It's 16 years ago since I studied at PUC so I can't provide you with any updated info. Send an email to Departamento de Letras/PUC and ask for info.

At least you hung in there. Which girl seemed most interested? You could have gone for the isolation within the club with her, or have her help you with your Portuguese, show you around PUC, find out what they're doing after, etc.

I viewed the link above and I discovered that the cost for one semester (90 hours) of Level 1, 2 or 3 is 2910 Reais (or approximately $1600 US Dollars using an exchange rate of 1.82). This is about $18 US Dollars an hour (1600/90). Is this a fair price?

I don't know, I've thrown some playful negs at Brazilian girls before and sometimes they take it the wrong way, or it gets "lost in translation". So I am way more cautious nowadays. The girl that supposedly wanted the one-night stand seemed most interested, but it didn't really cross my mind to pursue anything because I only had a couple of days left in Rio and wasn't really willing to work at pursuing a non-pro under time constraints. I would have taken a different approach if I stayed longer term in Rio, which will happen in the future.
