I'll be taking a business trip to San Jose next March and may want to visit one other place from Costa Rica. I've been to Curacao / Campo before and had a great time but am curious about Colombia, particularly Medellin. I don't speak Spanish so I realize that's a disadvantage to Colombia. Any thoughts from mongers who have been to both Curacao and Colombia?

There are many comments in this thread saying that mongering in Colombia is superior to visiting Campo. However, almost every poster that made such a comment returned to Campo and posted glowing reports. So how does Colombia compare? Neither has to be better but what are the differences in the experience?

I have visited Colombia and most of Latin America as a tourist (no mongering) and absolutely love all the countries. I am only asking in terms of mongering.

Campo is fairly cheap, safe, and relaxing granted there are a fixed number of generally not gorgeous women.

There was a comment in this thread that San Jose is actually more expensive for mongering than Campo. So is mongering in Colombia cheaper?

I am expecting non-mongering costs in the big cities to be similar to Curacao where I spend $120 a day ($35 car, $70 hotel, $15 food. Yes I am cheap / I save the money for the girls). Last I remember it was hard to get a decent hotel under $80 in Bogota; food will cost the same and then there are some taxis so the end number is not very different.

Smaller cities are probably much cheaper (?). But what do you do outside of mongering. In Curacao at least I can go to the beach if bored or diving.

Are the girls that much prettier and do they give that much better service in the homeland?. It seems to be the same hit and miss from a few reports I read in Colombia threads. Plus you can get robbed and may have to deal with pimps / bar owners.
