There's at least two companies that rent out apartments in Colombia and they have a bunch around parque lleras. I hope you like noise, though.

2,000 pesos is the normal tip. I feel better about handing out 2,000 pesos tips to the ugliest women in the strip clubs than I do about paying 2,000 to see a sub standard casa lineup. Of course, 2,000 pesos is meaningless to anyone with the money to travel to Colombia from abroad.

I have received much good information from this forum in the past and these reports are my way of contributing back to the source. I am of a novice level. So my report, opinions or so-called advice" should be taken with that in mind. Always trust the posts of the more experience members as they are the reason I can enjoy Medellin right now. Today was a centro and late Mayorista day. Instead of finding new prospects, I spent the afternoon with my first "it" girl. Man that loving was good. The rest of the afternoon was spent recovering from all the running around. After taking care of some errands it was night time at centro. Most of my experiences have been at night so far. I tip my hat to the gentleman who gets 30 K sessions during the day. Remind me there are higher levels in this hobby and I thrive to be there one day. The latest I ever been out was at 3 am and there is no godly reason to do so. It is very dangerous at that hour and no gems are going to stick it out that late ever. I'd say midnight is the lastest you should be at centro and should be fully sober for safety reasons. I walked about the area in front of the white church, behind the church, and the two streets west of the strip clubs where most of the bars with the flashing multi color lights are. The two streets west of the strip club is the main area and it is really sketchy. A lot beggars and drugged up people walking around. The locals were having a good time though. They are not the most classy or well off locals but it is their city and their time to party. I was happy to see them enjoying themselves. Again no gringos in sight. And of course there are the girls. The selection topped off at 7 with a rare few 8's. The area in front and behind the church is even sketchier at night with the hint of grime. The only level 9 girl I ran into was going home early but I got her number though. If you do go to centro at night, please do not go any further than the last bar with the flashing lights in any direction, and never take the dark narrow side streets. I passed by those areas on my taxi ride back and I still wish I can un-see what I saw. It's just really a saddening and dangerous sight. I was quoted 65 k to 85 k with rooms per half an hour. In the end, I didn't find a girl I liked or worth the risk so to speak, and moved on to the strip clubs.

The strip clubs in general staff more beautiful girls with a higher price, and a lot of times the girls set the price. From my previous experience, I agree with the more experience gentleman on this forum that Conejitas and Barre Ejecutiva are my favorite. Those who been to Barre Ejecutiva know the interesting men's bathroom. I partook on a previous trip. Barre Ejecutiva was mildly occupied with some solid selections available (mostly 8's). I had an eye on a slim cutie on stage and to my surprise she did one or two basic pole tricks. I tipped her when she came around but her pissy attitude sucked and I passed. I was quoted from 70 K to 90 K for half an hour from various girls, only staying around 20 minutes. Conetijas was next, which I liked better. If you know Conejitas you know the spiral staircase behind the locker room. They used to ring a really loud and annoying bell multiple times when someone walks in the club. They didn't last night, and I hope they never do again. Contigas was having a good night, just packed around 11 pm. Because it was packed, there was no pressure to tip dancers as half the locals refused to tip girls they didn't like. I got to only tip the girls which I thought were deserving (at least a nice attitude) and I was much happier than on my previous visits. Oddly, some really solid girls were available. I had 3 quality girls I was interested in and they were all ready to go. As the locals tend to only buy drinks and hang around, a lot of the girls were trying but failing and bored. I took up the hottest girl that I liked on her offer, and luckily it turned out she had a fun attitude. Another "it" girl found. The funny thing is after I took one girl upstairs, a number of girls started to actively proposition me all over. (Must have been a slow night) I was quoted anywhere from 70 K to 90 K for half an hour with room. I recommend fase dose down south closer to el poblado if you want a bigger selection of hot girls. They have a cover and I think it's over 150 K for 45 minutes. But many gringos love it. I had my fun and I left to La mayorista. When I arrived at La mayorista, it was well past midnight. I immediately noticed how much I safer I felt than the streets of centro. As evidence of that I saw two gringos happily doing their thing. I had one session in La mayorista before which didn't work out. So I pressed to find something good this time. A few 7's and 8's were still around. I was offered anywhere from 70 to 90 K for half an hour including the room. Still think I'm getting the gringo with no spanish price. Unfortunately, I didn't feel for any of them and didn't partake. There is potential in La mayorista and I really want to make it work. We'll see what happens. Signing off.

Wow, I can't believe that somebody would make a big deal out of tipping less than $1 to a girl who gets up on stage. And this cheap charlie thinks it's OK not to tip. F'and A. Whether you think the chica is hot or not, or whether you liked her dancing ability, but she just got up on stage and danced. In my opinion, she deserves a tip. Seriously, if you don't agree, why do you even go? You must expect them to dance for free since I don't think they get paid anything other than the tips, drinks, and sessions.

Regarding Centro and Mayorista. Those are not places for gringos to be. It's scraping the bottom of the barrel. You will rarely find a gringo that isn't counting every peso. If you can afford a trip to Colombia, do you really want to look through a sea of 4-5's to find the occasional 7 while putting yourself in harm's way?

I have gone once on my first trip just to see what it was like but haven't been since and don't plan on ever going again, unless maybe some newbie asks me to show it to him once.

The Casa's where they parade the girls by and you have to choose from that feels too much like a canned hunt to me. I had fun cruising the red light zones and hunting down my prey in a dangerous part of town. LOL.

Although really in daylight it didn't seem very dangerous to me, nothing like Kandahar. LOL. At night, yeah, then it gets a lot more dicey and I stuck to the strip clubs.

And a 18 to 20 yo 7 to 8 for $10 is just too good to pass up for me, I do have somewhat of a budget. I kicked myself for not getting one of my VeraCruz girls numbers, she was hot and fun.

You definitely have to watch your ass, but there are gems to be found. I think the searching and the danger may actually add a thrill for some hobbyists.

Agree on the tipping to strippers. I look at it as part of hanging out in the club. Even if the chica is ugly, I still smile and give her 2 mil pesos.

As Number43 stated, "there was no pressure to tip dancers as half the locals refused to tip girls they didn't like." It's called a gratuity, not an obligation. One foreigner in the place and he should shoulder the burden for what end? If the locals do not feel the need to do it then why would you? Everyone seems to want to dress like locals, walk like locals, and do other shit like locals; but when it comes down to pussy, fuck what the locals do because the gringo knows better than them. One more gringo heading down to fuck things up the same as the back home he is trying to get away from. Move over Rio, Sosua, and Cartagena.

P.S. Any idea why this custom-made sign inside of the locker room in a hooker den in Brazil is in English and not Portuguese? Hint: Because Brazilians fucking know better! So there is no need to even suggest it in the local language. In that place even the cashiers ask foreigners for tips when they cash them out. Didn't used to be that way though.

I tip them all. A 1 k or 2 k tip isn't going to throw off the economics and helps make up for the cheap guys who don't tip at all. I also go to the centro for the thrill a bit. It's kind of fun looking for a gem and if you find one you can usually have a session back at your place for round 2. It's also much easier when you're done, you just pay and leave! I've had more than a few times in the past where I wanted a chic to leave my condo so I could sleep / work / fuck another girl and she wouldn't or would drag her feet. It sucked!
