Well this is not what you want to hear:

'AGC preparing terrorist attacks in Colombia's biggest cities'.
"Colombia's largest illegal armed group, the AGC, A. K. A. "LOS Urabeños," is planning terrorist attacks in Colombia's largest cities Bogota and Medellin, according to an internal police memo leaked to Blu Radio.
According to the internal warning that was reportedly sent out on Tuesday, the group called the "Gulf Clan" by the authorities, would be planning car bomb attacks in Bogota and Medellin amid an apparent escalation of paramilitary violence that has been targeting civilians and security forces alike.
According to the memo, the alleged planned terrorism campaign would be coordinated by "Gavila," one of the members of the group's central command that is led by former AUC mid-level commander "Otoniel."
The AGC, also Colombia's largest drug trafficking organization, has been requesting inclusion in a peace process with the Marxist FARC guerrilla group, the paramilitaries' traditional enemies."
I fly back to Medellin in 10 days. Cars bombs not on my list of things to do.
Thanks for sharing Yippie
This gentleman Mike963 deserves good advice. Since he speaks no Spanish he belongs at the Mansion assuming he can afford it. I think that's where he's going and that's good. I'll admit that the concept of "a good time" is relative. I mean the scene in the US is so horrible most places that even fumbling around Medellin with a translator app given to frequent inaccuracy listening to all the "que? S and "como? S is still better than trying to score some junkie primadonna off backpage. But Medellin is far from English friendly. If one wants some of that there's the Mansion or the Gringo Gulch in Costa Rica.
