The cost was I believe about 50 US $ equivalent. They were stating it takes 4 hours to get your results, so obviously you would have to be at the airport in plenty of time. I mentioned this in an earlier post. Otherwise, as since people may be talking out their you know what's: drugstore tests advertising too-quick results were said to be not acceptable as some were 'handwritten. ' The results at drive-up testing centers in Barra for this reason were also (at the time, 24 January) not acceptable for entry to USA. For departing Rio, there's a testing center at Santos Dumont. Can't speak to GIG. Clearly, the situation is changeable.

The USCDC began restricting reentry into the US by requiring that travelers possess a negative result from a recent (<72 hours) viral covid test (either PCR or antigen). United Airlines is endorsing the solution found below. The clever idea is to order a test kit while in the US and travel with it to the foreign country. The user preforms the test procedure while being observed remotely via video. In about 20 minutes, the test kit returns the results which are displayed to the remote observer. The observer certifies the result and sends an official document to the user electronically. The user can then use the result document to leave the country.

The kits cost $25/kit. However, the minimum order is 6 kits.

Sao Paulo is a very big metropolis so alot of places are scattered around the city.

Do the clinicas during the day 1-4 pm (they open earlier but there will be few girls in the morning as some work the boates and come home late and wake up later) most of the clinicas are located in moema / indianapolis. Abbobora, miruna, Carina's etc and all within walking distance. Very cheap and good amount of girls. I've attached an example of the test results screen associated with Abbott's test on the NAVICA app. The page simply mentions BinaxNow Covid-19 test, but doesn't mention that it was a home test. The page does include the result, result date, lot number, and serial number.

At the airport on your departure date, I would suggest that you dont volunteer any information about it being a home test kit, nor should one ask any airline attendant if a home test is valid. If asked, the name of the lab is NAVICA and the test was performed by a healthcare professional.

Don't give the airline employees too much credit for having intimate knowledge of regulations or documentation. I've dealt with them with respect to documentation of Covid test results when flying to Panama, Colombia, and returning to the US, and they don't scrutinize the paperwork very closely.
