i'm staying at noble place guesthouse at soi 13/2 where i stayed in december. there is no pool but for 550 you get a balcony and a large room with fridge, lcd and aircon with better furnishings.

it's more of a furnished apartment with no reception after 6pm so be careful when you pick up those **** lb's on beach road!

for those who want peace and quiet get a room facing away from the street.

Does anyone know if the rooms at Tim Bar on 2nd road have had a refit as I noticed they've changed the facarde.

I've been busily rtff'ing for an upcoming trip to Pattya from 12/1/2012 to 1/13/2013 and have been unable to find feedback on the Irish Rovers Guesthouse. Thanks to the forum here, we've eliminated the Billabong, sadly the Metro Apts are booked up, and at the moment Pasadena is still asking for 42K baht for their large rooms. Has anyone stayed at the Rovers before? We are looking to book two rooms, large w / balcony, which I believe are available at this time. Is the hotel girl friendly, and, as stairs are a hassle for my travelling companion does anyone know the layout of the hotel and what floor the large rooms are on. Any other feedback concerning the hotel, cleanliness, staff, noise, etc, would be greatly appreciated as well. Trip advisor and Agoda seem to give it decent ratings, but I'd like to hear from you all as well. Not sure why I can't find the info here, believe me I did try.

Do to the morning they had no rooms for me to look at plus they are full at this time. I spoke to a English Chap? Who has been staying there for nearly six month and he provided me with this information. There are two types of room 650 small 850 large, he indicated that the small rooms are small and that it is well worth the upgrade to large since you get the balcony. Based on the building design which is very typical I believe there are most likely no more than a dozen rooms and certainly no ELEVATOR. If you were staying at Billabong or Metro buildings are the same no elevator. For a elevator you will have to stay at one of the bigger hotels like Pasadena? L. K. Metro? Any hotel whether large or small in facing the front would have a noise problem in this court yard since it is loaded with action. Backtracking, the hotel or guest house building is like the ones you would do shortime on Soi 6. These buildings are very common! Of course the hotel is girlfriendly. Oh the guy said the place and room are clean typical shower and toilet together and floor is always wet. The lobby is combination reception/bar and serves breakfast... claims best in Pattaya for 99 baht. this claim is made by everyone but the picture look good?

Quite a bit of trash. The beach may be better, but it's all relative. Pattaya just isn't much of a place for beaches, unless you ferry to the islands.

(If you are really set on Jomtien, and it is quieter than the city, I would not necessarily be deterred by the 25-minute baht bus ride to / from Walking Street each way. Worst-case scenario is a 200 baht taxi (or baht bus rental) in late / early hours.)

The hotel market may not be much better. I have previously recommended the Furama Jomtien Beach based on its value (low season at about 40 USD per night on Agoda with cancellation penalty). Stayed there last week and cannot recommend it any more. Lots of Russians and Asian (mainland Chinese: rude) tour groups. A formerly stunning property is shoddy, the breakfast buffet getting worse by the day. It is GF, though the exit calls to ensure it was OK to return the girls' IDs were not consistently made. From the looks of the area, I'd say that the Furama may well be one of the nicer properties on Jomtien. Be sure to reserve a double room to avoid a joiner fee.


There is a really nice restaurant, called Surf Kitchen, near the north turn onto Jomtien Beach. A lovely meal with appetizer and two entrees can be had for less than 10 USD. Brought my favorite gogo dancer there and she agreed the food was very tasty.

Has anyone stayed at the Sea Me Spring hotel on soi 10 recently? Was wondering what the Me Rooms are like. Do they have balconies? What kind of views from the Me Room balconies?

Any recent reviews of this hotel, etc?
