Silver lining in all this chaos.
As you all know times are a little hectic here in Bahrain. That doesn't mean there isn't a silver lining. I got a text message from a really sweet, cute Chinese girl from Diggers a few days ago. She lives in Gudaibiya and told me she was scared to leave her flat and that she had not eaten or bathed in several days. Apparently the landlord shut off water and would not turn it back on. I told her I would come by and bring her back to my flat. Her flat is NOT in a dangerous part of town but they're all scared because they kept hearing stories of armed protesters attacking Asians. We stopped off and got some food and then back to my place. She jumped in the shower and cleaned up very nice. After putting a little food in her she was relaxed and happy. Needles to say I screwed my brains out for 3 days straight. I helped her change her return flight to Dubai and she left a couple days ago. I tried to give her a little money but she refused it. All I can say is WOW. I'm now helping a couple of her girlfriends change their tickets. Right now it's taking about 4 days before the next flights are available. I'm thinking I'll have a few more days of fun before this is all over with. I'm sure my buddy Marad39 is waiting for that text message to come over and help satisfy the girls. I got your back mate and will contact you if this turns into an orgy.
Friday night curfew busting. . .
Friday night had a quick look around town.
F1 club was closed up tight. Warbler was open, but empty. More staff than customers, so I wandered off to Juffair. The Dublin bar was open and the band was playing to a reduced audience, mainly Americans. No WGs sighted, though there were a couple of Filipinas who might have been on the game. The sports bar was open and had a smattering of WGs in there. I don't like the high prices the bar charges for drinks so I had one drink and moved on.
To the Wrangler. Open, but not very busy. The club at the back whose name escapes me at the moment was also open. Definitely not as crowded as in the past. A few tasty women, mainly split between Africans and Filiipinos. With the prospect of road blocks ahead, I didn't stay for long, or have too much to drink. I would imagine that the Rock Bottom and Euphoria would be open since they are right next to the base.
A bit pissed off that my usual haunt off Exhibition road has lost all it's girls. The hotel was dark, but open, but was told that the girls had checked out. Bummer. However, the receptionist took me round to a nearby venue which had Thai, Chinese and Indonesian. I chose to phone the Indo number. A mistake. The tart didn't speak any English. That should have warned me off. Still she wasn't that bad looking so I went ahead. Turns out she spoke Arabic and, after paying in advance (not a great deal, mind you) she was very mediocre. No kissing, no DATY, no other positions apart from mish. Ah, I miss the Chinese work ethic. I'll probably return and try a Chinese. Don't bother with a short Indonesian if you come across one. As I said, I didn't pay that much and put it down to experience.
I've been informed that the girls may start to come back to Diggers starting from Monday or Tuesday. I'll confirm this if I get more information. The town is very quiet, especially in the area surrounding the main drag from the Seef flyover to the Crowne Plaza traffic lights. Heavy military presence, and a curfew from 8pm-4am. Something I would not recommend being caught in. Juffair on the other hand seems very normal, though seriously down in numbers.
I would not advise trying to go anywhere near what used to be the Pearl roundabout. The military have established a bridgehead (so to speak) and there is serious firepower in the form of MBT (main battle tanks, American M60A3) , armoured cars, armoured troop carriers (both with high calibre weapons on top) and armed humvees. You do NOT want to mess with them. All Bahraini vehicles, no Saudi.
Lets hope things get better sooner rather than later.
Good luck hunting and hobbying.
Keep safe.

Diggers' girls migrated to Boomers
Went out to Diggers last night, the crowd is returning but very slowly due to the curfew.
Saw a few potentials but nothing good, needless to say the curfew has totally killed the market here, everyone is just staying indoors.
On that note, anyone have #s or contact info for any hotties? It seems to be all the ones hitting the clubs are over 40.
I used to hit up expatriates for randoms and then when they clamped down I was hitting justlanded but they clamped down too. We need our own directory and index for Bahrain!
Sincerely,
Joe
I think a lot of the Digger regulars have migrated over to Boomers. I saw at least 10 last night I recognized from Diggers. Also, a lot of the hotties left Bahrain for Dubai (I personally helped 3 of them change their tickets). I think until things get back to normal, and the curfew is removed, you're going to see less than stellar talent there.
