Except for internet, utilities are pretty cheap. Internet is reasonable unless you need high speed.
When a listing says "extra people no charge" does that mean visitor friendly? I only found one place that explicitly says visitor friendly. The problem is that it's right in laureles and the windows aren't soundproof.

Like I said, in El Poblado there are tons of apartments which are chica friendly. Just ask if you are allowed to bring dates back to the apartment. You'll either get a 'no' or a 'yes. '.

BTW, the default answer should be 'yes.' The problem is there are people going to Medellin and staying up all night with loud music banging away at hookers. So it may help to let the host know you won't be partying late at night with loud music.

Is that okay?

And I never had a problem with any of them. Or any other Airbnb apartment over the years.
But I don't pick up street walkers, I don't have parties or play loud music late at night. I don't share my place with other mongers. I don't do short time. All the women I have over spend the night and since I have a rotation of 3 to 4 women I sleep with 80 percent of the time. There are only a handful of nights out of the month that I might have new girl spend the night.

It's not so unusual. It's better organized and more transparent than government aid programs (yes, it's a government aid program) in other countries. For example, in Europe and North America social programs such as supplemental nutrition for children, graduated fees for health care, "Section 8" housing assistance, etc. Are based on household income. It's just another version of the same thing.

Unfortunately ISG doesn't have the bandwidth for high res. Here's one I used last year for what I call the casa quick circuit (as they're all an easy walk from each other). Are these all still open? I've consistently found them pretty good value.
It's good to have two or three maps if you are new to the area. With a few googlemaps screencaps you can locate your way quickly. There's a kmz file too but jpgs travel well.

There are few souvenirs and food is available. Looked safe to me. Since you are in good shape, you can take longer walks there, and don't forget about elevation.
I would say its worth it. Something to do and a nice view of the city.

You do have to get off the train and take one of the Metrocables to Santo Domingo at the terminus of Line K. You pay another fee to catch this metrocable to the park. The ride up is worth the price, as it is rather long and you get a nice view as you ascend up the mountain and over its crest. There are minimal facilities up at the top, and I don't recall any souvenirs of note. I think there is a restaurant nearby and I saw a food stand on the side on the road, going down the hill.
Note, If you take a girl with you and you are in the car alone you will have enough time, maybe 20 minutes for a quickie. I tried to do that on way back with the Canadian tourist woman I met, but a Chinese tourist popped into our car at the last minute as we departed and we rode back down in silence. Prior to that, a young, local couple declined to share the ride down with us, possibly hoping to get a car alone and do the same thing I had in mind.
Not to incite any fear, but I would be reluctant to wander around the Santo Domingo stop. I read an account of tourists being robbed while exploring the very poor neighborhood. We stopped and got some slices of fruit from a street vendor near the Santo Domingo stop, but didn't stray far. We stood out like sore thumbs in an impoverished area. After that, we went back to La 70. I told Miss Canada I needed to take a nap because I didn't sleep well the previous night, and we could meet up later in the evening. I pretended to head back to my hotel, but actually, I went to Centro to check out the street action at dusk.
