working there anymore. So probably won't go there again as massage wasn't good at all.

The area where UB Massage now in is fairly safe if you take a taxi straight to their doors. Otherwise it's not advised to walk around.

Generally, I don't like Casa, Irish or even Strings offerings. Sometimes, I take expats out around the city to check these places and might be able to help some people. Try my nick at yahoo.
