May I make a suggestion? Until you've actually been there don't post information you're not sure about? Coger in Colombia is used in many different ways, and is not necessarily vulgar.

I am no expert on Colombia with only 2 trips to the MDE & 1 to the CTG, but the only one of those I have ever heard of was culiar & that was in Costa Rica. I find a good way to get the local slang is to read the girls ads on Mil eroticos & translate if you have to. That way you can find out what type of service they give & learn how to ask for it. Just my thoughts.

In fact they are from different Colombian areas and they use different words for the same thing. One of them show me a dictionary of Colombian terms and phrases were I got the information I provided on my post. Maybe culiar is used in areas you have never visited, who knows.

The 'g' changes to a 'j' in the present tense, to retain the same sound. That is necessary because 'g' is not the same sound when followed by an 'o' as it is when followed by an 'e. '.

It's the verb for to grab or to catch in Spain as well, where it has no vulgar connotation. In Cuba, if someone says ¿Quieres coger? They are asking you if you want to throw a baseball around. It means fuck in Argentina, Paraguay, and I think Uruguay as well. In those places, when you want to grab something, you use the verb 'agarrar. '.

Argies make fun of españoles: 'Vamos a coger el autobus' and then the españoles make fun of the argentinos' accent: ¡Zhámeme zha! It's all good, clean fun.

When I travel to Santo Domingo people ask me "are you going to rent a car or call a cab?" Voy a coger un taxi en Santo Domingo is my answer. Then I am going to el colmadon y voy a coger (grab) una cerveza bien FRa de la nevera. Later I am going to fuck (coger, chichar, singar, follar) a girl. Sometimes I like to make people look like a fool (coger de tonto). When I was in college I hated mid term exams (odiaba coger examenes de mitad de semestre). I know the many uses of the word coger.

Can't speak Spanish for shit. Ask any Latin person from countries other than I've mentioned and we all agree. Until y'all can say por que, hamburger, importante vs. Pol que, hambulger, impoltante. Don't teach us Spanish. Your accents sound terrible and your Spanish is horrible!

Yeah, that was uncalled for. I have been to 16 Spanish-speaking countries plus Puerto Rico and they all have their own way of speaking. Yes, in Puerto Rico and Cuba they swallow their esses, and sometimes add an extra ess on the end of the word to make up for the ones they swallow. So postre is potre and sometimes you hear things like 'pusistes.' Other places might roll the 'r' at the end of the word, which is not correct. Sometimes less educated people in Spain say 'cuala.'

Just like in the Yew Ess you might hear 'Where the shitter at?' Or 'y'all' which is not a word of any kind in English. Pot. Kettle. Etc.

I'm typing for speed so please excuse a few spelling and grammar mistakes. I can say with no ego that I don't speak Spanish. Yes, it is harder without knowing Spanish in Medellin. But I get by with loose words string together from my limited vocab and some funny desperate arm movements / gestures with a smile. I am also of a skin complexion that can seen from a mile away. I cannot blend in or hide in a crowd and that makes things interesting. All in all, I adjusted my expectations and take things as it is. I'm a budget kind of guy. This isn't everyone's idea of a vacation. I can see why being a baller and spending lots of money can be fun. But I am not that guy. Since my outcome per girl can wildly differ, I keep track of cost per session, cost per hour, and cost per enjoyment for maximum dollar efficiency. Budgeting is how I can afford this vacation anyway, so old habits die hard. My method with chicas is a large number of on hand auditioning, which I promote the winners upward. Large pools are collected from low end casas which is my preference. (at least 4 a day) Slumming it like this isn't everyone's cup of tea. It can be an exhausting method with varying results. For me, the important thing is to find girls with the "it" factor, enjoying them at the lowest cost possible. Attitude, skill, and enthusiasm is really important in my chicas. Last time I found 5 girls with "it" factors and had a busy rotation. Sometimes I find none which can be depressing. It's my second day back in Medellin, and I am happy I found one "it" girl. So when you read this, please adjust your expectations to your own circumstance. Also I'm just a few trips in and not a pro like most of the gents who post reports, so be kind. I got a hotel in the La Mayorista area because I wanted to see what it was like. La Mayorista isn't bad. The plus side is you can get 6, 7 or even 8 level girls easily from down the street. The main action in on a single block which is a lot smaller than centro but feels manageable. Also I haven't been harassed by a beggar once which is really awesome. Less Trans in the mix too. I feel signaficantly safer in Mayorista as long as I don't wonder off from the main area. It is a bit too far from everywhere else (centro, El Poblado) though. The chica ranges from 6 to maximum of 8. No stunners here but there are a number of doable girls around most time of the day. Weekday nights seem to be the better time to partake. On weekends the locals drive up the the demand and the girls aren't as available or abundant. I also assume they travel to other places for clients or just go partying as well. I don't really like SW action too much. The rooms the girls want to bring you to is purely designed to bleed money off of you. Some girls are okay looking with not much skill, then ask for more money or drinks and such. Of course I fee like the girl is getting cut. Overall, the room cost can far exceed the cost of the girl. I heard anywhere from 40 K to 70 K per half an hour for the girl only. The room cost ranged from 15 K to 50 K. I am assuming the wide range is because I am an obvious gringo with no Spanish. The winning move is to bring the girl to your hotel which cut the cost down a lot. Of course you'll have to check with your hotel first, and make sure she has ID on her. However, I have never felt safe doing that yet, especially with unproven girls. I'll have to found an arrangement that works for me.
